Full credit to director Han Sa Min, who, in the Blackpink canon, also directed the MVs for Jennie's 'Solo,' Rosé's 'On The Ground,' as well as 'Stay' for the group. It's very cool that he shot on film and mostly at Universal Studios, because this is a nod to movies. And why not, because Jisoo is an accomplished actor. While the other members of BP are great performers, Jisoo does acting 'business' with her eyeline, a turn of her head, or a tiny gesture they can't really match. (Not that that matters!) This concept seems as much like a show-reel of her ability to build a narrative as much as it is a wonderfully stylish solo venture.

The Mv shooting is done in universal studios and Millennium Biltmore Hotels and Resorts to be one of the filming locations for Jisoo’s “Flower.” Other U.S. Pop stars such as Britney Spears, Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran also shot their music videos at the hotel

To me, the video feels so cinematic... it's so impressive to me how it plays out as a storybook just with "context clues". everything from the set design, the filter, the editing, the fashion, and the division into chapters, along with the lyrics, really managed to set the mood and tied the story together nicely. Jisoo’s portrayal was really great both as an actress and as a creative director ♥
