It’s been a tough year for the band so far. Although schools re-opened in January, there is huge pressure on pupils to catch up with the time lost when schools were closed for almost two years due to Covid restrictions.
The timetable and curriculum has had to change and it leaves very little time for our players to practice. Even weekends are often taken up with extra lessons.
Still, we try our best and continue to bring young ones through the ranks of the band and encourage their development through brass music. Not forgetting drums as well!
Easter marks the end of first term and we can at least take a short break to give us a chance to record a video yesterday before heavy rains came.
