Awh mon.... I am 28 years of age. Played FF for the first time a little before my preteen years... The Nostalgia is impacting my heart so much I feel warm joyous tears...incredible how such a material can have such a strong resonation with someone...I currently live in Germany. @@huslethal It's a transcendent piece of media. Voice Acting, Scenarios, Graphics, Scene transitions. This game never pulls you out of the world. Gameplay loop is fun. World building is great. I felt for all characters. Highly recommend. People complaining about the ending were not paying attention. The story beats a littered all over the chapters culminating in the crescendo that is the end.

Been playing FFX Remastered. This game has otherworldly art direction. I spent extra time studying and admiring the weaves and tapestries lining the huts on Besaid. The color patterns create the illusion of great space inside these huts. The colorful rugs and jugs make them feel homely, and the natural sunlight blaring through the door-less entrances connect you to the outside world so that you don't feel isolated inside. The rounded architecture of the huts allows for an abundance of interior furnishings without crowding the space. Living on an island let's them fish and grill food outdoors so they don't need a dedicated kitchen, and they probably use the wilderness as a bathroom. In modern society, the simple addition of a secondary out-hut would suffice in accommodating those needs. I played this game through a few times when I was a youngin but I can tell I'll be appreciating this play through in a new way than I did before.

Besaid Isle was one of my favorite zones just for the music. still is I remember turning the game on and taking the airship there just to listen to the music while I cleaned my room. This remix gives me that same cheesy smile that makes me want to fake laugh just to get others to smile.

Those opening sounds... I heard them while I was doing something else, and something deep in my soul said 'STOP. STOPSTOPSTOP. YOU KNOW THIS.' I look up and sure enough, it's the Sony and original PlayStation sounds that I've heard literally thousands of times, starting two decades ago and well into the early 2000's. I had to actually stop and let it wash over me how very nostalgic those were, but how I never paid them any attention at the time. Hearing those now is like a Pavlovian response to pay attention and take in everything on the screen, even after more than fifteen years. We played that old PS1, PS2, and FF7, 8, 9, 10, X-2 to death to the point that we had to replace both machines twice and some of the games. While I'm glad I'm not a kid anymore, there is a part of me that wants back that first time, that early wonder, and those hours spent watching my brother play.

Thank you for making this. That was a pleasant segue for me, considering all the darkness I am accustomed to feeling. This was so beautiful, with the two piano tunes as the introduction. Almost made me want to cry a bit. The whole FF thing isn't even a necessity to enjoying the music here, because it stands strong without the association. Well done.

Kids these days just don't understand how that ps1 startup sound brings the memories back and brings such a warmth feeling like you've just came home. Turn on a ps4 these days the BEEP just wont do that for you. Having the PS1 plugged into the speakers. Feeling the glow from the CRT. Feeling the vibration of the powerful mysterious start up sound. It just does not compare.
