Three months' worth of hauled books adds up to a lot! So, here's one last look at books I've recently hauled. There's a ton of classic novels on this list as well as some literary fiction. So even though I'm moving I've cleared out a lot of books to make room for books that are harder to find. I have no regrets and hope you enjoy and find some new books to add to your TBR. Happy reading and thanks for watching! #bookhaul

I envy anyone who is about to read their first Sherlock Holmes book. You enter the world of late Victorian London, go on adventures, and always return to the cozy flat at 221B Baker Street, where Mrs. Hudson does all the housework and serves all the meals. I hope you enjoy the stories as much as I did when I first found them over forty years ago.

Thanks! Do you think this is a good one to start with or should I start with book 1?

@@noteworthyfictionThis is an excellent place to start. It's his earliest book of short stories, and they're some of the best. If you read a few and don't like them, you can just stop without having invested a lot of time. But the very first book, A Study in Scarlet, is a novel. It'll be fun for you to read if you decide you're a Holmes fan, because it describes how Holmes and Watson first met.

Yay! I love me a Nicole massive book haul. 😅 You found a mass market paperback of The Instance of the Fingerpost! I've been looking for that. And those Tor classics are so fun! I might have one on my shelf. I'll have to look. I was today years old when I first heard of Georges. Please read that one soon and tell us about it. I'm highly suspicious of never hearing about it. Happy reading!

lol. I love me a Nicole massive book haul too. I did find it in mass market. Usually I'm not a fan of that size, but sometimes it's super satisfying. I am hoping to get to Georges really soon. I also have suspicions and questions about it. Surpressed?bad?amazing? We'll see.

Right! Can't move knowing there will be too many empty spaces when you arrive. I too like B&N Classics more than the black spines. My favorites are Modern Library (larger font like B&N, nice pictures on cover, but also super floppy and nice paper). Best part of black spines are the notes, but I rarely reference those on first reads because of spoilers.

This was so fun to watch!! Whenever you read them ,I hope you enjoy the read📚. Idk if you read this book, but I highly recommend it,it’s called; the perks of being a wallflower. It’s such an incredibly deep and rich read. I’m nearly finishing it;but I’m taking my time reading it;because the importance it has in apart of my life. I watched the movie first before I read the book. But I’m chugging along with reading the book, and I’m enjoying every once of it!!🙇🏻‍♂️✨

For Ernest Hemingway, you absolutely must read The Old Man and the Sea. I hear so many people say it's boring, but my thoughts are that they aren't reading deep enough. It's such a short book and can be read in one sitting, but it has so many themes that can be discussed with someone else...or just to be thought about by oneself.

Good idea! I know of that one but don't think I've read it. I have a picture of my dad at the beach that I titled that, I don't think he got the joke! I will definitely keep that in mind over the next few weeks.

I've never heard of Georges...but now I need a copy. It sounds really good. I only know McTeague as the book that inspired the silent film Greed. In the making of Greed, they tried to put on film absolutely everything in the book...which made the original film 9 hours or more long. It was cut down to just over 2 hours for theatrical release, which was still VERY long in the silent era. Obviously very few people have ever seen the full 9 hour film.
