Fun fact: the guy that directed those Star Wars cinematics did a bunch of others for other games like bioshock infinite and was a creative supervisor for age of ultron and eventually directed his own movie bloodshot with vin diesel.
As an illustrator and comic writer I'd like to see more of this really. His in depth explanation of what's really going on, the composition, the way he talks about telling the story and building suspense, tells you that this guy knows his stuff.
Would love to see the following cinematics if they continue this, Assassin's Creed Revelations: E3 Trailer Assassin's Creed Unity: World Premiere Trailer For Honor Thin Red Path & Story Trailer Overwatch: Honor and Glory Trailer Transformers Fall of Cybertron: VGA Trailer
Ive never seen that star wars trailer holy fuckkkk that was crazyyyyy good!!!! The fact the one brother was everything his father wanted him to be, a machine for his war, and still didn't appease his father. Blinded by hatred and rage he goes to kill his father only to be stopped by the one person that loved him, his brother and he kills him in his blind rage. And only then is the father proud. Holy shit
I'd like to see a video where an Animator, or a Animator AND Filmmaker react to Animated Video Game trailers. Mainly the one from Code Vein. That I'd anticipate and watch with a passion.
No lie, I was shocked about how excited he was at the AC3 trailer, talking about how much we've progressed and all that. All I could think was, "If he's this excited about a trailer that came out 10 years ago, I can't wait to see how he reacts to more recent games."
The most cinematic scene in a video game I’ve ever seen is the BT void out scene from the beginning of Death Stranding. If you want to impress Mr Rouse that’s the scene that’ll do it.
Yeah gamology could give a little insight after the trailer to see what he would think, like the witcher 3 trailer that you see by itself is good but when you know the context it improves 100x
tbh, he kinda feels like he's been living under a rock. video game trailers are so close to movie cg that him having no knowledge of the advances in said technology (older vs newer trailers) just seems like he has very little to do with actual filmmaking...
you have to show him all the swtor trailers. obviously in the right order which is: return, deceived, hope, this one (just show it again you can watch them a million times and dont get bored lol) and betrayed. also all the final fantasy 14 a realm reborn trailers. Final Fantasy 14 1.0 Cinematic Trailer, Flames of Truth aka. End of an Era, A new beginning, Havensward, Stormblood, Shadowbringer and Endwalker i think his mind will be blown in a way that his head might actually explode watching those lol.
You need to have him just watch all the knights of the old republic trailers with the volume and dialogue because they are amazing. Also he needs to watch all the elder scrolls online trailers too. The knights of the old republic trailers are some of my favorite of all time but by far the elder scrolls online trailers are my favorite period the high elf and the Breton are just straight badass mother duckers but the bird alone is just a straight beast talk about a minima but ya please make a video of him watching the knights of the old republic trailers and a video of him watching the elder scrolls online trailers ya they will both be 30+ minute videos but 100% worth the length because he would be blown away by just how good of a job they do with them!
He needs to see Warframe: New War Cinemaric Trailer, It is phenomenal looking. Edit: The New War Trailer is a bit spoiler-y but the cinematic opening trailer from Tennocon 2019 is just as good.
You should REALLY play through SWTOR and its two expansions: Fallen Empire and Eternal Fleet. You would know way more information about Thexxan and his brother Edit: Thexxan is the brother that died :)
Ubisoft might be pissing us off lately, but one thing we will never be able to criticize is how to work with cinematography. The same as with Naughty Dogs. And that's why Hollywood does not to produce live adaptations. We already playing the movies.
I have love/hate relationship with cgi trailers, on one hand it's deceiving because most of the time, it's not represent anything of the game's gameplay and graphics, on the other hand, we got some of the best and beautiful short movies ever made
