lol as a heat fan.. i started going crazy when struss hit that 3 to make it a 2 point game was crazyyy.. we need to run that series back cuz we have some history..
@@stephenwa7417 looks like we will tun it back after all. In the 2 vs. 7 matchup. Celtics are better and the Heat are worse though so I anticipate the Celtics winning in 5.
@Chandler Greskamp agreed man.. as a heat fan it sucks especially cuz Celtics lost in the finals so we lost for nun.. hopefully bucks win this year cuz ion trust boston
@@rooks9430 Are you 13? Herro only missed a game or two. Celtics were injured all year and still prospered. Go cry to your friends in middle school you little shit
@@CloudyB_MT Smart missed three open looks. It happens. I’m most upset at Grant not bodying Lowry more on that drive. It was just too easy. Strus 3 is just part of game. I actually surprised Jimmy missed that 3, despite it being the weakness in his game. Guy just seems so clutch.
You gotta give it to the Celtics. Had the hardest road to the finals so far. Swept KD and Kyrie. Eliminated the reigning champs, Bucks in 7, eliminated the 1st seeded Heat. And now facing the team of this decade, the Warriors. Well-earned, well-deserved.
When jimmy took that transition 3 my heart sank. I’ve seen a lot of heartbreak being a Celtic fan and damn it felt good to just see Boston finally make it back to the finals. This team is special
I’m no where near a Celtics fan but damn what a year for them. Such a slow start to the season and outa no where they became number two seed, and easily had the hardest playoff schedule. All respects to them.
Facing elimination, Jimmy Butler left it ALL on the court in the ECF ⚡ 𝑮𝒂𝒎𝒆 6: 47 PTS, 9 REB, 8 AST, 16-29 FG 𝑮𝒂𝒎𝒆 7: 35 PTS, 9 REB, 13-24 FG He played all but two minutes in the final two games for the Miami Heat.
Naw, he should have made a 2 then its even, play defense and see what happens. By missing a 3 you put yourself in the red , remember unless you are a pure 3 point shooter don't shoot that 3 unless there is no time left to do anything else. Players are getting carried away with the 3 pointer !
Tatum's rookie year at 19 years old averaged 18 points 4 Reb and 2 Ast and Jaylen Brown in his Sophomore year averaged 18 Points, 4 Reb and 1 Ast in the playoffs. This Playoffs Jayson Averaged 27 Points 6 Reb 7 Ast and Jaylen Averaged 23 Points 7 Reb 3 Ast, while Both having Improved Defensively. Shoutout to Marcus Smart as well. Getting that experience and putting in that work pays off. Grant Williams, Derrick White, Robert Wiliams, and Payton Pritchard are nice additions to the Team as well since that 2016 Celtics team. Got to give Credit to Ime Udoka as well. He's been Great as a coach.
Tatum,4-1 in game 7s at age of 24 Brown, 5-1 in game 7s at age of 25 Not too shabby considering Bird was 1-1 in game 7s at age of 26 Of course Bird had a title at age 25
Tatum isn’t even better than butler. Needed a lot of ref help to win this series. That’s why nobody will gaf about the rest of the year besides Boston and gsw fans.
That Strus 3 gave me chills man and I was so nervous and confused when Jimmy shot that 3 and equally disappointed when he missed it. Strus showed up in the clutch man. The Heat would be absolute idiots to let him go. He gave them hope and chance after chance there as the end
@luis garcia And you sound like a senile person who doesn’t have joy in his life. Why are you coming at random people on RU-vid? Find better ways to spend your time and energy than trash talking people online who didn’t even say anything rude or anything 😂 Cmon dude, do better. Sad.
I'm cool with Butler taking the 3 pointer shot "IF" he had his feet set, which he didn't. Jimmy rushed that last 3 pointer shot and I understand why. When you're trailing and never led in the game, heart pounding, adrenaline pumping, AND it's the last game of the series??? All of those factored in his decision to shoot that shot, like he did.
Bad choice, too many people taking 3 pointers thinking it will put them up by 1 if they make it. Make a 2 and tie it up then play defense ! The league is getting carried away with 3 pointers !
Celtics coach terrible Last 5 min Tatum had ball brown had 1 attempt last game Brown 18 at half 3 attempts 2nd half Celtics Not beat Celtics Tatum jacking 25 shots 30 points Celtics need move ball Brown to unselfish he Score easy Tatum got ball alot offense ran through him
Crazy How The Referees Gave The Heat 26 FOUL CALLS to The Celtics 18. Its Crazy How Bam Adobiyo Can JUMP OVER THE BACK ---->ELBOW White in The Heat (Draw Blood) and Take Him Out of The Game With NO FLAGRANT! It's Also Crazy How This Group of Referees Call Jalen Brown For an Offensive Foul For An ELBOW to Bam Adobiyo In The Restricted Area on a Fast Break. Its Crazy How These Referees Literally Gave Kyle Lowry 3 Calls For Driving To The Basket and Falling Down With MINIMAL CONTACT. Crazy How All That Cheating The Referees Did in This Game Still Couldn't Beat The Celtics. That's What's Crazy!
The Boston Celtics just completed the ultimate revenge tour: ❌Eliminated by Nets in 2021 1st Round ✅Beat Nets in 2022 1st Round ❌Eliminated by Bucks in 2019 2nd Round ✅Beat Bucks in 2022 2nd Round ❌Eliminated by Heat in 2020 ECF ✅Beat Heat in 2022 ECF
yoo the similarity is actually insane, Real first beat PSG with some of the biggest names such as Messi, Neymar and Mbappe but they had no real team chemistry just like the Nets with KD and Kyrie, in the next round both teams beat the defending champions and in the semis it was a grit and grind series between two evenly matched teams that went down to the wire in both cases. Lets see if Boston can also pull this off
Right back at the Bucks! With Giannis you guys will always contend for a ring. Can't say the same about any other team in the league, even the Celtics and Warriors.
Good Job Celtics, and Good luck in the finals! I love all the players in both the Celtics and Warriors, but I'm rooting for the Celtics because I want to see the two Jays get their ring.
The Boston Celtics are 26-9 in 7th game playoff series in franchise history, including 7-1 in the championship finals. I have been a Celtics fan since 'way back in the days of Bob Cousy, before they had ever won an NBA title. Now they're going for no. 18. Go Celtics!
As a Durant and Kyrie fan i rooting for Celtics in the final! Good luck for them! I am from Bulgaria from 7 000 - 8 000 kilometars away but when i can i watch NBA. Lakers are richest and most popular club but Celtics got people hearts with his history and that they never give up to richest men. Go Celtics for number 18!
@luis garcia why are you trying to gatekeep basketball? Let the people enjoy the game, you’re no better cause you’ve watched more or less games. Be humble!
Celtics had the hardest road to the finals so far. Swept KD and Kyrie. Eliminated the reigning champs, Bucks in 7, eliminated the 1st seeded Heat. And now facing the team of this decade, the Warriors. Well-earned, well-deserved. Warriors in 6 tho
the Nets were a disappointment of a team and every knows that, Bucks didn't have Middleton, the Heat despite pushing it to 7 games never really was going to win this. it will be a big challenge for the Celtics to face a complete and healthy Warriors team. the warriors had their series wins against injury plagued teams as well. should be an exciting series though. it's honestly hard to tell who will win.
Damn I had to take my like back when I saw that last sentence lol Celtics are winning in 7 especially since they redeemed themselves from the lebron ass woopin back in his heat days haha good luck though
YES. Finally !!! When the Celtics took Lebron to ECFs years ago ( 7 games,I believe )I was a Lebron fan,but seeing how,HARD and HUNGRY the Celtics were,I wanted them to go to the nba finals instead !!!! LOL. Now,it's here,Celtics in 6 !!!!
If that Jimmy Bucket 3 pointer when in, that would be the greatest shot in Game 7 history!!! Am with Jimmy with that shot!!! Respect to Jimmy, he played in the whole game!!! A legendary for me!!!
True however he put that behind him and made 2 very important free throws. But very poor shot selection late from him and it will need to be cleaner to beat GS.
very unusual for Marcus - but you hafta believe that the legs are dead. Entire season, a couple tough series - then seven games vs. the Heat - (when your legs go the shots tend to come up just short).
Butler threw the game away & he had a easy drive to tie the game to carry over time but took a three to lose the game! Smh he forgot that's the last game!
Jimmy is gonna think about that 3 attempt for a long time. What could’ve been but regardless the Celtics deserved this. Good luck against the warriors!
That last three point shot by Butler was a bit rushed. He had plenty of time to get his feet set for a much cleaner three. He just ran to the three line, without setting his feet and launched it. If he would've set his feet, I believe he would've made it. That said, "WHAT A SERIES THIS WAS!!!" Let's go: NBA 2022 Finals!! #WarriorsVsCeltics
Jimmy did that crap to screw the Heat; if he makes it, he's the hero; if he misses it screw the Heat. Remember that fight with the coaching staff and Haslem? Jimmy Butler is a self-serving player and he just wants to have a work-out when he plays, no matter the game, as long as he has a good workout all is well... he's not a winning player. If Butler were a great player, he would have done something, anything, from the 7 minute mark to the 2 minute mark where he did nothing to answer Boston as the best player to keep his team afloat... then he takes a bad shot down two he takes a three... I immediately thought of that fight and how much of that had nothing to do with actual basketball.
@@AidanS99 lol there was a reason horford left him open, he didn't expect him to shoot he thought he would drive to the basket instead but Jimmy proved him wrong and bricked it hard
Everything about the atmosphere of the game during that shot made it seem like it was destined to go in. It almost seems more unreal that it didn't. If it drops, this clip is perhaps as iconic as the Steph OKC shot or the Dame shot.
That's how I felt. When some people was saying jimmy shouldn't have took that shot. I'm thinking, they've haven't watched enough basketball in their lives. The way the game was going, that shot normally goes in. And the crowd goes crazy. And everybody remembers that shot. It becomes part of jimmy and the heats legacy. I almost knew that the heat and Celtics would play again in the ECF. Jimmy definitely remembers that shot
Butler, should have taken a 3 , then you are even, why take a risk trying to get to the finals by gambling on a 3 ? A 2 would have put pressure on Boston to score , if they don't you have a second opportunity to go into overtime !
C's got away with this one. If they have this kind of meltdown against GSW, Game Over! Miami made a huge blueprint on exposing their offensive inconsistencies.
as a heat fan you have no idea how far my heart sank after that jimmy three. it was the right move tho jimbo didn’t get any rest the entire game he wouldn’t have lasted in ot
Butler had an outstanding night, but that last 3 was a questionable decision to say the least. Celtics defense the whole series has been incredible though, you gotta give them that. Well deserved
It wasn't in question more so that it was rushed. He ran straight to the 3 point line and launched it, without setting his feet.... and had 16 seconds left... plenty of time to get a set shot off.
@@kwongshuchung it ain't but it's damn better than shooting a three. He's not a three point shooter. He's been slashing and attacking the paint all game long and that what led them to this. *sigh* Nonetheless, Jimmy gave it all. One bad play should not over shine what he did for the Heat. He carried the damn team.
Jimmy butler’s shot made me sad. The guy played so well and seeing that go in would’ve been the surge into the finals towards his ring. He has the heart of a champion, and now needs to live with one of the tough to swallow misses in anyones career.
In this series, whatever team came out flat lost. The Heat clearly didn't get rested and had a horrible and inexcusable 1st quarter. The Celtics are evenly matched, so the Heat couldn't overcome the first quarter. When you're losing, the threes just don't fall as easily.
The Celtics doing this year, what the bengals did last year in the nfl. Doing more and going farther than anyone thought they could, through the toughest opponents
I think that is such a poor decision by Butler - mainly bc if he misses, there is nobody on the Heat to get that rebound. Yes, it might have been a great look, but way too risky.
He rushed it. I'm cool with him taking that shot "IF" he had his feet set, which he didn't. That shot was rushed but when you're down, never led in the game, adrenaline pumping, AND it's the last game of the series??? All of those factored in his decision to shoot that shot, like he did.
Basketball fans and analysts will talk about this shot by Jimmy for a long time. With the game on the line with 19 seconds left, you have to trust the instincts of your best player. He could have driven to the basket which he usually makes or picked up a foul. He willed this team to where they are right now, he has the right to take that shot anyways. Great series!
This would have been a different outcome under the old “jump into the defender for a easy foul” rules. This game was so much cleaner without those cheap fouls that powered scorers from 1990 through 2021.
That rule really only existed from the early 2000s to 2021. The 2010s are where it became heavily exploited. 1990s basketball had a very different rule set and defenders were up. Great scorers from the 90s were just great scorers and not some early version of James Harden.
@@MrDarkx1000 In 1990, *the day after* The (championship-favourite) Bulls lost game 7 of the ECF without injured Pippen. The NBA media, *NIKE* , and particularly biased newspaper writers like Skip Bayless started immediately pushing the totally unsubstantiated & fantasy narrative of “headhunting bonuses” for players on the “Bad Boy” Pistons to hurt opposing players, and alluded that it was normal on other teams too. It got way worse after the Pistons beat Magic’s already banged up Lakers in the finals with their collapsing defence. So… That summer the league held a conference and quite literally changed the entire game. • Flagrant & Technical fouls were now 100% a judgement call by the refs, and flagrants did not need contact to occur. Flagrants also now automatically gave a shot to any team member, PLUS they now got possession. • All 3 Refs could call a flagrant foul now *without agreement by the head Ref* The flagrant upgrade could also be made by any ref not just the one who made the initial call. • Flagrant upgrades were also not allowed to be reviewed, challenged, or disparaged in the media by anyone league-associated during or after game. The Referees Association loved these changes, but then resisted the creation of an independent Referee grading system (like we have now), to make sure only the best & most unbiased referees were calling games in the playoffs. Instead playoff refereeing decisions could solely be based on seniority of all available within the Referees Association. www.nbra.net/ Scorers like MJ changed their entire game in that next season, with a sweep through the handcheck, or a pump fake & *jump into* the defender, now being common practice. Jordan personally matched James Harden’s career high of 17 FT made in a game that season, then MJ beat it in ‘92-93 with 21 FTs made in a single game, and beat even that with 22 made FTs in a game in ‘97-98. MJ even admitted that Clyde Drexler was just as good as he was, but that Drexler didn’t “know how to play the game.” As in market himself to the fans *and the referees* to get those cheap extra calls. www.sportscasting.com/michael-jordan-told-teammates-privately-clyde-drexler-good-didnt-know-play-game/ This is not even including the insane lessening of overall competition among teams in the 1990s and early 2000 expansion era. The era before the top overseas players, like Vlade Divac, Ginobili, Giannis, and Doncic coming to the NBA was normal practice.
im watching from heaven, cheering celts on, i died when jimmy butler took the 3. tatum texted me a few mins ago, told me "i got you" in the finals, celts beat warriors.
GSW's Win is a slap to Kevin Durant's face, they don't need him to go to the Finals Celtics' Win is a slap to Kyrie Irving's face, they don't need him to go to the Finals Net's being the #1 Contender in the Finals with the highest expectation but turned out to be the only team who got Swept in the Playoffs is a slap to both KD and Kyrie's faces...lol
