I'm Italian and I have a Filipina girlfriend and I swear it's the best relationship I've ever had! She respects me like no other girl did before her, she's funny and we always laugh, she makes me smile often and it's so easy to be myself around her. We have lived together since March of last year and it has been the best year of my life (I'm not exaggerating). We never had a big fight and every time there's a problem we solve it by talking face to face in a polite way like adults should do (and I swear she's the first person I've been with that can act in this mature way, and I had plenty of experiences before). I don't know if you have traveled to the Philippines previously, but Siargao is a beautiful island with a unique culture of its own. It's referred to as the surfing capital of Southeast Asia. They were hit very hard by Typhoon Odette back on December 16, 2021, but they are recovering well. My family in Surigao City (northern most part of Mindanao) was also hit hard by the typhoon. There are ferries that go to Siargao. I tell you this because Surigao City is a 'mainland' port into Siargao. If you love surfing, it's a great place. Wonderful people there. You'll meet more foreigners there because many travel there for surfing. If your health is good, it could be a great option for you. If you need medical care for health conditions, you would want to be closer to a good hospital... primarily Manila and Cebu for the best medical care. If your health is good, then it could be a great opportunity for you. So much beauty in the Philippines.... beautiful, traditional ladies ( especially in the province), beautiful beaches. A whole lot less stress. Bring a suitcase of patience because things roll differently there. Time is just a suggestion . 🙂 if you're single... take it SLOW. You can be overwhelmed by all the beautiful ladies. It's a culture heavily influenced by the USA, yet so different in many other ways.

They married anyway and stayed together for 57 years until his passing at the age of 93. If either had listened to their naysayers my beautiful beloved family would not exist. This is an extremely touching video. My wife and I met, and she never desired to come to the US. Truthfully, we both want to live in the Philippines together - but immigration/isn't that simple, and providing for a family is (at least initially) much easier living outside the Philippines. Not to mention the ability to travel freely together as US citizens. The people of the Philippines are some of the most wonderful people anyone can ever meet. And Filipino women, show tremendous respect, not just for their husbands, but for their families and friends. That's worth everything - and everything any man could ever hope for. My wife came to America, and she was surprised at how much we have to work to pay for the basics. We are building a house in the Philippines and will retire there one day.

The first few minutes of this video brought a tear to my eye. My latina wife is exactly like that in her reasoning and behavior. Just me being alive and with her is good enough a reason to be completely in love with me, nothing else needed. And I cannot describe how much I need that from her, being a shy, introvert, hurt European man. Respect to every person who is brave enough to find happiness in their life. I am divorced from an American woman, and have been in two other relationships with US women. So glad to finally have my filipina partner, this is the only time out of all these women that I have actually been happy. As far as I am concerned US women can go pound salt .. hahahaha. Beautifully done Leah. Our choices in life help determine our happiness. I can tell from watching your video's that your choices have worked out well for you because you are you are always laughing and smiling. Western people of which I am one have been sold the idea that materialistic things will bring them happiness. Some of us have wised up and we now are seeking relationships and community for this happiness. I have found that the Philippines especially in the provinces still value this.
I hoped for this over 2 marriages. It's what my family has always been since immigrating to America. I'm the first generation to divorce... twice even. It's a deep disappointment to me. My daughter is the first from a broken home. I feel like I've let my ancestors down. I just wanted a peaceful family life... she just wanted plastic surgery, million dollar houses, travel... it was never enough. No peace... no contentment... ungrateful... no real marriage or family. I couldn't do it anymore.
I just started dating a hmong woman, and she has made me feel so wonderful I don't even know how to deal with it. But I tell you what this woman is spot on!!
After I got divorced and retired from the Army in 2019, I strongly considered just moving to the Philippines with my retirement. But, I couldn't abandon my kids who had already been struggling with me having to be away from them for months at a time. So, I stayed in the US, but it worked out. I eventually married a lawyer who was also fed up with the self absorbed entitlement going around the US. Now we are considering moving to the Philippines together after the kids are adults.
This video went from fierce to heart warming. I also realized over time that she was showing all the qualities of a great woman not just stating that she's better. Well done.
Living around locals in places like Vietnam, Colombia, Costa Rica, and others has been a true joy and soooo very educational. We don't realize how much we have in some countries and just how much we can go without. On San Andres the knowledge the locals have about natural living is just amazing. Catch a cold, there is a leaf for that they will make a tea with. Upset stomach, chew this herb. I came to really admire their daily routines and the simplicity of living a life closer to nature. Living with no debt. Of course life isn't this perfect picture some people think we are saying it is when we say that. It's just such a shock to the system we have grown up in that it makes us, well ME question am I on the right path? I've more than a few course corrections as a result of my exposure to other cultures and am happier for it. Good video here, and people making those passport bro videos really need to just live and let live.

I love how you handled this situation, and as man who has been through divorce & toxic relationships, I say that what you & other Asian women offer is what I & many other men are looking for in a woman, a traditional women. A woman who has faith, dedicated to her husband & family. I would fully support, protect, build with, be understanding, caring, loving & be respectful to my wife. A lot of these types of women want a good man but don't know how to treat & keep a good man. When they do get 1, they don't know how to act & often say the man is too nice, & weak & so comes a lack of respect. When we go outside the country and find a woman such as yourself, it's a sigh of relief to be appreciated, cared for, someone who respects you.
