Welcome to this week's FEATURE FRIDAY ✌
This week we take a look at FILIPINO ACOUSTIC artists and songs! Starting with MYMP and Juris "SPECIALLY FOR YOU", then NINA " SOMEDAY" on a live setting and it was so sweet to watch. Regine Velasquez made us realize what our favorite song is from her " TILL I MET YOU". Ben&Ben showed us what real magic sounds like with "Kathang-Isip", we then watched Kitchie Nadal and their live performance of " SAME GROUND". Jimmy Bondoc blew my socks off and made me super inspired with his track " LET ME BE THE ONE" and to finish with the biggest banger of the week, James Reid and his live performance of "SODA" took us to a whole new planet!!!!! FREAKING FIREEEEEEE ✨

James is underrated as a singer here, but very famous for being an actor. In his teens, he won Pinoy Big Brother (not sure if you know but it's a reality show) he became even more famous after being in a loveteam with Nadine Lustre (they also dated in real life). Now he has established his own music label which supports and signs indie artists as well. He has more songs--check him out in Spotify

James is such an underrated artist. I wishpeople won't sleep on him. He produces and writes his own songs, he's such a talented and down to earth guy. I witnessed him sing live and I swear his vocals is 10000x magical.

For me he should also be recognized as a young musical genius a very underated artist indeed in terms of his music career but if locals could only pay attention to his music catalogue its full of good music and his music videos are top notch as well. Im not a fan of his loveteam/acting but i can say that im a fan bec of his music😊

trivia: nina used to be the lead vocals for mymp (make your momma proud), before she went solo. juris replaced her (the girl who sang "especially for you") - "till i met you" is a cover version of regine. the original is by kuh ledesma. kyla also recorded this for the theme song of the series of the same title, starring james reid. - kathang-isip (imagination) is pronounced as "cat-hang e-sip" - kitchie nadal was lead vocalist of mojofly before going solo - jimmy bondoc was nina's ex-bf - james reid is an a-lister, he is more known for being an actor and an endorser.

James Reid started in a TV reality show - Pinoy Big Brother as a housemate. He won and became the Teen Big Winner at that time way back in 2010. After there, he then started being a singer but was most recognized as an actor together with his ex-girlfriend Nadine. He even became a judge at Idol Philippines together with Regine Velasquez and Moira. Amazing set of vids in this podcast! More power to your channel.

The moment Regine steps on that stage, you know that she would blow the others out of the water. Be it belting or soft singing. And her commanding presence is so eminent. You know that there’s a star in front of you. Regine really deserves more recognition outside the Philippines. I know she made that decision to stay in the Philippines, but someone from the West should invite her to perform on a mainstream stage while she still can sing.

Original Filipino Music is just so 🥰 one of the main reason im proud of being a Filipino. I grew to all this great artists and singers. All this songs are iconic and are remembered even up to this day. Been a part of the Filipino culture.
