Perhaps it would help you to review the map of Palestine from 1946 until now. And you will understand why they are saying "intifada" in context. If you don't get the context and if you don't even know what intifada means, perhaps your comment is ill informed.
Protesting is one of our most imortant rights, but when all you are doing is acting tough around your classmates, its not working. If you actually give a shit, why arent you there? I hear you saying "we are always by your side" but you arent anywhere near them, are afraid to leave the safety of the US? It seems like nothing more than an act. You want respecf, earn it. Get on a plane, go deliver food or water, do something that actuslly has an effect. These school protests accomolish nothing but cause problems.
After WW2, a lot of families from Europe migrated to the US, to get away from the war and the memories that it held. They left all that behind, not bringing it to the US. There were even Germans living next door to Poles and French, and got on with each other. I don't understand why people today migrate here and bring their stuff with them. Worse still, many of them, were born here, and never lived over there, yet they carry on with protests, and attack one another because their parents lived there and brought that stuff here with them, many years ago. I want world peace, but I know that will never happen, so the next best I can hope for peace in America. I'm not taking sides with one side or another, that is the whole point, it's nothing to do with me and my country, I just wish it wouldn't happen here. The REALITY is... All the wasted resources, damage to property, and disruption to everyday life is done by people that actually have nothing to do with either side, but they just want to cause as much trouble and kaos for their own reasons. Streets LA, has exposed the truth about who the real offenders were in many of these violent clashes and attacks. They have no cares, feelings or opinions about the war in Palestine or Israel , they are doing this for their own agenda. They attended and Infultrate many protests around the country, causing as much trouble as they can, getting others framed, set up, and arrested, just like the poor students in the carpark the other night. They did absolutely nothing wrong , did not attack anyone or fight with anyone, yet they were arrested for the actions of the infultrating outsiders.
