Close, close, closer... "Shoot both and pick the better image later" Another thing I never do is delete images from the camera unless it's obviously a bad image or I need the card space. Sometimes I find my images are better than expected when later viewed on a monitor vs the smaller camera LCD screen.

I've always tried to fill the frame. However, doing so with a crop sensor ends up costing me part of my image when I print an image as I always forget to allow room for standard print cropping. It will work with an 8x12, but I lose major composition parts going to an 8x10. Old habits are hard to forget. Maybe I should just upgrade to a full frame body.
