Whatever it is Singapore, don't claim food you share with Malaysia as yours. You may have better versions of some but the dish isn't yours

Food and whatever countries they origin from are unclear. And obvious food in Singapore originate from other race that brought it to Singapore from their countries. For example,briyani is obviously from India or Pakistan but it doesn’t discount the fact that it is a part of Singapore’s food culture and history. Claiming ownership for the creation of food is just plain petty
