Great work on this. Vegas I am sorry you deserve better and so does Oakland. Give Vegas a team and build it right as an expansion. This way you get your team, and build something right.
To counter your point of Bally's having a bunch of rooms facing the back of the stadium, would be to point out that Bally's is allowing the A's to build on the South Eastern corner of the lot. The renderings make it appear as if the stadium is on the North Western corner. So if the renderings were to include the new hotel/casino. The A's stadium would actually be facing the back of the new hotel which would get the view in the renderings. This also becomes a bit unrealistic because then that big window would be exposed to sunsets which is another big issue that shows how rushed those renderings were.
Thanks you for using New Japan references lmao. Also, what the hell have hotels not facing the damn park? I know people that go to Baltimore for that reason!
I really like how Minneapolis has a mass transit that runs right through the middle of the city straight into Target Field. I took it to a Twins game years ago. And it was a pleasant experience.
Most people come to gamble and do fun shit outside not sit and watch some out of towners team relocated here to play an expensive to watch baseball game in relatively cooled comfort under a dome. After it is built I would say only 1/2 filled seats at any game, and that would be at the start (when it's cooler ) in the season. Will have to be a multi-use place in the off season to work financially or it will be a fools errand. Big enough to hold conventions, sporting events like pro-tennis, boxing matches, Olympic like events, etc. It's a gamble that hopefully will pay off in the long run after all it's Vegas!
Best thing Fisher can do is sell to Warriors owner Joe Lacob! He doesn’t know what he’s doing! This design would be great if the weather problem was rain not heat and more acres
The more arguments you make about this stadium, the more it becomes a monument to avarice and hubris. I mean, it’s gonna be a terrible game day experience and an expensive one. The damage Fisher has done to this team will either require a decade of good drafting or deep pockets to fix. Until then, who’s gonna drop a boatload of a money to see the A’s play a meaningless game in July?
The Diamondbacks and the Rangers made it to the World Series last year after losing 100 games three seasons ago... Implying you can turn a cellar dweller into a championship team in three years, not ten...
@@ronclark9724 but the Diamondbacks have a plan to compete. Every five or six years they field a fairly competitive team. The difference is the Athletics are trying to be flipped and Fisher just doesn’t have enough liquid assets. Plus the Rangers actually spent some money last season and even made a move at the trade deadline. When your losing has a goal, then you can quickly turnaround the system. Fisher had no goal other than alienate the fans by making tickets more expensive as well as raise parking prices in addition to his planned tanking. But we shall see what happens with the Diamondbacks, considering they are threatening a move if they don’t get a cheap parcel of land near Scottsdale so they can build a sports village. So we shall see how that plays out.
These misleading renderings (pt 2) are intended to entice investors into helping finance the stadium because Fisher doesn't have the financing at this time & make no Mistake about it there WILL be cost overruns and the kind of compromises that would make folks cringe after the fact so before the regret of losing an expansion opportunity sets in to the John Fisher traveling circus 🤡 I hope folks smarten up before it's too late & tax payers are taking a loss on that $380 mil & you cannot even voice your opinion because they are ignoring any and all feedback that doesn't serve them.
The latest word is the project is “too big to fail” so they can put up misleading, incomplete renderings without repercussion from Manfred. This is unreal. He’s like the school kid that never gets in trouble because his parents know the principal..
I see the Athletics future as a brand to represent all of Northern California. They even have green color in logo !!! A Vegas move would be a disaster plain and simple. There is much more money and way more baseball fans in Northern California 👈
Your point is a bit flawed. For starters they could just as easily, build down into the ground. Drop Field Level to five stories or so below grade(This would actually help keep the Stadium cooler) and in keeping with the Vegas theme, do what the Blue Jays did, and build Hotel rooms in the outfield(with balconies). But go for a Stadium roof as opposed to a dome.
I’m sorry but I can’t take anyone seriously, who sounds like a mix of Pee Wee Herman and Bugs Bunny. I spend the whole time laughing at this cartoon voice. Toons! Toons!
⚾️🤔🏟 I really wish u guys in Alameda and Contra Costa County voted on some public money approval to get "Howard Terminal Field" to be a reality in Oakland...but u guys let anti rich ppl dictate your thoughts now even Dennys and In and Out burger are leaving 😅
