FILM STUDENT REACTs to (G)I-DLE "ALLERGY" & "QUEENCARD" MV 

Hi, Helle! Thank you for reacting to (G)I-DLE again! Their videos get better and better, don't they? In "Allergy", the allergy they have is to their mirrors (the lyrics translate to 'my mirror allergy'). Much of the focus in both videos centers around the birthday party they all attend, but there are several subplots in the plot. One is in "Queencard" where Miyeon walks up to Minnie and her Ex, and Miyeon hugs herself, which is Miyeon coming to terms with self-love. Only then can she love Minnie (who begins the dance battle by herself, and Miyeon comes from behind the crowd to join Minnie in the dance battle), as you have to love yourself before you can love others. Another subplot is Yuqi, there are teasers for these videos, and one of the first ones was Yuqi hosting a dinner with the other girls, and saying how cool the girls are, but when she talks about Soyeon, she says that Soyeon "is nothing special", and "maybe I should give her a makeover?" But in Queencard, when Yuqi sees how cool and how much fun Soyeon is, Yuqi can't stop bragging to people about her, saying Soyeon is like Kim Kardashian and Ariana. "Queencard" comes from an 80's Korean term "Queenca", which means "the coolest girl in the school". The girls made "Queencard" as a comedy video, and a couple months before the release of "Queencard", Yuqi gave Neverland a hint about the concept, saying that the title could be called "Hahahaha".
