I have a compressor that is off a needleless cow vaccination set up.. I assume it’s exactly what it sounds like.. cuz the pump will get to 4000 psi.. I guess it just blast meds into the cow at such psi it doesn’t need a needle?? Idk. But I know it works for this. Find a farmer.. they might have an old one.

@@TheCannasseur That's wild, I've never heard of a needle less cow vaccination compressessor. The pressure checks out, the only other 2 factors to concern are the cfm of the compressor, and if it's filtered, or can accept filters to purify the compressed air. Otherwise, most generic compressors without a deasicator attachment will allow traces of oils and greases into your breathing gas, which can be problematic. Other than that, certainly is a creative approach to filling scba tanks. I'll have to look into it, thanks for the suggestion!

How many pumps to get from 4000 psi to 4500 psi would you say I have a scuba shop that said when they fill the tank they get it to 4500 but when the tank cools down to room temperature it looses 500 psi which sucks he said to leave it over night and he would fill it back up to 4500 the next day making sure I get a full fill

My guy, thank you for the vid but without at least some sort of demonstration while camera is pointing at PSI gauge I cannot tell for sure if this is legitimate. I would not do this in real life but it would be good knowledge to have anyway. I just wish I knew for sure rather this was workable.
@CBR_collectibles

Thats fair, however that would be incredibly impractical for me to do, unless of corse I had it on time lapse. There is nothing fake about it....it just comes down to basic physics. The pump is rated for over 6000 psi, and as long as your tank is under the max psi, it will fill it, "eventually". They sell these pumps along with miniature scuba bottles as a whole package deal, so yes they are technically made for high pressure breathing air, just not the kind of cubic volume that an scba or scuba tank has. So yes it may take hours to fill a scuba or scba tank, but the point of this is showing that you don't need to buy a $3000 compressor just to fill your scba tank to the desired psi. Alot of companies have tried gatekeepintg the market of hpa compressors, so this More so promotes the message that anyone anywhere can fill their scba tank.

Can u list the products u used to fill your tank up? The pump and the adapter?
@CBR_collectibles
@CBR_collectibles 3 года назад
Sure, yeah the most important part in that fill Station is mostly the cga-347 to 1/8" male foster valve. Which the 1/8" male foster allows you to connect that up to a standard hand pump. As for the pump, this is just one of the readily available offbrand Chinese pumps you'll commonly see on eBay, however I don't recommend these, as I'd save the money and invest in a hill pump or something of high quality. Otherwise you'll sacrifice seals, and time trying to rebuild the pump. Hope this is helpful

I paid $243 shipped and it works just fine. Change the oil when it starts to darken in color is the only thing I’ve done to it. Pumping a tank full by hand is nuts. Takes about 120 strokes to take a Marauder from 2 to 3000 psi. A tank x 40. No way.

Ebay. I'm sure alot of people will give me shit for saying that, but some are within hydrotest dates, and are able to be filled the legitimate way, although, you're more than welcome to do what I've done, and chance using the $20 scba tanks you can snag on ebay. I've used both hydro tanks, and expired tanks, but it depends on how you are with taking risks i suppose.
@CBR_collectibles
@CBR_collectibles 3 года назад
@@ghijkl I mean, that's nice and all, and I'm not making the claim that expired tanks are safer than certifed tanks, however, the pump inherently is safer than using a compressor or something rapidly expanding the tank. My tank is actually certified, and that's why back in my early videos, you can see I'm using this tank, and long before I acquired this adapter. I'm not advising or discouraging the pump, but merely pointing out that it Is a functional means of filling, asides from the traditional methods.
@SpYucaipaSoCal
@SpYucaipaSoCal 3 года назад
Its takes 30 minutes plus to fill a 30 minute 4500 scott tank with a blue electric Ebay compressor there’s nothing fast about it. These tanks are tested at 7500 psi when filled. Less than 1 % of tanks fail visual inspection far less fail the pressure test. If your really worried about it wrap a strong material heavy fabric ect and wrap it with a couple layers of duct tape. It makes a nice cover for your tank.
@CBR_collectibles
@CBR_collectibles 3 года назад
@@SpYucaipaSoCal Well and that’s why I only said the hand pump is “safer” than the compressor. Compressors as it is, involve little risk, it’s just the pump offers even less risk, since it’s a much slower and easier means of filling a tank. But with that being said, it’s debatable that in a lifetime of filling a tank, the differences in safety between a pump or a compressor is likely not even noticeable. I’ve filled my tanks both through a compressor and a hand pump, so I’m not going to bias in any direction, I only mention that the hand pump is safer, and that it does have advantages, because it’s an amazing proof of concept that a small hand pump can do what people said only compressors could do.

I'm sure a firehouse or a certified professional would not approve of this method of filling, so I do say "do this at your own discretion" for somewhat obvious reasons. Tons of paintballers and recreational airgunners use these and other chinese electric compressors to fill uncertified tanks, so what I'm doing is still of the lesser evil than the majority of what others are doing with Chinese electric compressors.

I have the hand pump, but what do I use to connect the specialized hand pump to my yoke scuba tank valve?
@CBR_collectibles
@CBR_collectibles 3 года назад
You either need a pressure rated adapter or you need to make one. I you could get a yoke adapter with 1/4" threads, which you could use to then get a hydraulic 1/4" to 1/8" female, and install a 1/8" HPA valve (what your pump quick disconnect fitting connects to)

@@mythicalpg3d444 Alright and yeah that works as well. My method is most certainly not the easiest method, but it is essentially a proof of concept that anyone anywhere can fill up their tanks, regardless of where they're at or their circumstances. So it's more of a proof of concept than it is efficient. Though if you're ever like me, and you're interested in documenting the affects and original workings of scba/scuba systems that our out of date and cannot be hydrotested, that's where these adapter methods can come into play. Scuba tanks also require much more cubic volume than an scba tank, so for your situation I'd say you're. Making the right deccesion. Though it is fun to be able to be in a remote location, and still be comfortable and confident in being able to fill your tanks

You must be strong to fill up this tank 😳, is ther a video how to connect the filing hoses to the tank and to the quick fill foster fitting's, i bought a new steel 5l tank, but ther is no information how to connect the stuff to the bottle and the fittings, do I need between the foster fitting a pfte washer inline, my quick fitting have a Dowty Washer on, but I connect it to the 1/8 hose fitting and it's loose on the fitting not tight 🤔
@CBR_collectibles
@CBR_collectibles 2 года назад
You don't have to be strong, just alot of time and endurance. And no the concept is not to connect the filling hose directly, but rather to a 1/8" male hpa fitting, which would be apart of an adapter that sizes up to a cga347 fitting. It's really not hard, other than making sure you have the respective adapter, along with a pump that can meet the desired psi.
@CBR_collectibles
@CBR_collectibles 2 года назад
Now what kind of tank do you use? Some of the pcp specific tanks have a 1/8" male connector on them because they're built and purposed from the ground up as pcp air gun tanks. Now if you're using scba tanks like the way I generally do, you only need something that connects from the tank and back down to the respective fitting to the pump. So that's basically just cga347 which most cga347 threaded adapters have a 1/4" male fitting opposite to their cga threads, which you can fit either a T fitting (T fitting would work In the event that you want to add a pressure gage or bleeder valve in place of your middle T) or jusr a straight pass through hydraulic fitting, that facilitates air between your cga and 1/8" fitting

@@CBR_collectibles I have bought a standart 5l pcp steel tank with standart 1/8 fittings and a din fitting on one end.
@CBR_collectibles
@CBR_collectibles 2 года назад
@@WaschyNumber1 Oh you're most likely working with a scuba tank then. So your din fitting, does it have any threads behind the adapter itself? Generally you'll find with pcp fill adapters, there will generally be either male or female threads, where you can thread in a fitting to house your 1/8" hpa fitting. It really just has to be able to connect to your tank and to your pump, so it doesn't require a whole lot. I suggest getting a hydraulic fitting, or something rated up to 6000 psi, and using that to build your pcp adapter, which would therefore allow you to thread your din adapter into the hydraulic fitting, and then the hpa fitting into the opposite end.

It does work, just be mindful, it takes a long time to pump. Larger the cylinder, more pumping that is required. Just make sure to take care of the pump and be gentle with it through the process. If you pump too quickly or don't apply the lubricants, you may face issues, but I've pumped up 2 scba tanks now, one a dual tank and the other being the one in the video, and they work just fine

Many of the PCP rifles take 3,000 to as much as 4100-4200 PSI. You said you only pumped that SCBA to 2000. How long did it take to get it to 2,000? I want to see you take one to 4,000 and see if you still think this is a viable method :-) Don't get me wrong, I've been wanting to go PCP for a while, but the cost of pumps and SCBA's (and refilling them), not to mention the rifles themselves, is what keeps me out of that game. Well over $1,000 for a good rifle, several hundred to over $1,000 for an SCBA tank, then several thousand for your on compressor. For the price of a good PCP rifle, a pump and SCBA I can buy several top notch powder burners. I just can't justify that kind of money for a pellet rifle set up.
@CBR_collectibles
@CBR_collectibles 3 года назад
To get me to 2000, it took a few hours With breaks. It took me a while since I was trying to avoid burning a seal out on my pump, from heat buildup. However I pumped a little too quick, got a bit impatient and burned a seal out after topping off two 2216 psi tanks. The main reason I actually wanted to come forth with this idea is because compressors are really just too unaffordable...especially anything like a Bauer, shoebox, or some high end high air compressor is going to run serious $$$$. Granted it does take a while to fill a tank, the idea behind it was filling one of these at home with convenience, and having a tank, which can hold a pretty high volume of air, and being able to use that for consistent pcp airgunning out at the range. Which my intent was to void all usage of compressors, oil, replacement parts, or filling fees that may have come about from dealing with a compressor, or paying to have an scba tank topped off. This settup didn't cost much, and its basically a Chinese pump, so im sure id have different results if I went with a hill mk4 pump, or something with a better rating and warranty.

@@CBR_collectibles I guess my point is that's an incredible amount of work that might not be worth all the effort. I mean, technically, I can dig a pipeline ditch to the road from my house with a spoon, but...anyway, you get the point. I forget the guys name, but he has a few videos on a Chinese compressor that he's had for a couple years. It's only $229 and goes up to something like 4300 PSI. You just have to add a water/oil separator, which he shows how to build a good one for cheap. He seems to like his and for the money, it can't be beat. I really wanted to get into a PCP rifle, but when I started finding out the costs, not only for a good rifle, but all the supporting equipment needed, I backed off. You really, really have to want to get into air gunning, otherwise that's a huge investment. For the cost of a good PCP rifle, a compressor, filters, an SCBA tank and scope, I can buy several top shelf powder burners.
@CBR_collectibles
@CBR_collectibles 3 года назад
@@edwardlance2379 Oh and I totally get that. It really is alot of money for what it is. Now personally, I still feel like if I had a better pump the results would be different, since my pump did effectively fill 2 large tanks, whereas most required a compressor. I also saw the videos on the sam yeng compressors, or whatever they're called, and those seem decent. I hear on average you can get over a good year to 2 years of life through one, if its well maintained. What put me off is, for one: Chinese, and 2: not knowing how to operate on a foreign unit like that. Its nothing compared to a $4500 Bauer compressor (price wise) but suppose it breaks, it would still bum anyone out to lose that kinda money, so I get what you mean with not wanting to get too in over your head with maintenence costs and everything, and thats why I really wanted to prove that a pump alone could serve the dual purpose of both filling scba tanks and easily filling a gun. Scba tanks can be found pretty cheap if you dont mind buying a used one. And really if you get a nice pump, that would be the cheapest way of getting into pcp. If you dont mind a nice workout, it'll for sure get the job done.
@CBR_collectibles
@CBR_collectibles 3 года назад
@@edwardlance2379 And yeah for the price it adds up to, it begins to get to the point where I feel you could get a legit real gun for the price of an air gun. I mainly wanted to get one since theyre quieter, so I could see myself using that at home without any complaints. But the nice thing about the fill equipment is, it can do many things, including paintball tanks, scba tanks, and airguns, so if there was an option of pump out there that could accommodate all those needs without risking issues with the seals, that would be worth it to me at least. My Chinese pumps seals went out, and the videos of people repairing them looks like absolutle hell, so especially with cheaper pumps, I can see why people are put off by getting options like that. If any option, I would say anything Hill, or anything like that is a nicer option that would last in the long run.

I did my own research.... the most purchased pcp rifle with the least complaints is the Benjamin Maurader. I bought one with a scope and sling for $599 and got a couple extra magazinesat $16.99 each . I then purchased a scba bottle just 1 month out of service date of a 15 yr service life. I was told I could get it inspected for another 15 yrs but that would be very expensive. I paid $59 for a 45min scba tank . You can buy a tank with up to 10 yrs life left for around $300-$400. I bout a small compressor for $229. It came with everything needed except hydrolic oil. I talked with the guy who sold me the bottle and he told mehehas about 30 of 60 bottlesleft for sale and he keeps them fully pressurised until he sells them to make sure they were ok and in usable condition. The only thing left to get is a power strip which I will get in the morning . I bought a hand pump for $99.99 but I am seeking a refund because it had a catastrophic failure. After 3 top offs from 2000 lbs. So is a $1000 worth it ...yes! I get 60 shots from 3k - 2k . I killed a squirrel yesterday with o my 600psi in the gun . The Benjamin Maurader isn't the cheapest but I have always used the Benjamin 927 and to me that is the best brand out there in the game. I hope this helped. As lo g as you have the best most purchased pcp rifle , save ...put on layaway the rest and I guarantee you will not be disappointed!
