Final Destination 2 (2003) First Time Watching Movie Reaction, Review, and Commentary for JL. Many moments of pure admiration at the absolute pure petty level of Deff and a lots of reassurance that it would be creepy AF to be around Tony Todd in real life were had.

The movie that made an entire generation fear and respect the log truck

Not if you grew up in the PNW. A log truck every other vehicle. As a kid, you knew to get away from log trucks asap. Those chain snaps are more common than you'd think. Made me hate driving near big rigs in general.

Dude, I love your channel. And having produced all the Final Destination movies, I love this reaction. Two interesting notes -- the scene in the car where they all realize they're connected to the survivors of Flight 180 in the first movie? The studio wanted to cut that scene. We had to shoot other scenes faster to earn it, and even then they didn't want it. And it's the most critical scene in the movie! Sigh. They also didn't want to shoot the scene where Rory tells Kimberly to hide all the stuff that might break his Mom's heart. We snuck in two takes of the scene without telling them -- that's why it's in one shot with no coverage. Yet another scene that is critical to making that character become a real person. Double sigh. Oh, and if you keep going with the franchise, I apologize in advance for FD4. Consider FD5 a return to form. Anyways, I appreciate your reactions and look forward to seeing more.

Thanks Craig for always showing love to the RU-vid reactors. It's always great to see your comments and the inside scoop on the making of the movies. I understand that it's all a collaborative effort, but I love it when creators can stick to their guns. Both scenes were great and should not have been taken out. I'm hoping that someone in the studio apologized and said you guys were right.. 🙄

It’s definitely up there shaine. But I’d have to say War of the Worlds when the aliens start turning people into dust with that big AZZ machine that comes up out the ground. Just clapping everyone while Tom Cruise is running for his life would have to be in my humble opinion the best. Especially when he gets home covered in human dust and the kids ask him what’s all this stuff he’s covered in. Gave me chills. It takes a lot of talent to do that without showing pretty much no blood involved. Great comment though. Made me have to think about it before I commented.

Fun detail: The filmmakers tease Evan's death by hiding little hints. 1. The doll in the hallway is missing the right eye. 2. The magnetic letters on Evan's fridge spell out "EYE" 3. He bought an "eye"Mac. (This one was a little more subtle, but it works.)

Watching that freeway scene with in a crowded theater was a hell of an experience. I remember walking out after the movie with my friend, and we were both of a little paranoid on the drive back to my place. We deliberately avoided taking the freeway, even though it was a much longer trip home. Nowadays, whenever I see a big rig hauling anything oversized, I make sure to keep my distance. I know it's just a movie, but accidents happen...

Back in the late 70s or early 80s (been so long ago, not sure anymore) A young lady's car was hit by a log from a log truck in Shippenville, Pa. Killed her instantly. We didn't live far from there. It was really sad and tragic. I've been petrified of those trucks ever since. Even though I didn't know her I still think of her.♡

My husband has been a truck driver for 30 years and he can tell you some stories! I used to ride with him sometimes before our kids were born and I've never looked at big trucks the same since. I remember one time we were on I-40 going 70+mph in moderate traffic when a compact car in the left lane beside us changed lanes right in front of the truck with barely enough room to do so. What a lot of people don't realize is that there's about a 12-15ft blind spot in front of the grill where the driver literally can't see a thing. This car happened to tuck right into that blind spot and neither of us saw it. 10 mins later we see this car materialize out of thin air into the lane beside us. We look over at them as we pass by and all 4 people in the car are white as a ghost. Turns out we'd been pushing them the last 8 miles without the slightest idea they were even there. And btw, you were wondering why the log truck was still driving? To answer your question, he wasn't. It just takes a LONG time for a big truck going hwy speed to stop, especially on wet and/or icy roads. Have you ever been driving down a steep mountain road and seen areas on the shoulder that have been cleared and covered with sand? They're for run away big trucks to plow into when their brakes burn up from fighting to maintain a safe speed in a loaded rig that wants to hurtle downhill at 100mph. Moral of the story: Slow your roll Folks and give big trucks a wide berth! In practically any collision involving an 18 wheeler you are gonna LOSE
@liamwarner5749
@liamwarner5749 11 месяцев назад
Speaking personally as a non-truck driver I hate the people who do that, especially when there's nothing in front or behind of either of you. You DON"T need to merge across so close the first indication I have of it is your car's front coming across in front of me because your indicator's still back by my shoulder.

I drove straight trucks for a few years in the early 2000s, and have since taken up motorcycling. I'm fairly certain drivers of regular cars are the most scary on the road, no spacial awareness or attentiveness at all. Blind spots are real, people!

Fun fact, over on corridor crew the person who worked on the special effects had a funny story to tell about the highway pile up. So to paraphrase and cut a story short. Director wanted big explosions. So he and his team made big excessive explosions with mindset the director would see that and go tone it down. They show him, and to their surprise he just yells YES! THAT'S IT! And that's all she wrote and that's why we have big explosions.

I had a spooky Premonition one time; I had a dream that I was at my dad's auto repair shop, and I was helping his works lift this large transmission head into the back of his truck, then suddenly the pulley on the chain snapped and the transmission fell on my foot and crushed it. 2-3 months after that dream, it was at the same place, same situation, and the same chain with pulley, and suddenly it snapped, and I moved my foot away just in time and the transmission left a gash on the concrete. That made me believe in the supernatural and pretty much pushed me towards the occult and magick.

Another great reaction , J, with more great blankness, Blank! I've seen Tony Todd at a few conventions. He is super, super nice like people say. And he's older now, and usually sitting at a table, so he doesn't seem very intimidating. But that voice! He knows how to modulate it perfectly so the hairs on the back of your neck (or in my case, my entire Sasquatch-like back) stand up. If he ever comes to a convention near you, J, you owe it to yourself to go see him.

I still won’t ride near log trucks. I bet log truck drivers love this movie. It gives them the whole road.

Always found it interesting why they used highway. Grew up just down the road from the opening highway 🛣️ 💥 🚙 scene 🎬 tons of stories being that specific highway too 👀 coincidentally enough, we crashed on that same highway too, totalled vehicle.

Our milk men deliver the milk in glass bottles, yeah, once a week. It used to be twice a week, but now they have a lot more homes on their routes, so they're so busy they can only come through one time. Way back then, the bottles had those paper caps, but now they have screw-on plastic caps.
