Wrong! ,,, there are female guards for female-entrance "always".
@gramo63
@gramo63 3 месяца назад
Mall entrances have SEPARATE entry lines for MALES and FEMALES -- because FEMALES need to have their HANDBAGS inspected and are therefore SLOWER than MALE entry lines. However, a MALE who carries a shopping bag will also experience a similar delay.

I think its more on comfortability of women, if another female guard is checking their bag it would be less embrassing to show their private belongings.

Clothes dryers are rare in the Philippines, but clothes washers are available in just about any appliance store. I bought my family's first washing machine with a swirl dryer in 1989, which was Japanese made; in 1989 I purchased a fully automatic (washer with concentric swirl dryer) of the Whirlpool brand. A Whirlpool service center in Quezon City (which was just 15 minutes' drive from my home) simultaneously with its introduction to the market. Japanese & Korean made appliances have long been available in the Philippines.

This woman generalized filipinos character and habits. You must know the Philippines is an archipelago. Every provinces has difference even in dialects. If you want to know the real goodness of filipinos, you have to go to far flung Philippine area. Nowadays, everything changed due to modern technologies.

Clothes dryers are rare because we can generally dry on clotheslines instead of racking up higher electric bills just to dry our clothes. Also, we tend to shower more often, change clothes more often and have clothes for the home and for going out. The material we use for our clothes is also often thin and that can be dried easily.
@JanuWaray

Clothes dryer are used in laundry shops. In ordinary households, the dryer is mostly used during the rainy season.

Right on point! The Filipina Pea is very informative on many different subjects that the common foreigner needs to know. She is often funny and at other times serious, but always well researched and informed. Her videos are geared to pass that information to we, foreigners that we don't "screw up." She shows respect for all cultures and most age levels, while still telling things like they are. Also, she is not an armchair RU-vidr, but sometimes she gets out there to show some of the sights as well. I enjoy her channel and have learned a lot from her.

They separate the females from the males during bag inspections so that IF there are feminine items that will show in the open bags, the females won't feel embarrassed by the next female person in line seeing what those items are. They might feel embarrassed if a male happened to see what's in the lady's purse or bag.

As this culture is "overrated"? I agree to the other commenter who said it depends on which part are you at? This is actually same to other countries like The Eastern side of the US to the Western Part they have different approach as well and comes with different accents too. I think that comes with it. Just like India from the remote India to the Capital. China is not different, South Korea is also not different too. So I think it is depends which part you are at. Just basing from experience I must say.

Hugging and kissing the checks or what we called "beso beso".. might be a talk about of a certain area..let's say some barrio or remote brgy that are not yet really civilized or have not yet really adopted the meaning of those actions which is a part of greetings in other country..meaning,they are still holding on the very conservative attitude.. which our elders taught us. but not all anymore.. because a lot of Filipino nowadays have gone to other countries and adopted their ways so we Filipinos ,I believe are now open to understand more or what is a casual greeting actions versus malicious actions.. but of course, not all are really on it so still be cautious and learn to read between the lines about Filipino attitudes and personality

Please don't! Take everything she says with a grain of salt. Filipino culture is so diversed and it's inappropriate to generalize Filipinos based on her culture and upbringing without researching the facts and the culture of other Filipinos outside of their province. Take for example, most Ilokanos are known to be thrifty; most Bisayas are straightforward; Ilonggos are very gentle speakers; Kapampangans are good cook; and so many more Nelly.

It was extremely difficult to understand what the other lady was saying due to you speaking over her interrupting

The problem in the city why the door is literally beside the road is because of the road widening and lack of city planning before structures are built

That could be the case in their place. In our city, there are still sidewalks after the riad widening. If it really affected the most part of the homwowners space, they are relocated in another area.

She's right about how hard it is to find a perosn who.knows how to fix branded things.. We had our Whirlpool washer fixed by someone.. Let's just say we had it scrapped for few pesos after that 🙄

@@charlottejennifferdomingo4279 It's not true from where I live. There are several service centers here. My LG automatic washing machine was broken and I just called LG and they went to my house.

The saddest part of her presentation is that she wants to show the Philippines as a weird country by selecting her narratives. She us weirdo

Criyicslly true in sl.ost her observations but not necessarily very true to sll in some... like the separate doors, we font have seoarate doors for femsle and male but separate line or entrance with the same door... not like in India shere there are really places that women cudyoners or men eith eomen compsnions are expected to enter in a separate door or a small cosy door with curtains even, its the culture which is different at the sane time interesting which i myself expetienced it.... And about the houses built on the boundaries of the streets especially in the city, it is because out of necessity to maximize your area, which is normally small, i bet majority of the filipinos love an outdoor space in front or even at the side or back of the house.. It is definitely a luxury in urban areas...

i think the explanation for separate entrance for males and females needs to be improved and to removed unnecessary term - i.e genitalia and also i don't guide my companions excessively for whatever on the streets - not unless they are going to be hit by a truck ! but i agree abound the kissing on both cheeks that's not on / that's invading personal space and a wrong presumptuous that we want to be kissed on our cheeks - most don't want it! but probably most actors actresses would not mind

Where this filipina living and she's lack of knowledge not all mall or department store check women and men separately. What she was talking depends on places. I feel like she just wanted to get foreign people's attention for views and subscribers
