Fik shun stated that he mainly free styles in big performances. The only time he choreograph is during dance classes he teaches for dance students besides that pretty much everything he does is freestyle.
Michael Jackson said thinking is the biggest mistake a dancer could make. You have to feel. If there is a bass you have to become the bass, if there are drums you have to become the drums and this guy embodied perfectly with the beat. One of the most talented guys i've ever seen
It’s amazing to see how far he’s come from his first audition. There isn’t a single Fik-shun performance I haven’t seen that I haven’t enjoyed. Someone who definitely deserves everything they’ve gained.
@@dizzy8175 don’t even get me started. This year is terrible. The entire format plus there was more of a storyline which dragged the show instead of there being more auditions. The only thing still good about this show is them keeping Cat 😒
Fikshun is a true master of freestyle dancing. Before performance day, Fikshun listens to the performance song over and over again until he fully memorizes every beat and rhythm that is present in the song. On performance day, using his ability to move any muscle in his body at will, he synchronizes every beat in the song with his muscle movements. He is music that you see.
My jaw dropped 5 times... he moves like he’s made out of water! I can’t tear my eyes away! He’s not just a great dancer, you can tell that he’s humble and always has a smile on his face.
He's so adorable. He's extremely talented and he is very able to adapt to different styles/genres of dance, which makes him even more amazing. I hope someday I find what I'm good at and succeed at it, just like he did with his talent.
EXACTLY!!!!!! I hate that so much, and it's every talent show like that. I honestly don't give a shit what the judges reactions are, I want to see the performance.
Late to the game, however, this might provide some insight. All of these talent shows are money making companies. They want whatever airs to be considered their "property" (especially since these air live on network TV times). And to protect from infringement, they do cuts like that. SYTYCD also had a traveling show with the top 20+ dancers - so the only way to guarantee 100% access to a performance was to attend (pay for) their shows. Since most of these shows have created youtube accounts, it's even more important that their "property" be protected. Is it ethical to make a dancer sign over their own choreography? I don't know, but these shows think they can. But this is why I prefer to watch the Paul Mitchell World of Dance (not that crap show that JLo does).
Have never stopped watching Fikshun…truly one of a kind. His musicality is amazing he literally can dance to any type of music and incorporate all the little movements. Love him!
For the type of dance he does in the streets and then to do tough jazz routines just speaks volumes to his ability and willingness to learn. He was so deserving. He didn’t just rely on his skill alone. He was open to what the show gave him and he worked hard and delivered. One of my favorite contestants to this day of any show.
I wonder how much he's practiced to get to this level because he makes these moves look so effortless and slick. It's so hard when u actually try them out. he's amazing
He's my favourite dancer ever. His energy is so contagious and he has the best moves I've ever seen. He's not just a freak of nature, but has incredible groove and a lot of humour. His timing and control is impeccable. Could watch him all day long. Think I've seen this video at least 50 times.
@@rossegan7244I came back to watch this for the Nth time and I checked out Poppin John. Yes, he's very good, but nowhere even close to Fikshun. Fikshun is 80% more creative and has way way more moves than Poppin John. PJ basically does the same thing over and over. Fikshun has all these crazy static gravity moves that I haven't seen PJ even attempt. Fikshun is way more exciting and humorous to watch. I've seen tons of Fikshun bits and they're all incredible. PJ got boring real fast, sorry.
This kid's brilliant. Every move he makes isn't only perfect in timing with the music but also they are in accordance with the sounds themeselves which is terrific!
Man! I love the way the judges were reacting to the dance that we didn't get to see. So exciting the looks on their faces! Must have been amazing to be able to see that dance!
I usually don't get impressed by old dance auditions because it always seems like things have gotten so much better than those times but I was veryyyy impressed by this. wowww!
I can't believe that I forgot how great Fik-shun is. He's such a joy to watch and such a wonderful guy. For some reason or another I decided to come back to see his audition....and WOW!
Dear director/producers, is it too much to ask for three little windows on the left side with the judges´ faces for those who enjoy their fucking reactions, so that those who don´tgive a fuck can fucking watch the entire performances? .Thank you.
Fikshun's always been one of my fave dancers on SYTYCD, and this is why. He just has so much musicality that he can translate each beat into something so unexpected and creative that just makes sense every time you watch. So awesome!
One of the best performers and winners of SYTYCD! We had the good fortune to bump into him before one of the SYTYCD live shows and he was just as sweet and friendly as he comes across on the show. 👏👏👏👏
I feel like he sees music in dance form. The weird sounds go perfectly to the moves he does as if he could envision them while listening to a song. So glad he repped my city!
I have a hard time believing he was anything but confident when he has that much skill. Like this is the sort of skill that has me honestly asking "is this the world's best dancer"
+Poreiksion !! hello can you tell me a favor and called the pass or send me an tute how do I do it but I want to refine Half watching a video so my only makes me a little difficult because I would greatly appreciate it and hopefully you can help I'm learning to dance so I am looking to do this through
It doesn't matter how many times I watch him do his thing "DANCE" It still gives me goosebumps :) u are incredible "FIK-SHUN", & " I like the way you move "
I remember watching this on Tv and I was dieing to see the next episode. One after another after another I couldn’t help waking up at 4Am and watching. And I was only 5 when this came on
gosh he IS UNREAL. UNREAL. LIKE IS HE HUMAN?!?!?!? HIS TALENT IS INSANE, IM MIND BLOWN. i watched his audition with my jaw dropped the entire time. holy crap, im in awe.
You Are Amazing young Man and great mentor I love to watch your Gift from A grandmother eyes more success powering to you Absolutely A dancer you Are and kida such a tag team
I there were a 24-hour network with nothing but Fik-Shun dancing on the same stage, I would watch it. I would watch the hell out of it. Because he is just incredible.
Just like Michael Jackson learned the "Slide" from break dancers "Turbo" Chambers and Jeffrey Daniels (the Slide itself was an improvement of a backwards stage exit walk attributed to blues musician Bill Bailey circa 1955)...Michael improving on it and renaming it the "Moonwalk." This young man, Du-Shaunt Stegall, has taken some of Michael's moves and lifted them up to the next level - and has invented some new ones of his own...truly amazing dancer. No "Fik-Shun" needed here...this kid is for real.
He is the first dancer we saw that season and he ended up the winner for the males (and likely as a whole) for the same season. Man is a legend and a beast.
gd i forgot how insane these first few performances of his were. Love the judges, they get so amped when he dances. twitch esp just looks like he's realized someone's finally come on the show that could give him a run for his money as an all star. Fik Shun was fire from the second he started
I must have watched these auditions at least 20 times. I come back every year or so and it's still as good as the very first time. His second audition with Twitch Watching is my favorite though
