God bless this young man of African descent who obtained his Masters Degree in Music. Negative commentators, what you have? A degree in hair? Shame on you. Some folks have to make negative comments to hide their own shortcomings. I always say there were 3 crosses on Calvary. Please check if you knelt in front of the one in the middle. This presentation is not about what the guy looks like, its about your soul which is empty. Those negative commentators clearly your cup has run out of love and compassion. You need a refill. I still know a fountain that is filled with blood drawn from Emmanuel's veins. take a dive and be healed from your hatred for self and others.
At least he is appreciating his natural hair given to him by God and not shaving it. What is it with people and hypocrisy? I'm Adventist and I repeat nothing is wrong with this young man's hair. Thank God he is in the church and ministering in music.
Yasssssss, sang children, yes sing unto the Lord our God to fill our cups. He is our strength, our deliverer, our Saviour and Lord, blessed be the Name of the Lord.
I have listened to THIS song over and over and over again these last few days. I praise God for it. Simply beautiful. No other way to describe it. Fill MY cup Lord!!! Happy Sabbath!!!!
This song always blesses me and brings tears to my eyes. I know the rendition is more than 8 years old, but may God continue to bless the Aeolians in whatever each one is doing now. So sorry to read Rodney, the pianist, passed away😢
The young man singing in this video is a vessel being used by God and is earnest in his delivery of a very potent message in song. Praise God that he has a mind to do the will of the Master and is walking in the calling placed upon his life. Justin continue to walk BOLDLY before God and man!!!!!
To all who have made comments on the young man's hair, please see the date this video was posted. He has cut his hair and moved on to do his masters in music. These comments were not showed to him and did not caused him to cut his hair. I thank my Lord for being a loving God who don't see us where we are, but what we will become later in His name.Sanctification. Peace and Love. Pray for one another.
Apparently you do not know the Jesus of the Bible. Otherwise you would have known that Jesus did not disown Peter when he denied Him. God is a God of second chances, and more...God Bless!
As in the words of the Trumpster, "Fake Christians!" Who cares what his hair looks like. Do you really think that Jehovah, God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, father of Jesus Christ, is looking at peoples hair? Ugh...get real!
I agree with you on this point #murahomesa ! But I can understand what our Older may think, some of them are right on one point, but I think & I Know The More, Jesus-Christ is on a person, the more he will look like him, He had nappy, now, he don't have, thanks God for this change, it's step by step we will going to perfection at the image of Christ ! I'm not here to pointing my finger on anyone, I keep my eyes fixed on Jesus-Christ and my human, seener's condition first ! But at the end of the Day, we have to face our one choice, what's more important, our lifestyle, the way we judge others and not self analyzed ourselves ! May God Bless You ! May GOD help us to take the Leap of Faith, we stand in the last times !! Let's stay anchored on CHRIST alone ! I Want to be Part of The Glorious Second coming of CHRIST & want to sing with you in Heaven
For anyone struggling to hear what they are saying. They are saying Quench my thirst Lord Fill my cup Lord Fill me up with more of thee Bread of Heaven feed me till I want no more Till my blinded eyes can see
Could Listen to our Young People all Day To the Fielder Family of Pine Forge. The Children of the Pioneers have become the Pioneers themselves. Bless you Elder Ferdinand. Excelsior
Praise God for these young people who are unashamedly giving glory to God. Look at the spirit behind the law. This young man could be praising someone else. if you have concerns for him pray for him.
(1)Like the woman at the well, I was seeking For things that could not satisfy. And then I heard my Savior speaking- “Draw from My well that never shall run dry.” ( 2) Fill my cup, Lord; I lift it up Lord; Come and quench this thirsting of my soul. Bread of Heaven, feed me till I want no more. Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole. 2 There are millions in this world who are seeking For pleasures earthly goods afford. But none can match the wondrous treasure That I find in Jesus Christ my Lord. 3 So my brother if the things that this world gives you Leave hungers that won’t pass away, My blessed Lord will come and save you If you kneel to Him and humbly pray-
As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for Thee, O God, my soul thirsts for God, for the living God; when shall I come and appear before God? Psalm 42:1-2
These young people warm my heart so much, singing hymns I grew up hearing, and they do such a marvelous job...anyone concerned about one's hair etc, not seeing with their hearts...their hearts are beautiful to me who really notice...love it! Keep singing, keep praising him with song...hymns are not lost..love it and love these young voices. Worship him young people!
Thank God for the young people that chose to sing for the Lord! Hopefully, all of us are trying to get it right before he comes. Please continue to give praise to his name.
Rest well Rodney... I'm soooo thankful that God gave me 38yrs with you! You were sooo humble with the gift God gave you, sooo that you can bless other's. No one will ever come close to what God blessed you with...I miss you more than you know! Love ya baby brother
Just came across this playlist about 2mos ago, and have been in awe of this pianist, listening to the music meditating on it's words & spirit, so much so, that I'm only just getting around to reviewing the comments. While I never had the privilege of meeting your Brother, please know how wonderful it is to know of him thru your comment. We all have been blessed by him (humbly) sharing his gift. I pray you receive the comfort of the Holy Spirit. God bless you!

I genuinely enjoyed listening to Oakwood sing last semester at AC/DC ...the comments about the young mans hair are ridiculous and exactly the reason why I left the institutional church...so sad there's still backward thinking going in this day and age... anyways Sang Choir!!! Love y'all!!!
Thank God for our young people let us continue to pray for them its not easy for them in these last, they need our prayer and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Wow that was beautiful! I'm sorry that people are not rejoicing in the simple fact that you are giving praises to God! None of us are perfect! None of us are without flaw! NONE of us follow that Word 100% Please spare me, acting like you got this walk right with God! Lord forgive us all for not examininig the wrongs in our own lives, and pointing fingers at others. So what you don't like his hair. God will be examining his heart as well as yours! Again, beautiful job, beautiful song, touched my heart!!! God Bless you and the work that you will continue to do in the future. First Lady K!
Dear Renee, I have listened to this heavenly music of meditation many times...and I am always astonished to see your comment as the first comment here. I can only surmise that you were so busy looking with your eyes...that you did not listen with your heart...”Fill me up with more of thee...Feed me till I want no more..TILL MY BLINDED EYES CAN SEE...: I pray that you listen again...and that your “spiritual eyes” are opened...and your soul is blessed...then...I pray further that you remove these judgmental, hurtful words...that distract from the intent of the song for the many that come here...to be filled! Praise God for this music of worship, and praise...and may you learn that our hairstyles are not our focus...as many may have dreads...as that is what our hair has been for thousands of years. For all you know...Christs “wooly hair”...may have been dreads.... Blessings on you!
Amen...Marcheta Parker Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. John 7:24 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God. 1 Corinthians 11:14, 16 KJV But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering 1 Corinthians 11:5-6, 15 KJV
I'm an OU (OC) alum. Songs like this really remind me of my childhood growing up around good Oakwood music and then singing in the Aeolians when I got to college. Thanks for sharing. What's the name of the song? Is it an original arrangement?
People should really SHUT UP. Here is a young man who is singing to the glory of God and there is a comment on his hair. Really? Check yourself. If the only thing that you could focus on was hair out of this beautiful rendition, then the problem my sisters and brothers lies with you and not with the one giving glory to GOD
Literally laughing at people focused on hair instead of the words being sung. Literally the song is preaching about the opposite of what your focusing on.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽praying.
