By far this is the best story of any ff I have played and I played all of ff games but after the ending I don’t think I have it in me to play it again the ending was just……. Heart..br..eaking
Unlike you did new game plus and damn being stronger even in FF mode it’s just freaking fun man it’s so fun I want to do a 3rd play through, the story is just, it’s just awesome and Dion might be my favorite side character in a video game
@@scaryhours2220 Dion is the example of how you make a strong character first then yeah he’s gay but he is strong and does his duty to the people he protects why doesn’t Hollywood pay attention to this
The ending confused me so much, does Clive & Joshua die or did one or both live? Who actually wrote the book in the post credits. Loved the story up to that ambiguous ending which I hate. Was I asleep, how did the Fallen factor into this, were they Ultima's people?
Ultima Weapon, in fact, can not be crafted at the beginning of NG+. You unlock the recipe through a quest early on, but need endgame materials to actually forge it, which makes the weapon only accessible during the final stretch of FF mode. As it should be, since this weapon would make the harder difficulty utterly redundant.
not really matches regular game since higher hp of enemies. ultima weapon does nothing game breaking. weapin for looks only. 225 more dmg means zero if bosses have triple hp and even harder bosses
New game plus Final Fantasy mode is worth it. When I got rushed by a bull dude in the Intro Forest, I was done. Not sure its random though, if it is thats a no brainwer
This game is incredible. Don’t listen to the nerds that are crying about it! Square didn’t have the technology to bring a game of this capacity to its size in the past so that’s why their games were how they were but this is truly setting the standard for future games of this genre to build upon. Remember they are developing KH which means new combat on a next gen platform. We can expect it to be an evolved version of this game (masterpiece)
No, they didn’t have the technology back then to make a game of this calibre, which is why they were overall better. They didn’t rely on heavy cinematics but leaned more on story telling and character development. I loved 16, but it was too heavy on the cinematics and light on the content. Not to mention the crafting materials were pretty much useless.
That was my go to combo, once staggered id drop the the rod ball, activate limit break then gigaflare. Then judgement bolt. Then zanketsu that i pre got to lvl 5. Most times limit break just misses out when using it or just gets used in time.
First play through which I just completed (listening to the awesome credits music right now) got me to level 49 and 102 hours play time. I loved every minute of it. However I don't think I'll play it again for a long time. Too many other games to get through now. I'll probably pick it up when it comes to PC in the future - the ultimate version.
Dude you read my mind. This is one of the major concerns for me as well, as in the combats sometimes you can barely see your character or even the enemy due to these numbers and other particle effects. I hope this may get sorted out in the PC port. Let's see
Do you have to do the side quests again in NG+? I’m currently midway on the game and boy, delivering apples and stew is a sure way to die of boredom. 😢
I'm in the minority but after i finish the story i don't have that push anymore i move onto other triple As. By then i already know the experience of that particular game. Maybe if i don't have much of a backlog than ya... Maybe tho.. This game was freaking awesome btw rollercoaster ride of a movie
Can you go back and complete side quests if you've beaten the game? Cause I would rather finish the main quest line first and go back to the side quests later.
I feel like new game plus should have just been a difficulty setting that you can put on first play through as I played with no rings and in action mode I didn’t feel challenged at all as an action game veteran I got bored with enemies and skipped them for hunts instead
What do people like u have to blow there own horn like ur the best and u found it boring cause ur this and that? Is cringe mate 😂 is an awesome game and u defo found it a challenge.
Do new game plus after you collect everything you want because you can reforge weapons and accessories to get double their effects like the genji gloves and berserker ring in your second play through and you’re gonna need two of the item
I can hardly get myself to play through this again after witnessing the horrible ending. Great story and game but, the ending we got just destroyed replay for me.
Bro it’s an open ending you can choose if he died or not. But there’s a theory that because Jill smiles in the end because the dawn is coming, the wish she made to the “mitia ” is now granted. So he is still there on the coast but only his hand is effected or something. And there should be an DLC with leviathan. Maybe 😂 but I agree with u I was a little bit disappointed as well
@@rschmidt93my friend it is a open ending bc you need to understand how the curse works, it works when you keep on using magic at the expense of your life force, however Clive fingers were turned to stone and his hand only turned after he tried to use another spell. The curse wouldn’t of taken a further effect bc magic no longer existed at the point of Clive being on the beach, plus Jill was affect by the curse yet she’s alive, so it’s very possible that Clive survived the ending and went back to everyone , when he wrote the book final fantasy and used Joshua’s name as his alias for being a author to immortalise him. So you don’t need to feel empty bc he’s alive and I’ll die on that hill.
@@admiralalbion2279 I agree because in the game you see bearers with partial petrification including Cid himself (it's on his arm). I recall seeing a lady who was heating the coal for the blacksmith that was partially petrified too.
Currently on my first playthrough. I've played mostly in Action Mode but for a few times to get through a tedious boss or farming. I never intended to play NG+ or for that matter on FF Mode but since I've now gotten a lot more confident at level 41 and since the rewards re upgrades and new stuff for FF mode I do intend now to so do. My enjoyment with the game had been mixed. Let me explain. For a good while I thought it was just too much fast paced button smashing and button combinations including having to keep in mind which Eikonic trees and abilities to activate at given times. More familiar now including much stronger at level 41 and going forward, as I got stronger I've really begun to enjoy the game much more so I intend to keep on playing. One criticism though. There are too many cutscenes and most of them are very long.
Before starting new game plus should we buy everything or save the money for new game plus? For example most of the non purple swords I didn’t purchase really most things I didn’t purchase since we are given the best stuff after main story parts so I now finished and am wondering if it’s something I should do before starting ng+ or can we cary over our money and have the option to purchase the same stuff in ng+? Also can you start a diferent new game plus after u choose final fantasy mode if you want to play it in a easier mode?
If you did ALL of the content including side quests, Hunts, and main story, you should have 500k gil or more which is easily enough to buy everything you didn't get yet without putting yourself in the poor house. That way in NG+ you can buy another one in the next playthrough and merge them to make higher level gear
Is new game plus worth it? I did everything in my first play through and had fun but feel exhausted from forcing myself through all the ‘side quests’ (errands). I never want to play those again.
I've been loving the game so far but I can already tell that I'm going to be done with the game once the credits roll. "Play the game again" isn't thrilling post game content to me.
You can carry it over to yet another play through if you want to have it from the beginning. At the moment it’s a niche craft since it really only has a use against the final boss (unless you decide for 3+). Mind you, there is about a 0 chance that Square won’t release DLC even if it’s just more hunts and there is certain to be some high level fights that the Ultimate weapon will make a decent difference. Having said that, they will also likely release more items that may surpass the UW but it would make a good interim option none the less. With the success of the title thus far and the team behind it, I would be really surprised if this, at minimum, doesn’t take place. I mean, you can’t have a FF game about Eikon’s and not include Leviathan- esp considering it’s plastered on a lot of the art / murals.
@@starchild1773 no you can’t. If you select story or action mode it only shows your first (up to level 50) play through save file to select. if you choose FF mode it allows you to select from any save file that has completed the game (ie original run or NG+ run)
You can tell this is just fluff content and not content from someone who played the game... "Craft Ultima Weapon"... then "Complete All Hunts" - although you done need to "complete" the hunts the hardest hunts are completed before even crafting this weapon.... "Final Fantasy Mode - enemy placement is random" - nope, its predetermined you just face harder enemies earlier than normal
I literally lol when you said “the games complex combat system” what’s complex about a devil may cry style, no magic, no status effects, no need to plan for a battle. It’s literally just hack and slash lol
@@gateauxq4604in all honesty there really isnt any challenge in this as much as there were in other FF games, the game largely is bullet sponge type enemies where you just mash R1 till a skills cool downs and then use the skill and then mash R1 again I think FF15 and FF7 style combat was more engaging and diverse then FF16 overall, not a huge turn base fan but I liked the challenge of the extra status effects like poison petrafication, blindness etc, plus companion control and such. FF16 is still a final fantasy game with all its story and quest designs but jus the combat is kinda meh
That’s a stupid thing to say. That’s like saying you don’t have a reason to eat Pizza ever again after eating it the first time. If you like something, you’re most likely going to experience it more than once.
@@gumbi5612 except I literally been doing nothing but the most boring fetch quests bored out of mind for the 6 hours after the boring titan battle today.
It is a bait game. You expect after several hours the open areas have more to them than just the odd pointless chest in them. Theres 0 exploration and itemization is almost none existent. Which is almost core in every final Fantasy game ever. The combat doesn't get more advanced u get more eikons sure but it's the same strat u use titan to counter until they stagger then blow your 3 alts when there down. Even god of war is more rpg than this with it's set gear and weapons....
