If no one ever notices, most of us Island boys are send to the front line,in other words INFANTRY. And sadly that's where the heart of the fight is.I hope our brothers, sisters, mothers and dads know and realize all the pain and scars we brought with us .Although our eyes were spared after the battle yet our brain could not process our surroundings.Often we asked ourselves "where am i?" "Am i really home?"
Bottom line is we are Proud Micronesians who served and represent our nation for the call of duty.So that this nation we call home shall be recognized by the whole world.Regardless how tiny our nation is,we do take part in such devotion for world peace.
So i'm glad that young micronesians now know that joining the military is not some kind a vacation trip to yaya land. It's dangerous and its real, a kinda place where you visited and came back never be the same.
Immediately I was drowning in my tears. This film is something everyone should see. I did 17 years in the Navy, and spent a lot of time in Federated States of Micronesia. The people there are like family. They put everything on the line for the US military, doing the same exact jobs like what I did, as an American citizen serving. Unfortunately under all the red tape, service members and veterans from FSM do not get the same benefits afterwards… We are taking advantage of a people we gave a car sales pitch to, and it breaks my heart! I wish I could give my disability rating to someone else who is not entitled to receive something like that. Y’all deserve so much more. 🫶
