My demo is unlimited I can play it until now. Actually, this game was always free, I never have to pay for it.

Update: It seems my concerns over this game's death were somewhat exaggerated. Not even 24h after posting this users Szymon Rakowski and shauno have both found different methods of bypassing the play limit with little effort. Thanks guys. @AtomicPurple It’s kinda strange, but I’ve just tried running the game on 3 different PCs with 4 different OSes, and it did not lock up on any of them. Despite this, I found out, that changing variable _isOwned in \local_assets\js\main.js in game’s install directory to true, causes the launcher to think, that the game has been bought. If it won’t work in your case, can you upload compressed game install directory, so I can check will your installation lock up for me too?

Unlike most game reviewers who just say "the game sucks because it looks bad and feels crappy", you actually go into detail about why a game is good/bad. You give such precise explanations from a technical standpoint. It's refreshing. Your channel is a gem and deserves so many more subscribers. Second, as someone who does a bit of work with sports media, let me say that your point on media preservation is SO IMPORTANT! It is an absolute pain in the ass trying to find full video footage of certain sporting events, because the powers that be are assholes and won't upload them fully (shout out to MLB for breaking this trend somewhat with their MLB Global channels) and will copyright strike everything. I've come to hate copyright laws, and these days I try to preserve what I can. So, yes, PRESERVE MEDIA! It's crazy how even relatively major events or releases have now gotten lost to time in part because of our broken copyright system.

4th time trying to get my comment through. The game directory has a cab file with the unprotected exe inside. You can extract it, I got it running on wine with no hassles at all. Cracking it is far too much effort otherwise. The config file can also be opened in a text editor to up the FOV, disable motion blur among other things.

It seems like everyone back in the day was trying to copy NFSU lol! 😊👍

Game preservation? Nah, most of the people doesn't know what this means and it's just called piracy (which is sad, because we have lost media problem nowadays because of those kind of people)

i forgot how i used to do this glitch in my childhood but if u observe map use 1st intersection forming a rhombus shape which u go thru tunnels if u manage to crash or respawn over there u will teleport and spawn above the tunnel which there is road overlapping u basically skip half the circuit

You should make a series about obscure odd ms dos games or something

i think they were running out of time before they run out of money so my theory is that they made the demo the full version because they were facing bankruptcy but it is a theory

Whats pretty sad tbh is that even AAA are at risk of being lost in the next 20 years for example the first 2 saints rows sorce codes have also been lost to time

man i used to suck but love playin this game

that wildtangent loading screen and the screen telling you you're out of free sessions brings back so many memories. i used to look forward to a trip to staples because it meant i could play these games there. some time about 10/12 years ago we got a windows 7 laptop and i was able to play final drive fury on it for free, it never ran out of free plays or anything

This and Nitro were the two first games I've ever played when I was 2-3 years old, along with that one pinball game.

Speaking of the demo, have you tried using Linux with Wine to play it? Because if it works, you can then create a new prefix to launch the game like it's new.

BROOOO I remember playing this game around like 2006-2007 😭😭 My dads computer (the one he had at that time) was hella old and it would freeze up and not work almost every time I tried playing it and he would get pissed at me lol good times
