@@FlixCreEightR yeah I heard of that and you know I would’ve respected them even more. Like when a horror movie kills a kid in a brutal way it’s such a gag every time.
i remember watching it when I was 14, I was so SHOCKED cz I thought he was so fine nd he was like my age... In a weird way later that year I ended up liking another dude named Tim???
Old cars had a fuel distribution system so if the front of the car got brutally damaged the fuel used to catch on fire and reach the main fuel tank and blow up
I love that Clear Rivers kept herself in a padded cell yet had freshly dyed blonde hair that she probably maintained somehow in a very risky way. Nothing comes between a woman and her hair. Not even death. 😂
It’s funny cause the producers just wanted that for continuity purposes. They thought audiences would think it would be weird for some reason if she was blonde the first movie and then brunette the next lolll
I think it's more logical that Clear was always blonde and had dyed her hair in the first movie. This would mean she wouldn't have to do anything to maintain her hair color while in her cell cuz it would be her natural hair color. This would also fit in with real life as Ali Larter is also blonde
The hint that the order is in reverse is actually right in the beginning. The friends were all saved from their initial deaths, and because they died last, they were now first on the list, and got immediately killed at the site of the crash.
31:22 You can't mess up the order by trying to end it yourself~ Eugene, earlier in the film, was trying to take himself out before his turn; that's why Death intervened for him. In the first movie, it *was* Carter's turn at the train (that's why Death tried so hard to keep him in the car on the tracks), but Alex intervened and made it skip to Billy.
Fr like she should know this but ig she was only focusing on her visions Sadly her being wrong on who they were supposed to go to got two killed. Rip Clear
I just noticed for the first time in 20 years that when Evan is first coming up the stairs to his apartment, you can see a toy ambulance and a baby doll in the floor foreshadowing the ending of the film.
7:52 have you ever heard the term doing a complete 180? I think this is a clue that their lives is about to take a turn especially since 180 is turning in reverse in the complete opposite direction.
17:49 The force is death itself, they just gave it more of a personality. Death isn't random, they were meant to die when they are supposed to die. By not dying they mess up the entire cycle and balance by existing when they shouldn't, unintentionally messing up other people lives by coming into contact with them.
No other movie that I've seen, in my 35 years of life, has had a greater impact on my life than this movie. It's not because it's great or phenomenal, by any means. It's because, whenever I'm driving, if I wind up directly behind, next to or in the vicinity of, a 18 wheeler carrying ANYTHING (pipes, logs, cars, ladders, WHATEVER) I get from around it with The Quickness!!! Always. Ha!
Same. The palpable feeling of thinking that they could dislodge at any moment. It's a realistic and logical action though. Better just not to be behind them. There are more idiots than we know who don't secure loads properly.
21:29 Oddly enough, a death that was EXTREMELY similar to the one here occurred not even 8 months after the movie's release. A surgical resident at a Houston hospital tried to catch an elevator, but due to some faulty wiring, the doors closed on his shoulders and he was decapitated when it went to go to another floor. Life imitates art in some ways.
This one and Final Destination 5 have the best opening sequences. Final Destination 3's opening is pretty good too. FD3 is good, but it doesn't add much to the series. Still a good one though especially the main person's acting who has the premonition!
Yeah, I actually love the 3rd one, but it does seem pointless to the franchise since it doesn't add anything. It would be a better standalone movie. I did hear that the cop and Kimberley were supposed to be in that movie but couldn't. That would've helped the 3rd movie fit in more
@@patriciaalvareztostado8170 I heard Alex was supposed to be in this movie with Clear, but the actor demanded to be payed more money. So I think the way they killed him off was basically a big “fuck you” to the actor that played Alex lol. Again, that’s just what I heard, not sure if it’s true
@@tmm4195 Could be! Because they need to kill him, and even in a newspaper could have been more creative, but a simple brick, is so lame, and I know KImberly and the Police couldnt be in FD4 but I think was because they were doing other proyects, Aj Cook was al ready working in Criminal Minds for that time.
Final Destination 2’s highway pile-up is said to be inspired by a 125 vehicle pile-up that happened on Interstate 75 in Catoosa County, Georgia, which resulted in the death of 4 people and caused around 40 additional injuries.
Well when someone says they're doing a 180 it means they're turning around and going in the opposite direction. In this case, though, I think it's referring to the reversal of the deaths in the premonitions.
26:42 my favorite shot of you two EVER! 😂😂😂 the shock and horror on your faces! I can't decide between this and the little brat getting smashed by the pane of glass for favorite fate of death in this movie. Certainly the trooper's death in the premonition was the best, but it didn't actually happen.
I just want to say that the truck with the wood or something else behind it became my worst fear after I've watched this movie. I swear, now I'm scared every time i see that type of truck. 😂
I read this great article about the full complement of final destination movies, and how the last movie does a wonderful job of taking what could just be a cheesy horror Gore fest, and creating a very intricate web of storytelling. I'm glad to see you watching the second one, I'll need to rewatch the third one before you do so I can watch you watch it. I haven't seen it in so long, and I wanted to rewatch it anyway since reading that article. This was a lot of fun watching you react to. It's also why I never drive behind any trucks that have ladders or logs or anything that might potentially come at me like a final destination movie.😅 It is said, that this movie changed the driving habits of generations of people.
So, to provide a bit of relief to you guys, I can assure you that logs, if they fall off a truck like that, do not bounce at all. They mainly just roll down. They actually had to use special effects to make the logs bounce like they did when they first fell off the truck. They originally tried to do it with the logs just falling out, but the way they just rolled wasn't satisfying, hence the effect they used to make them bounce. While logs can still be dangerous if they fall off a truck, they will NOT be bouncing into the windshields of cars and stuff like they did here.
This movie is exactly why I and many other people will never ever EVER drive behind a cargo vehicle or truck holding ANYTHING 😃 Also the only reason Carter and Eugene couldn’t do it themselves was because it wasn’t their turn when they tried to do it
Fun fact, the entire highway crash scene was done using practical effects! The only time CGI was implemented was when they needed to put fires in for some of the explosions/to make them bigger than they were irl. Eta: I’m a little irked at the lack of common safety the fireman displayed using the jaws of life. Granted it’s “movie logic” but still! Lol
Actually, they also had to use CGI not only for the logs, because logs don't bounce like that in real life, but they also used cgi to implement the cop's face onto the dummy used in the car during that scene too. But, yeah, for the most part, it did use practical effects!
24:41 i think the only connection with Evan, Tim, and Nora to this is Kimberly’s friends since there are 3 and those three really didn’t have a connection to the first survivors.
I guess this is the connection list: Evan Lewis - Dano Estevez (one of Kimberly's friends) Tim Carpenter - Frankie Whitman (one of Kimberly's friends) Nora Carpenter - Shaina McGordon (also one of Kimberly's friends) And the reason of the reversal of the list was Clear herself. She was the only survivor left from death's list in the first movie, but she committed herself to the Stonybrook Institution after the death of Alex, where she would avoid death for some time before dying after the pileup.
I have a movie recommendation for you to react to: DEVIL (2010), this horror movie that was produced by Shyamalan, which has scary moments and an unexpected ending, is worth checking out.
I do love this one and actually they were originally going to have Alex here too but the actor couldn't do it so they had to write the character out which is a shame because it would be interesting to have both original survivors here but oh well. This one is when they really started to add in the gore facor in the movies which is interesting and like I said the first three are the best then sadly they start to slip and have bad effects at times to in my opinion any way but I am still curious to see what you both think of them. I am not sure what chooses the person who gets the visions but I am assuming that for whatever reason the angels or god or whatever are not happy with who death chooses or how many people are chosen to die and so one person who is the one that would be last to die is chosen to change it and maybe have a chance to make sure death's design as it were never happens but again that is just my take on it because they never do explian that part. Good reaction as always guys and glad you liked the movie.
while this is my least favorite in the franchise i think the storyline is AMAZING the way the people featured in it are alive because the people in the original movie got off the plane and died in other ways
This my favorite of the saga, and of the first three, is the last that I saw, the first that I saw was the 3, and I like it, then I watched the first one and I like too, the 2 past a lot of time and didnt watch until was on tv, and i always watch Criminal Minds, when I saw Aj Cook, in the second movie I was so surprise, and became my favorite. And I didn't like the 4, so the last one i didnt want to want to watched, but is defiantly better than the 4
there's a alternative ending where everyone, if i remember, die at the explosion of the barbecue. i hate the protagonist of this film cause she's so not charismatic uhauahha and also so excited for you to watch the third = the best of the franchise
After killing clara 💔they went down hill from all the films , I get a little bit but only because maybe a lot of people cannot identify what the character like Clara. But she was the only reason why the show was even getting better. Then they killed her off on the sequel part 2 but all the other ones are not even compared like the 1st 2. Sorry I just think you guys deserve to know the truth.
Such a cute and wholesome couple. However, I gotta say - embarrassingly, at first I thought you two were siblings because y'all look so similar... um, oh boy!! 😐 😒 🙄 😬 I am so sorry! I hope that doesn't sound even just a tad bit racist 😬 😅 😂 But yeah, I thought you two were siblings, and I thought he was cute, hoping he was single because... well, yeah, I thought... he was playing for the home team. But I'm so glad I was wrong just because of how adorable you two are together.
