The answer is about 30 feet....that's how far they can spray. If you get it in your eyes, it can temporarily blind you.

@@outandaboutwithsamiam5034 That is good information know that skunks can spray 30 feet. I would always keep my distance anyway when it comes to wildlife and people should always keep their distance from wildlife unless you are hunting, fishing and or trapping

I grew up on a farm. 💚One day my sister and i were waiting in the shade of a wagon while Dad was picking🌽 corn in the back of the field by the woods. He stopped and came walking up to the gate where we were waiting with the truck.... He said he got a Skunk 🦨caught in the combine and had to stop a few days. About that time we got a real good whiff of the 🦨skunk spray...🤣😁

Such a wonderful sight seeing the "goaty-goats" leave the pen and go forage. I really believe the cleanup you have been doing is going to improve the grass growing and give you even more foraging in the "pasture" for the goats. Can you overseed it?

I loved it when you let the goats out and the mommies all took off for the hill of grass and the babies stayed in the pen, almost like saying, "mommy, where are you going. Wait for me. I have little legs." Your tom turkey is so beautiful. I know they can get aggressive at times, but you are lucky yours hasnit as much as Seans and the Walkers toms. Someone is headed to a huge turkey barbecue!

Hello Brandon and Stephanie, I notice you had a dislike for those Bodar Trees. They are also known as Osage Orange. Native Americans prize the wood to make Bows. A posible alternative cash crop might be cutting limbs that would begood material to those that would fabricate bows. Just a thought. Writing from Portland, Oregon.

A skunk can spray up to 10 -15 feet dependent of its age/size. One can smell that wicked scent up to 3 1/2 miles away. Years ago we ran over one on the highway (they have very bad eye sight - only being able to see about 10 feet) we tried many different ways to get that smell out of our car over the course of days. It was awful! Now days they probably have a special product you can buy to rid that smell.

My daughter and I built soccer goals using netting (bought on Am..) and the frame was made with PVC pipe. It's like adult tinker toys because you can guy whatever length, and angle and how many connectors you need. I bet you could do the same for a baseball net or any other sports netting devices. We liked the PVC because it was easier to use, instead of using metal and having to weld, or screw and cut those pieces together, so for 2 women, the PVC was a joy to create.

Brandon, this is what you need to remove those skunks from the trap. True story. My husband went down to my dads ranch with him and there was a trapped skunk. My husband could never smell. So daddy said, "well Rick, since you can't smell I guess you wouldn't mind taking the skunk out of the trap." Rick did but on the back into town daddy told him he didn't smell too good and probably wouldn't mind riding in the bed of the pickup. We have had a good laugh about this for many years. Just get yourself a couple of son-in-laws and you will have your problem solved! Bless you Daddy!!
