As the sun rises on the final day of One Week In November, conditions couldn’t be more ideal. Spencer hikes in to pack out his buck from the day before, while the rest of the crew commits the last evening to their current location. Clay gets close, but decides to pass on a younger deer, while Janis and Mark are stunned by the lack of deer activity. Tony’s instinct to pass on a young buck in the morning pays off as bigger buck provides a tight shot opportunity. After a stressful wait, a surprisingly long blood trail leads Tony to a solid 8 point buck. Presented by ‪@lacrossefootwear‬

Agreed 100%. I don't hunt (yet.... and that is only due to none of my close family being hunters) and have been on the edge of my seat every episode riding the rollercoaster of emotion with the guys. Love this series and all the meat eater series!

Seeing Tony, a whitetail veteran, still get the shakes, and second guess things like most bowhunters do, is pretty cool. I mean obviously no one wants to rush shots, but there's rarely an ideal situation that presents itself in the whitetail woods.

Awesome series gentlemen! Found last years so will be watching that next. Very cool the text messages (reminds me of myself and my boys while hunting) and the fact that it wasn’t necessarily huge 200” bucks. Has me rejuvenated to get after it again! I fully agree about the music. I was 12 in 2000 and 101.1 the wrif in SE michigan played Fred bear for he opening day of bow season. I shot a doe 20 minutes after day light on my first hunt with a 30 lb bow xx75 1916 aluminum arrow with a .75 grain wasp cut on contact. It was awesome

Yeah, my first deer was a doe. Shot it through the heart with a 30/30. It ran nearly 300 yards before it died. They are incredible animals!

my first deer was also a doe shot at like 10yrds with a 270 ran about 15 yrds but back up the hill so dragging her out sucked

I just shot my first deer with a bow this past weekend, hit her perfect but the broadhead didn't open very much and she went back to eating and then wondered off after 10 minutes and died. I was shocked how long she stayed alive.

I remember listening to "Boot Skoot and Boogie" at max volume from my PU stereo, while I belly crawled 100 yds into a clear cut, waiting for shooting light......got a nice Muley 4x4....out of the 4 bucks on that doe....he was the smallest....but probably the best eating.

Loved watching this show! Great content! But it leads me to a question that I have pondered since my college days. A classmate and I brought venison back to school and hosted a venison dinner for friends. He was from Pennsylvania, and I was from Illinois. My venison was cornfed and almost marbled like beef, a beautiful rich dark red color. The Pennsylvania venison ate acorns and pinecones, and was very dark brown colored. My cornfed venison tasted better at least as I remember. In your experience hunting whitetail all over the USA does the venison taste relatively the same? Or does what it eats and where it is from make a difference? I will be moving to Kentucky from Illinois in a couple of years after I retire and I am looking forward to being able to hunt more.

Man, I've taken more white tail deer with a bow than other hunters with a gun and bow included. I don't watch hunting shows because their all the same. Steven Rinella made the show interesting in general plus the cooking and even spearfishing, which I'm also a free diver . So sad I guess I'll be watching reruns 😢

I’m all for anybody shooting what they want and hunters banding together, but in that same vein we should be able to rib each other a little then if we’re all a big hunting family. I have to give Tony a little crap because he’s always going on podcasts and talking mature buck tendencies and hunting and being this big buck hunter then shoots a 2 year old.
