Serge Bon Jour. Mercy. Congratulations, because of you are the first person to comment in my channel. Your innciative shall be granted. If you want I could create a video, with the structural topic you want to watch. What do you think? Salute.
Sergio - just one small point regarding the welding symbols you have shown on your drawing - they should show a4 and a8 - since you are defining these welds by throat thickness (as opposed to leg length) - as you explained in your presentation. I am referring to EN22553 - section 6.2.3 for welding symbols. If they had been leg lengths - then they would have to be z4 and z8. They have changed the "symbols" over the years - just to confuse everyone.☺
Gordon thanks for the comment. I think it is very pertinent. To be honest it is not accurate to explain welding design in accordance with European codes meanwhile using AWS Symbology for representation. My apologizes but AWS is the only one symbology that I really handle.
It is a very good question. Ec3 only requires not to weld flanges to avoid flanges restriction. I will upload some post through LinkedIn regarding the topic. Thanks for your question.
Dear Friend Wong. the equation is correct...I guess you refer that there are two fillet welds, Am I rigth?? Please move to minute 15:00 to identify that "2" you are missing. Nevertheless, thanks for your comment... And please share with your colleagues¡¡¡¡¡
