Hi, I uploaded a vid presenting my All-NBA choices, I’d appreciate it if you would tell me whether you agree or not: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oAviEwyjD4w.html
I never realized how much OKC collapsed to lead to this historic shot. They missed 2 free throws, had 2 turnovers, a stagnant offense and a horrible last shot by Westbrook. They only scored 2 points in the last 2:15
To be fair though westbrook actually did get fouled on that last shot and he didn't foul that one dude who shot freethrows. Its basically the same call but refs didn't call it fair
do you notice how pg was the one who missed those two ft’s? look familiar? yep, game 2 WCF 2021 baby. playoff p then goes on to say that dame’s series winner was a “bad shot” when he can’t make ft’s when it matters? come on, you’re better than that pg cherry on top was them blowing the 15 point lead in one quarter alone
@@col7004 If u watched the game u know pg13 was keeping them in it. He was on 🔥 Don’t know why they didn’t give him more touches but that’s just the Westbrook effect
@@alphashark8403 I know that, and im not discrediting that. just saying he choked those important ft’s, just like he did 2 years later. he cost his team, even if he was on fire. Ain’t even hate at this point, im just spitting. i love pg, but he did choke by missing both (at least make 1) but they prolly should’ve given him more touches
@@alphashark8403 Maybe because he turned the ball over in the clutch and missed 2 free throws in a row? The video is literally right there. Westbrook got screwed by the refs both offensively and defensively.
@@Scoll-ry3fe nah dame got a better career than kyrie , kyrie might be the more influential and ring than dame but the stats and career run is much better for dame
For OKC, not really, they traded their 2 best players and aside from the CP0 year, haven't really had much talent (I do think SGA is a future all star though).
The prior 2 seasons he averaged 30 n 29 and this season 24 while playing injured, he got surgery now so this next season he will finally play injury free, i dont see him declining , hes too talented
You might see a bit of a decline. That's natural for a player his age. I still think he will be a great player averaging 25-28. He's a shooter so as long as he's willing he can play in the league for many more years as a shooter and average 15-20 points even in his late 30's.
@@TheColeGreenfield yeah but trading cj is a bad move, its really hard to get such good combo guards in the league now. i get that they are trying to build around simons, but for simons to turn into that caliber player it will take another couple of seasons.... can they wait? will dame decline by then? at any rate they got absolutely ripped off on the powell trade and the cj trade. man sucks to see. and if dame signs an extension they have no cap space for 2023 free agency
I just love how Stotts completely trusted lillard. He called the timeout to get the quick 2 for 1 to guarantee the last shot of the game. Didn’t call time for the last shot because he knew what time it was.
Honestly, my favorite playoff series run was the 2019 Blazers. With the clutch buzzer beater against the Thunder, and the triple overtime against the Nuggets. While they did get swept in the WCF, the games themselves were close and entertaining. Even though I know it was unrealistic, I would have loved to see Dame and CJ win a championship.
CJ"s game seven in Denver was one of the best playoff performances in recent history. It's so dumb that people disregard it just becaus they didn't win a title.
Ah, the good old days; when the team chemistry was off the charts & mgmt wasn't going crazy/desperate to find pieces that fit or change coaches despite all the winning seasons the other guy had.
A classic end to a 4th for Russ: “oh, my teammate is red hot? Whelp I better start taking the majority of shots” happened with Durant all the time and then PG
OKC has to be one of THAT teams in the last decade that had GREAT players like KD, Westbrook, Harden, Adams, Oladipo, Sabonis and PG but didn't win a chip! 😔
@@chasenickles260 Westbrook has led the playoffs on assists per game four times, never led in turnovers per game. Against Miami heat in the finals Westbrook had less turnovers then both harden and kd but far more assists. Y’all love to say he has no iq but it only really shows how little u actually know about basketball and just that u copy false narratives. There are plenty more examples too
@@chasenickles260 I’ve never seen more nonsense in a comment by someone who was being unironic. Durant choked especially in the golden state series where Westbrook played better. Durant shot 28% from 3 that series and you want Russ to be passing to him? Russ also averaged 11.3 assists per game that series so I know you’re lying. Why don’t you give me some proof to back it up instead of blanket statements where you make shit up. After kd left Russ carried a bad team to 47 wins while leading the league in player efficiency rating, offensive box minus, value over replacement player, overall box minus etc. pretty much everything u said about him that period was objectively wrong. On top of that Russ led the league in pace which is why him getting boards and having teammates run was beneficial. He was one of the best transition players and it’s a crucial part of his game. Which of course you wouldn’t know because you know little to nothing about how he actually plays. He also has a career 74% or something win rate when he has a triple double so according to you when Russ pads his stats he wins at an above championship level team rate. You, at the very least, realize how stupid that sounds right? On the lakers he ended the season’s last 10 games averaging 22.2ppg 7.4rpg, 7.1apg on 52.1%fg and 41.5%3pt. The team went 2-8 and with the 10th game they eliminated themselves from play in contention. So even when Russ played at an incredibly high level, his team failed to win and so you blame him. Makes sense right? On top of that Russ and Lebron don’t have a great fit and AD was out half the season. I could go further in detail on everything I said but I’m not going to waste in my time. Before you embarrass yourself with your lack of knowledge on the topic at least do some sort of research.
I still find it sad that Portland greatest playoff run (coupled with probably its greatest moment) is partially forgotten because the Warriors ultimately swept them. Would have loved for them to at least have gotten 1 or 2 games in the WCF that year
The story of the game was that Nurk broke his leg earlier that season and everyone in Portland was devastated, and nobody had seen him, but when the Blazers cut the fourth quarter lead to 8 he came back in the arena and they showed him on the big screen and the whole crowd got back into the game. That was when Portland was willed to victory.
let's not overlook the fact that harkless was a 59% FT shooter in 2019. iced two in a row in arguably the biggest game of his life in crunch time lmao he even missed 4 in a row at one point in this same game. respect.
It’s a good shot if he is kind of open and he has that range. Better than trying to force up some random shot with contact against tough D. One of the coldest shot ever tho
People treat this shot like it was Mike in Game 6. I mean they had a 3-1 lead at home with a tied ball game. Dame had nothing to lose and everything to gain on taking some wild shot like that. Overrated imo
This series made me realize how overrated pg was but back then people didn't care so they blamed it on Westbrook and they were hoping for PG to be on the lakers so no blame was on him this series. This clip showed crooked refs and PG weak defense and missed freethrows
@@Stunt877 nah pg was ballin the entire night till the 4th, and if u watched the video westbrook didnt give pg the ball at all, and didnt make good decisions as the pg leading to turnovers
I don’t know what was wrong with that 2018-2019 Thunder team and especially the 2017-2018 Thunder team, both of those teams should’ve at least made it to the 2nd round and even maybe the conference finals. They had the talent. I don’t know if it was just because Billy Donovan was the coach or if it’s because Paul George didn’t play good enough or they needed a shooting guard or something. But they shouldn’t have been beat in 5 and 6 to the jazz and blazers
OKC looked horrible at the end. It's like they didn't want to win. - PG13 misses two free throws. - Westbrook makes two silly offensive fouls in back-to-back possessions. - PG13 just loses the ball dribbling by a half-hearted screen. - Westbrook forces the most awkward falling layup. - There is almost no ball movement. Just PG13 or Westbrook have the ball. Even offensive player Schroder isn't being used at all.
