In this lesson we'll discuss fluid contaminants, filtration, and conditioning. We'll define contamination and contaminant sizing, identify sources of contaminants and discuss means of preventing contamination, means of filtering out contaminants, common filter performance ratings including beta ratio, common filtration schemes (return filters, suction filters, pressure or inline filters, kidney loop or offline filters, and filter carts), oil cleanliness standards, and fluid conditioning and heat exchangers (Full Lecture)
