I dislike this representation. You have portrayed anime fans who have only ever watched 2-3 mainstream anime and assume they know everything about the genre. I have been one for almost 12 years now and I can vouch that this would grieve anyone who has been an enthusiast(weeb).I wish anime had remained obscure ( though I at times wanted for it to be popular).

Majority of indians got exposed to internet after JIO. and most of the anime were banned in TV due to indian censor board. This is a pretty accurate representation of indian anime watchers(teenagers and young adults who have watched mainstream animes). The world doesn't revolve around you, y'know.

The pure joy when you find out someone really wants to listen to One Piece and is ready to listen that long 😅 lol. Especially the end part is soooooo relatable. You are lucky your friend listened till the end. And that random storyline - it's like you can't explain someone the story like that. Man, first understand well, yamete kudasai means - stop! oni chan means - elder brother onichan yamete kudasai means - stop elder brother.. this line doesnt mean anything bad just that the voice actor said it cutely this is famous... whereas in hentai the voice actor doesnt use the term onichan yamete kudasai, instead they say yame yamete kudasai

Oni-chan is rather a more cute and sweet way of calling your elder brother, not a respectful manner. However, this term slowly turned into a sexualised word as the low-tier incest lolicon animes gained popularity amongst the low-tier anime audience.
