Same, UI has been changed since this video was published. How do we accomplish this now? Only workaround I found is to make a color style, that you can then reuse.
I cannot see any Team colors or Personal colors option in the dropdown menu. Also, there is no "+" option to add colors. Although, since there are only Document colors now, the colors are automatically added to the group if they are being used in any of the frames on the screen.
Thanks for this very useful. I just installed Figma but the interface looks different to this one in the video. Why don't I get the colour wheel when I want to change the colour? My swatches are round and here are square.
Hi Vignesh, that's correct. To save Colors, you should try saving them as Color Styles. You can also publish your Styles to your Team's Team Library to use them across other files.
Hi Art in Imagination, Figma doesn't currently have the ability to use the color picker outside of the application window or browser tab. Some strategies for picking colors from external sources is to use the "Digital Color Meter" that comes pre-installed on mac computers, inspect an element in a webpage using your browser's developer tools, or picking colors from a screenshot of what you want to copy.
Hey Mark, the easiest way is to create a new file containing your Styles for each palette you'd like to create. For example, create a File named "Personal Colors" and add Styles for each of the colors you want in that "palette", then publish the Styles to your Team Library. You can create any number of Libraries this way to manage them. Check out these articles on our Help Center: help.figma.com/properties-panel/styles and help.figma.com/editor/team-library
