I want to really say well done on this video everyone. I shoot all my content on iPhone and thought this guide was absolutely unreal. Well presented as per and very very on point. Great overall channel. Thanks Justin.
Absolutely LOVE your videos, Justin! 😍 I will be starting my RU-vid channel in the coming months and honestly can’t thank you enough for your amazingly helpful and genuine advice! Wishing Primal Video all the success in the world! You are AWESOME! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
We assist interns of the Great and Relentless Few Show. We share your videos all over the world with interns to learn such skills from you. We appreciate your work! #GreatAndRelentlessFew
Wow. Had no idea you could do this but makes sense if the Apple Watch can mirror what’s on the screen. Smart! I’ve been using the selfie side in order to see myself.
thanks for this! always learn so much. I use a canon xa50 but prefer my iphone 13. edit on a mac, airdrop for the win. Love my i13 camera with internet for easy access to social platforms
Justin love your content. I want to film my real estate walk through content with my android smart phone. Would you recommend a gimbal setup? If so is a video about this? Thanks
I wish I saw this sooner . I film on my iPhone rear facing . I had used my Apple Watch strapped to my phone to be able to view while filming . It’s too small . I eventually found I had an additional tripod and strapped my 5x7 mirror to it . PERFECT . That took a looooong time to discover . ❤️ this video and tips! Thank you 🙏
Justin, do you have a tutorial showing how to tether your phone to your Mac to do videos? I need to learn how to do split screen recording so I can use visual aids with my iPhone while recording my face while I’m instructing. I’m interested in doing language learning videos (French/Spanish) so I need to learn how to do that. Help!!!! Lol
@@PrimalVideo Thank you so much. So basically I'm going to need to get an app because live streaming is on the list once I get the channel going and get enough people interested.
Can you make a how to video on how you made the part that starts at 18 sec. where the little you came out and pointed? I’ve been trying to do something like this for a while but I don’t know what it’s called?
This is amazing, i learn a lot. From using my back cam and put a mirror so i can still see myself, look on the lense . And cleaning the lense. 🤩🤩. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for this! Any thoughts on whether to use 4k 24 or 4k 30 or 4k 60? I have used 4k 30 and it creates a HUGE file. Would 4k 60 create an even bigger file? Would 4k 24 be sufficient?
4K 24 is preferable to create a more filmic look. 4K 60 is used to film footage that’s slowed down in post but looks too ‘video like’ at real time speed
You don’t understand how much this means to me!! Thank you very much man! I’m a new RU-vidr and have several videos. But all my videos are not good quality so I hope my subscribers forgive me lol I honestly thought something was wrong with my iPhone 11 Pro at first but never really bothered to check my camera settings. I assumed it had the right settings since I bought the phone years ago. Fortunately, you talked about making sure the camera settings is on the highest level so that made me checked my camera settings. My iPhone 11 Pro has the following options below: 70p hd 30 fps 1080p hd 30 fps 1080p hd at 60 fps 4k at 24 fps 4k at 30 fps 4k at 60 fps Guess what? All of these years I’ve been struggling with bad video/picture quality, my phone had been set to 1080p hd at 30 fps!! 🤦 Therefore, I’m so grateful that I came across your video man. Everything is looking amazing after I set it to 4k at 60 fps. I appreciate you! And oh I smashed the Subscribe button. Keep up with the good work!
Thanks for the video, very helpful. Quick question, the BOYA by-M1 Lavalier Microphone for Smartphones, I did not notice that you were wearing it, does it need to be worn or just placed near camera? Cheers
Great tips! Never occurred to me to set brightness. I’ve seen it change mid video and it’s quite obvious. I never knew why some people look to the right. I’m thinking, what are they looking at? Now I know. 😂
This is why I’m buying a new microphone right now I’m using an old one and it doesn’t connect to my iPad it’s fine and all it’s just not very 👍🏻 but 🎤 is fine
Hi there! I am using an iPhone and a 3rd party app for Clean HDMI out, but it is giving me vertical bars in the streaming platform. It does not do this when using my Android phone. I have tried several different settings on my iPhone, but to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks
Ok but I want to know actually how to hold camera and shoot certain movements like a pro or Director of Photography. No one ever does this. Hope you do soon!
Thank you! I’m new to making videos and this will help a lot! One question, I have an XR. Is there a way to shut off the microphone and do a voice over after?
I am a little confused on the format part. you turn off but does not show on my phone there are no turn off so am I choosing high efficiency of most comparable?
thank u for showing me i beilve my content is not any good i splished many times for a mic and cameras i rather do the simple thing so i can take it with me in park
Hey. That chapter-wise timeline of 1-2-3....12 that you've placed at the bottom of the screen of this video is impressive. How can we get that in our videos?
Thank you for sharing such valuable information! Just about to get started creating content and doing my research on all the equipment that I might need. I was wondering about the light used to record this video. I can see that you are making use of natural light, but I also see a square light on a tripod in front in front of you; what model and make is that one, please?
You didn’t talk about framing your shot... using screen thirds as a guide in how to frame yourself in the shot. So many people get this so horrible wrong. You might also include reference to standard framing terms like... big closeup (BC), closeup (CU), head and shoulders (H&S), mid-shot (MS), head to toe (HT) and wide shot (WS). The (abbreviation) is for quick scripting notes when planning your video in step 1.
It’s still a fantastic video 👏 but one thing I would add is that an on-device shotgun Mike for a mid shot or further away will compromise audio quality due to distance from subject
Once again, a great video!! One spelling error I noticed was at 0:37. The plural of “IPHONE” is “IPHONES,” not “IPHONE’S.” “IPHONE’S” is either used to show possession (the IPHONE’S SCREEN), or as contraction of IPHONE IS or IPHONE HAS (IPHONE’S going to release a new update because IPHONE’S been having some bugs that need fixing). Sorry, I’m a retired teacher. A+ on every else!
Sorry. I can’t figure out how to download the checklist??? Do u have a link? I keep pressing in the link and nothing happens but watching on my iPhone. Thanks for the great video ❤
The Rode wireless microphone is not very good and so expensive. I’ve purchased it for my outdoor videos and returned it after trying to get it to work properly but I didn’t succeed. The audio was too sensitive, you could hear all the outdoor noise around but me. Justin, what do you think, would the wireless little shotgun mic from Rode be good for outdoor videos? Thank you.
It could be how you were mounting or positioning the microphone. If it's far away from the person speaking then it will pick up a lot of background noise. I'm a big fan of the rode wireless go, the new version of it (v2) is even better
It’s turn out that mobile platform it’s a (semi) poor RU-vidr’s equipment. iPhone 12 w a Lavalier mic and iPad Pro w Luma fuision plus a few other apps has quickly become my to go RU-vid equipment.
