Companion to Fun Type, better 3D effect, better onscreen controls.
I developed this effect last November, but before I could release it, Final Cut 10.1.0 came out and some Macs had trouble rendering it, so I've waited until the bug was fixed (and enough people would have upgraded to make this "safe".)

Do you know how (and if) I can use this plugin to make continuous scrolling texts? They would be warped but reading across the screen like news updates.

You could make this work. I'd recommend creating one line and designing what you want the text to look like, then keyframe the Text Position. Then for subsequent lines, just duplicate the original and change the text. Place the second one on your storyline so that it starts just behind the end of the first one. Rinse and repeat. Make adjustments as necessary. HTH

PS -- I made this a long time ago and OnScreen Controls worked differently. Now - all you have to do to access the OSCs is type the keyboard shortcut for one of the other tools to gain access to the OSC over the Text controls. The shortcuts are: B-blade tool, R-range tool, T-trim tool, P-position tool or H-Hand tool. To regain access to the text, just type A-Select Tool.
