The next Summer Olympics will be in Los Angeles, and that will allow Clark to not only be on the team, but also its captain, and playing with her peer group. The majority of the current players on the team will be in their 30's, and with players like A'ja Wilson, since this will be her second Olympic appearance, it's there is no ego hurt by not inviting her back for a 3rd appearance, even if she is one of the Top 5 players in the WNBA. Players like Jackie Young, though in 2028 will be 30, can also be out of fairness scratched off of an invite, because she has already won Gold in the last Olympics via the Women's 3x3 competition. And at the rate the Women's Olympic Team has faired the past 3 decades, unless they suffer a major flop, they will win Gold again.
