Thanks for uploading this, what an awesome flight! You moved the gimbal a few times, Dustin Dunill style, to demonstrate the RC connection, but there's really no need to emulate him, your range strategies are far superior to his. When you were returning, with the battery at 50% and 11.6km out, you were getting approximately 270 - 280m per percent of battery, so at that point, I was fairly sure you'd have a few percent to spare when you landed, depending on your strategy. The Fimi RTH algorithm is great in still air or against a headwind, but you can always improve on it by flying manually, and faster, if there's a tailwind. You added forward stick at 29% battery, whilst still in RTH mode, increasing speed to 10m/s, but that resulted in about 300m per battery percent. Then you went out of RTH and used full forward stick, with speed set to 11m/s, same as your outbound strategy, and still got about 300m per percent, tho it dropped a little as you approached home. This is where I really value the Power Meter in the Fimi Navi 2020 app, which is sadly absent from the Navi 2 app used for the TX10. I might have started descending a little further out, say 1000m, but you wasted very little power with your landing, and coped with the drone's attempt to do a low power landing flawlessly when the battery got to 11%. At that point, I know you have to add up stick to prevent it descending. I just wish you'd switched to the battery parameters view after landing, so we could see the battery cell deltas and voltage recovery, but all in all, a great range flight. Clearly, if you had no regard for the battery, like, Dustin Dunill, you could have gone out to almost 15km.
Lol, do you think Dustin Darnell is the only drone pilot who uses the gimbal to ensure they still have a secure connection between that controller and the drone? A lot of experienced pilots do this as it's a great way to ensure that there is still a certain connection between the controller and the drone, there can be quite a bit of lag in your connection if you're just going by the bars and that's not good because I've seen it happen a lot of times where drone pilots are flying and they go from showing full bars to a complete dropout of signal and it doesn't matter how long a person has been flying, a complete signal lost can be a bit scary.
I need an oxygen while watching your video! My goodness grace! It's not a drone! It's a jet plane! Superb power! I'm thinking of getting the fimi X8 pro drone. 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤😊😊😊
I would like to see a comparative range test in the same location. 1. X8 2022 with standard remote control 2. X8 PRO with standard remote control 3. X8 PRO with TX10a
I know IAM msg a year after here but just look at the time it seems to give him .. At times his battery in minutes is over 50 ? I've got same model same battery but I've never seen this ever on mine ..I've watched the voltage and time and I believe he's not using the battery everyone else has rather what fimi has given him ..!!
Well keep in mind that the image resolution that's being transmitted is 1080p while on the fimi it's 720p so yes it's real you won't be able to tell too much from 720 to 1080p are a 5.5-in display
No! It's 4s - i.e it has 4 cells, whereas the previous X8's all have 3s packs. It's a major change for Fimi, and makes sense from an electrical efficiency perspective, but sadly it ends the backwards comoatibility we enjoyd for batteries from the 2018 all the way thru to the 2022 versions.
It fits, although the old model's motor is designed with 3s lipo, but it can work with 4s lipo also, but the flight controler needs some adjustment, fimi mentioned that they will release new firmware to make it compatible. BTW, the new battery needs new charger.
@@charlestoast4051 The new battery can be used with old models, but the old battery can't be used with the x8 pro, the kv of the motor has changed to fit the 4s lipo.
@@shapethefuturetech6005 Thanks you repply! Srcc is a Basic setting you can fly everywhere in in the world or does it follow the standard of the current country? If yes need some fake gps?
@@shapethefuturetech6005 i kown that i mean the app not allow my fly over 5km , maybe your flycam set unlimit but x8 tele about 5km must return home can go more
HAVE YOU TRIED TO TEST THE DRONE IN LEVEL 8 WIND . I USED TO OWN FIMI X8 V2 FEW WEEKS OLD BUT WHEN I TESTED TO 36mph WIND IN MID FEBRUARY THE DRONE DIDN'T COME BACK . I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA SO BEFORE I BUY THE NEW FIMI X8 PRO I NEED TO KNOW IF ITS REALLY LEVEL 8 WIND RESISTANCE . THANKS
Pretty amazing, with solid FPV. When I do long range out and back flights, I have a rubber band holding the stick forward on the RC - otherwise my right thumb cramps up, and that's just with the older X8's, with a 3s 4500mAh battery, never mind this 4s Plus pack on this beast!
