Gorgeous! I have saved this video for a long time and just recently found some awesome file folders at Tuesday Morning, so I will (finally!) make some journals . Thanks!
fantastic. I can see myself making a bunch of them for our trips, then adding them to a book cover to keep all together. I'd use the seam binding to attach them like in a midori. luv luv luv.
As always what a great idea...have to make a gift for a friend and not much time...this will work well! Many thanks for all the inspiration and ideas...I appreciate all your talent...please do not stop making videos...learn soooo much. You have a wonderful holiday and keep warm... Leona xoxox
Wow your file folder junk journals are gorgeous. I enjoy scrapbooking and learning from all the talented crafters on RU-vid. I have so many file folders now I have some inspiring ideas. I will give credit to all my favorite mini album and junk journals. I am still learning👍🏻🦋😺
I was gifted a package with 5 of the old time vintage Cavallini file folders and I love them. I had no idea how to make a Junk Journal with them so your video is much help to me! I do want to make a chunky 5 signature (using all of them). Thank you so much for your videos :) Cindy
Stunning journals! I love Cavellini file folders but it never occurred to me to make a journal cover from them. I don't know much about creating or sewing signatures, but I might give it a go. You do such beautiful work and I hope you keep posting videos when you can. Thanks for sharing your talent with all of us.
I have been shredding client information and have a ton of manilla file folders I was going to recycle. After watching your video, I need to put those babies to better use. Thanks for sharing this idea. Noteworthy paper is one of my favorite pads.
Boy, I wish you had done this video before I went to the Cavallini Warehouse sale last week. The folders come 3 in a pack and were 3 packs for $8! I would have bought a bunch if I realized what beautiful journal covers they would have made. Duh! As always, love your work!
Your videos are so helpful thank you so much I'm new to the travelers notebook I'm using my first one I bought on Amazon but I want to start making my own 💝
Love them all! Those file folders are soo pretty! I hope our stores starts selling these kinds of folders soon, we don't have the same as you do, annoying! Lol.
i have the tisdale card stack. i dont know why i keep passing up getting the large 12x12 cuz i absolutely LOVE it! these are very pretty! thanks for sharing
Your journals are so pretty, and they look so easy to make. I was just wondering where you get your file folders they are beautiful. Keep up the great crafting............love your work. Thanks
Gorgeous, and such a variety. I get the idea of how to do except the last one with several signatures. Have you demonstrated this process before? Or can you do a video now? (Please refer me to any past video that might get me going with creating my own journal.)Thank you. I have subscribed. Peace.
These book as are lovely. I am new to crafting and I have a few questions. When you measure book to 6x9 with folded pockets in front and back, how do you cover as sheets are 12x 12 . Yours do not look like there are seems on inside flaps or spine? How do you do the one hole binding with ribbon?
I've read and re-read your first question and I don't understand it so hopefully you can try again? What I can say is that like I said in the first few minutes of the video, the covers are made with file folders. They're not covered over. The binding is one hole in the middle and ribbon is looped in and wrapped around cover and then out again.
these look really great but I'm confused about the covers - did you glue printables to file folders or onto card stock and make it look like a file folder? I really love your work but I'm finding I never quite get exactly what you're using. tfs.. I would like to try this if I could figure out how. Seems very practical for a junk journal and I like the softer cover.
I used a pamphlet stitch to sew the signatures to a piece of chipboard and then glued that to the black piece which then was glued on front and back. This is a pamphlet stitch tutorial: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9RFB0wUR7u0.html
Hi.....I love all the junk journals you made. They're all really very nice. You know I love all your paper and anything you put your hands on. I appreciate your videos. Do you do holiday journals? Would be nice. TFS :-)
Beautiful albums! Question though: Do you think I could recreate this for a retirement gift? I could add lots of tags for people to sign and write their memories. Not sure of what embellies would be appropriate? Or just simple is ok? Thanks for sharing and for any input you could send my way! 😊. Abi
+scrapperabi13 Hi Abi, I think that sounds really nice! Maybe just some sentiments stamps or of a theme that this person likes (i.e. gardening), if you have that. Tuck spots to put the tags in... simple is nice because he/she can add their own thoughts or photos too. I say go for it!
In these single signature books I think I had about 15 pages folded to make 30 (it was a while ago lol). This number does depend on how thick the paper is and what your preference is as well. Thank you!
Hi there! 😊I finally made one of these or similar with a "retirement" theme and would like to share but not sure where. Do you have a Facebook page and if so what is the name or link? Thanks! Abi
