When he was leaked i was not expecting him to be a secret agent cyber samurai. He looks really cool 😂

Oh man, I was gonna ask if you could possibly react to the new Victor trailer for Tekken 8, and you already did! Thanks man, this was so good! About your question at 11:08 , after slowing down the video, I think Raven was attacking Victor when the latter executed that attack, which then launched Raven into the air, making it look like a throw. So that makes me think that Victor's attack there was actually a regular attack that could become a counter if the opponent is attacking while it happens, at which point the opponent is basically punished. It becomes a counter if well timed. For the MGS reference, I actually thought of Jetstream Sam from Revengence, with how Victor's sword is designed :)

Always love your take on things from a martial artist and filmmaker perspective. And as a Metal Gear fan, I got to say I'm probably the most interested in trying out Victor in Tekken 8.

Old man is the leader of the Raven Unit the same one that the other character "Raven" belongs to. That's how they know each other

11:04 almost certain that that’s one of his throw/grab animations, the split second slowmo is a new addition in tekken 8 that indicates your throw has become unbreakable due to certain conditions (when you time your throw at the exact time your opponent does an armoured move) Tekken has a lot of small visual details that tekken players will pick up on, it’s never really outright stated or explained in the game but playing the game enough you’ll notice certain visual effects mean certain things, it’s also easy to tell for a tekken player that Raven at this moment tried to use an armoured move but got caught in Victor’s throw. Btw, I already thought he was cool but your video definitely makes me appreciate him and the work that went into designing him even more. Nice informative analysis 11:34 Tekken has been experimenting with projectiles for some characters for a game or two now and they’re usually blockable or dodgeable and if your projectiles don’t hit you are super vulnerable. Victor might be a little different though

awesome vid man! they really did such a good job on this character + the trailer. to elaborate a bit on some of the slow mos here, it was something they had in tekken 7 and brought over to 8 and it happens when the fighters are throwing out hits that either one can potentially kill. it made for some INSANE moments in tekken 7 and can't wait to see more of that in 8 ^^

Nice review brotha, really enjoyed the breakdown. A quick note the weapon he was using that you called a switchblade is actually called a karambit, its a great CQC weapon.
