I used a Weston Master V in the early 1980´s, it died. Now I own a Weston Master IV, TWO V and two Euro-Master which all died ! Thigh it is a precise light meter I will not recommed it ! I can recommend the later versions of Calcu-Light light meters and Gossen Variosix F2 light meter.
Great video Jason. I really enjoyed that. Very informative and gives me reassurance that using my Weston Masters with my old film cameras is still valid.
Weston handbook recomends for reflective reading to hold meter angled slightly down to exclude some sky for a better reading for the subject. When using the invercone if your subject is in the same light as you are standing then no need to run up to take a reading, just turn your back to subject and point meter towards camera position.
Came here to say the same thing. When shooting landscape quite often the same light is falling where I am to where it is miles away. Incident is also great for metering under the shade if you want to also expose for shade in the distance. I use a master V meter.
