The Nazi Punks Fuck Off scene is so good, mostly because the Nazi punks are so pissed off at them playing that song, but they’re also kind of impressed, because playing that song to a bunch of Nazis is the most punk thing you could do.

This same director did a film called Blue Ruin that has a blue tint to the color grading. It’s an awesome film, basically a revenge thriller with a protagonist who sucks at everything.

@OriginalWhiteTornado
@OriginalWhiteTornado 4 года назад
@@JamesVSCinema It's a phenomenal movie. If you liked this, you'll almost certainly like Blue Ruin. It feels like the only legit revenge movie. The main dude is just a random guy who has no idea what he's doing and is way out of his league and it feels distressingly real. In my opinion, this director is up there with Ari Aster in terms of making violence meaningful again. A lot of movies make it part of the fun, but these make it brutality that you want to look away from. Freaking phenomenal.
@josevelajr
@josevelajr 4 года назад
Blue Ruin is great! The protagonist in that one is played by Macon Blair, the only one of the Nazi's from this film that survived. He's in all of Jeremy Saulniers movies and he's a competent director too, as he directed the film "I Don't Feel At Home In This World Anymore"; a fun dark comedy on Netflix. He's also tapped to direct the Toxic Avenger reboot.
@captainsplifford

@@JamesVSCinema Blue Ruin is a fantastically crafted film. Saulnier is truly an auteur. He also wrote and directed one of my favorite horror comedies of all time, Murder Party.
@jacket5456

He definitely does not suck at everything. He's sure as hell good at surviving. I think the director wanted to make an average, white, homeless male protagonist. And they god...damn...nailed it. Blue Ruin is one of the most believable movies I've seen in my life, like, shockingly believable.

Some of my favorite scenes in this film is when the band is sitting around the fire outside, the night before the reach the nazi bar.
