Ah, Payne...if only you had been there when I opened by first Darkness figma. Your review was spot on. Everything that bothered you about the figure bothered me. However, my experience of opening the figure ended with the elbow joint on her left arm breaking clean off while swapping out the torsos. I have never...EVER..had that happen with a figma, and I know of at least one other person who experienced the same issue. For you and all of our fellow figma collectors watching, please be very, VERY careful with those elbow joints. They are not of the quality we are accustomed too. Good Smile is sending a replacement elbow joint, but they said it could take months for me to get it due to shipping complications from COVID. I also had to glue her right shoulder pad back on after it came loose from that gummy joint that looks like it could also break off at any moment. I finally just gave up and bought another one because I love the character, but I’m becoming very disenchanted. The prices keep going up, and the quality keeps going down. A lot will be riding on Raphtalia (Rising of the Shield Hero) when she comes out next month. She’s another of my favorite characters and I really need to have a positive experience with her if I’m going to keep collecting the line.
My figure doesn't have this problem on the shoulder, it was only in the sheath and I was unable to put the sword. And it has little articulation in the chest, but in general it is a good figure at least mine. I think it was a less good launch by the good smile company, I bought Figma Erwin and I think it's one of the best figma.
I feel this pain, just opened my darkness and her left art broke off on the shoulder on the armored chest. I have no idea what to do about getting her a new armored chest. Just am thankful she came with another chest that can actually articulate better... anyway, anyone have any advice on how to fix the shoulder of the armored chest piece?
@@aang41992 Sorry to hear that. It’s very frustrating. Unfortunately, I don’t think it can be fixed. If you are the original owner/purchaser, you can ask Good Smile’s customer service for a replacement. They did eventually send me a replacement elbow joint for my Darkness.
Your reviews are always awesome because you are so unbiased, it gives me a great view of what the figures actually like, and you go into great detail! Thanks for making these reviews!
I wanted to like this figure more than I did, but she's seriously lacking in the facial expressions department. Her default smile is fine, and even though the other 2 are fine individually by themselves, they're WAY too similar to each other, meaning that she practically only comes with 2. Not only that, but she doesn't have an angry face! I know she enjoys herself in the battlefield a little too much, but even she frowns a bit every once in a while! Also, the dress's limited articulation is expected, but also unfortunate.
Hah, yeah, that painting is sometimes not that good... but I like her, but maybe she have big + cos it's Darkness xD buuuuutttt yeah, you're right, with ball joints are often problems and that connection on hand, that is made in some angle... hah, nice review ^^
