Very true.. work hard.. I'm in Alaska working 6 weeks straight 12 hour days 7 days a week.. temperatures here are between negative 20 and negative 60 degrees, so so cold but I'm doing it so that I can come to the Philippines and spend 4 months there... thanks for the videos to keep me motivated.. 10 days left then hello Philippines 😁😊❤ woohoo.

Batanes is like a New Zealand of the Philippines with lush green mountains,hills and cystal clear waters with lot of corals.and the houses are epic.

Fascinating life in the mountains...you just don't know what you'll encounter and in your case always intriguing!!!

You should have tried to dig in the corner of that beach with rocks. That area has a natural spring, just a few inches dig from the salt water will reveal a delicious mineral spring water where some locals get their water to drink. Im from sabtang❤️

Even among filipinos Batanes is under the radar. Long time ago my impression of Batanes is a sparsely inhabited island located in the far northern boundary of the country until you foreign vloggers open up its beauty for us.

The attitude of that Filipina lady you met in the mountains in Batanes is quite common here in the Phlippines. Me, I will be 70 in April, is also working after retirement. Most of us Filipino mothers, enjoy running our families and if our spouses, are remiss of their duties in providing for our brood, we women will take the cudgels... In the past, women don't leave their good-for-nothing spouses for the sake of the children. It has changed a bit, but not much. We are some sort of a matriarchal society. Women take leadership duties; we have more freedom here. So more women are engaged in business to complement their partners; and they are so good in that. So don't be surprised with that lady. She just exudes the true Filipina!

Lesson learned: 1. Success in life is not created in just 1 click.

It can get emotional how hard done by a 68 years old woman, who has to earn a living in not the most easiest way. The harsh reality of life which a lot of Filipinos are facing in their every day lives. Thanks for this new adventure in Sabtang, Batanes Is. The people in this place are tougher and more-connected to nature than those in mainland, Philippines. Their hospitality and generosity is undiminished.

Being a 57yo widower in an already empty nest, I have a lot to thank you guys for making my lonely days interesting through your vlogs. This one is extra special - I already have a an international travel list but this made me put Sabtang Island on top of everything. I do have a lot of time on my hand, am basically an introvert, and this place is perfect. Thank you for the wonderful tips. Be safe!!!
