I never comment on videos. This man's guides are so f****n' amazing. THANK YOU! I've platinumed games like Demon's Souls (PS3 & PS5), Dark Souls 3, Sekiro, Bloodborne, and Elden Ring. I've beaten every boss in the Soulsborne series, and I can unequivocally say I would NOT have be able to beat these challenges as quickly as I did without your guides, Opti. That being said these guides will give you the HOW of the challenges, but you have to fabricate the WHO. Pausing the game and following the guide got me through to about 15% on Odin on my first run. It then took me another 8 hours of retrying to finally beat it. 1) Be patient with yourself. Understand it will take time. Don't give up, but give yourself a break if you find yourself getting worse (it will happen and its okay.) 2) Learn and commit the first 9 fights to memory as soon as you can. It will help you with subsequent retries. 3) Use the Odin (Full Might) 1v1 with Cloud Combat Sim to practice the final phase without having to spend 11 mins to get there (and learn things like when Odin does Spatial Distortion, if there is cyberpunk effects on the floor, then get to the other side of the wall before it becomes impermeable or else you will take Damage over Time.) 4) Commit hard to your Prime Mode attack cycles and learn what damage you can take (that you will then heal up with your Aeroga), and what attacks you can afford to Prime Mode block-counter (underrated). Also, what attacks to quickly dodge out of (anything with a "/!\", Sleipnir's Furor, Charge). 5) YOU. GOT. THIS. Opti gave you the map, but you have to condition yourself to get over the terrain. It will take time. It will be rewarding when you get there, and you WILL get there. You got this. Congratulations when you do, because you have earned it.
Thank you I needed to hear this! I just finished to be a hero with optinoobs guide. And they got me through a few hard mode story fights. Just need this one to finally platinum it. Could’ve never done it without these guides.
I made cliff notes that helped me out so I didn't have to keep rewatching specific parts of the video. Thank you opti!! THANK YOU for doing this! I also work much faster off of notes, and you saved me a ton of effort! You helped me get the win just now just as much as Opti did.
This just helped me out today. I had been determined to not watch guides really. After 20 titan fights, and 10 bahamut fights or so, I ended up here. The video helped a lot, but I still had trouble. These notes and my notes added to them got me to Odin finally. I was really worried about Odin after all I read, but I absolutely destroyed him first try. I don't know how much was luck but I'll take it. Thanks guys.
A few days ago, I thought obtaining the platinum trophy was absolutely out of my reach, and tonight, I’ve just obtained it. And all thanks to you! Thank you for helping me appreciate that game even more !
This challenge utterly BROKE me, if it wasn't for you posting these, I'd still be stuck on the first Brutal challenge. You have been an absolute saviour in helping a lot of people obtain platinum and I am one of those - finally after 179 hours and literal tears. Seriously. Thank you so much Opti - may your steel foreskin guide you
I did it, after TEN HOURS of trying I finally fucking did it last night. Opti, I'm telling you, I wanted to cry tears of joy. In over ten years of trophy hunting, I've never felt such agony trying to obtain Platinum - Bonds of Friendship is easily one of the hardest challenges I've ever conquered as a gamer. I can't even take all the credit though because I used your amazing guide, but even with that it was still excruciatingly difficult. I cannot thank you enough for these outstanding guides, man. I did the first five Brutal challenges with my own build but I categorically refused to attempt Ruler of the Outer Worlds and the Legendary Bouts without a proper guide. Without you, I definitely would've given up on this Platinum, so I just subscribed to your Patreon to show my support.
Congrats. Any tips ? To help us do his strategy even if we f ed up some steps, what do u think helped u the most in ur own experience with his strategy
@@aali4726 Thanks. Yes I do have a couple tips actually: 1. When Odin casts Spatial Distortion, make sure you're in the middle of the arena so that you can quickly move over to the non-electrifying side with your partner. Also, when he gets close to about a quarter health, switch to Zack because he's about to cast Temporal Imprisonment and start building up ATB to cast Manawall on Cloud, Healing, Haste, etc. If all those effects are already applied just try to damage and pressure him as much as possible before he subdues Zack. I cast Fira a couple times and surprisingly that pressured him quite a bit. Doing this will also take his attention off Cloud. 2. To speed things up with the Mindflayer, I recommend doing the synergy ability to pressure him. Obviously, all you gotta do is get to Synergy Level 3 which will happen naturally with Cloud but you gotta make sure to cast two additional ATB actions with Zack; whenever Cloud is casting Aeroga, simply switch to Zack to quickly build up one ATB. I suggest Manawall then Haste on Cloud. Now when he goes to do his next Psychotic Break, use the synergy ability to cancel the attack and pressure him - this'll speed up things up a lot.
I destroyed both of Alexander's arms right away and when I did I ran behind him like you did and he just did a 180° turn and shot me with something and killed me.....
This is the last trial I need to get the trophy. I’ve lost count how many times I’ve tried this - but thanks to this guide, I can get to round 9 (Bahamut) most of the time. Occasionally I can make it to round 10 (Odin), and on my last run I got Odin down to 30% health. Slow but steady progress - hopefully one day soon I’ll be able to crack it Thanks so much for this guide, it has been invaluable so far! EDIT: And with that - after about 20 hours of dedication - it’s finally done! It was a clutch victory against Odin (thanks to Zack’s limit break at the last second before death). Now on to Temple of the Ancients, and the Platinum - full steam ahead!
Did you get it in the end? I am pretty much the same; most times I can get to Odin but then he gets me. Even when he casts spatial distortion, for some reason he doesn't go on to cast the temporal spell. What's going on? Which of his abilities other than the one mentioned in the video can't be blocked in prime mode please?
Putting Odin at the end of this challenge was absolutely brutal. I think someone hurt Nomura and he's taking it out on us. Thanks a bunch for helping me get through it and all the other brutal/legendary stuff.
same here. then I went to fight just him (full power) and only with Cloud to learn how to block and dodge his attacks (blocking is better since it pressures him much faster in primal mode). I spent 10 minutes doing this and beat him the first time I fought him in Bonds of Friendship :D
Got all the way to Odin on the first try following this guide, lost to him and then got stuck on Titan and Hueyacoatl for a half dozen tries, then got back to Odin on the next try and beat him. Thank you for taking the time not only to explain what you're doing, but also why you're doing it and when -- truly makes it easy.
Just finished these last two legendary bouts last night using almost exactly the same strat. Found another youtuber doing the same build. However, they didn't use Stop on most of the enemies that were susceptible to it. Anyways, I used your guides for most of the solo fights and I just wanted to say thanks. Also, I love how you explain your reasonings behind certain builds and go over the encounters step-by-step. Keep up the good work!
I’ve actually already completed this and Sephiroth, but I was still waiting for you to drop this guide. I’m so glad you even mentioned Weapon Level 9 lol, cause everyones posting there guides at level 10 and not mentioning it. You’re the king of this game lol. Everyone on RU-vid wants to put “easy” on their guides, but your guides are comprehensive and truly the only easy guides, even the worst player can complete a challenge if they followed your guides. You earned the subscribe and likes. Amazing guides always Optinoob 10/10
There is a weapon level 10?? So 9 isnt even the max level??? Yea, 'Easy' is clickbaited a lot nowadays, same with the term 'Walkthrough' which are basically Playthroughs not walk
@@Optinooby Oh, I thought you could get your weapon to 10! If it’s only 9 that makes sense then. I’m still working on my hard mode play through because of work, so I’m still at 8. 9 gives a significant damage boost to weapons tho when I look at the “Next level Upgrade” 100% agree! very clickbaity. Either way, we all know you’re always going to come through with amazing guides! Hope you blow up, you deserve it.
I have the platinum now and it’s largely in thanks to these amazing videos. I appreciate how thorough each one I’ve watched has been for each of these VR missions. I was able to beat this one and the Sephiroth one in 2 tries each with these builds. I made it to Odin both of my failed attempts and he rofl stomped me but the second try I played more aggressively and it was a breeze. Thanks a ton man keep up the great content I’ll definitely be watching more videos if you cover a game I’m playing.
Finally beat this to get the platinum. I can’t thank you enough for all you videos that got me here. After a week of trying this I finally got it. Before round 9 and 10 I paused and took 5 minutes to watch your fight and relax. Really helped.
There is NO better guide for a beginner play through. There just isn't. this build (which I saw another creator use) is OP for this bout and your tips are just 100/10 mate. A tip I have for anyone doing Odin in this bout is do not panic at any point. I did that and it cost me my first two tries. Calm and collected and doing what you do in this guide got me through. Bravo, mate. Bravo.
Looking forward to trying this one out, you make it look so easy! Really appreciate you breaking down the builds and strats while going through each round, most RU-vidrs just smash out the challenge and do a basic breakdown! Keep up the good work man 👍
@@kingkazma3246 AGREED!!! I remember when reaching level 99 in a Final Fantasy game made you OP and you could breeze through any challenge with one hit kills. That was your reward for level grinding dozens of hours. This is a pain even at level 70 with mastered materia across the board!
Wow bro, what an excellent way of showing how the build works. I was struggling with this challenge for 2 days with other guides. And did it first try with your vid.. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🔥🔥🔥
Thank you for the guide. I managed to beat this challenge after maxing out my weapon level at 9. For those wondering what the difference in stats is, Optinoob's "Attack" at weapon level 8 is 287, at level 9 it is 297 (not a great difference) BUT "Magic Attack" increases from 468 to 499 which is indeed substantial. (All other stats of the Rune Blade remain the same)
When Odin imprisons one of your characters, you can get out of it by using a synergy ability! I've literally just scraped by and managed to beat Odin first attempt! Great guide, just one more challenge to go!
If you limit break is up you can use your limit break just in case you have cloud selected when he does temporal imprisonment. I'm sure synergy ability will work too but I know limit break for sure will resit the stop.
Bro, I was really about to give up on the platinum trophy because of this challenge. I even switched to playing other games. But then I stumbled upon your video, and it reignited my hope. Although it took quite a bit of time, I finally did it! I just got the platinum trophy! Thank you so much, your tutorial was incredibly detailed and effective!
Hey I don’t normally comment but your guides on rebirth have been absolutely phenomenal, some of the best guides in general I’ve ever seen. I can tell the time you put into them as I’ve seen others use similar strategies to the ones you present but yours are always more precise and foolproof no doubt from your knowledge of the game as well as the many attempts you’ve done off camera. Hope your channel explodes my friend, you deserve it!
@@Optinoobyit's true, your videos are literally the best I've seen. The fight methods, precise narrating, nothing else like it from what I've found and watched. You definitely deserve more likes and subscribers
I finally did it man, I got my platinum. Your guides got me through every one of these challenges. Never seen a better guide series, thank you for all you did, I couldn’t have done it without yah!
You are a LEGEND, sir!!! It took me about 15 or so attempts, but your guides are now the only ones I look for! Absolutely brilliant. Well-explained. And definitely doable! Keep up the great work, Optinoob! Now on to “To Be a Hero!”
I have no issues with the difficulty level being high. It’s having to go through 9 rounds to reach the final round again and again that ruins it. Very, very poorly designed.
This and then also being forced to watch all of those "in-fight cutscenes" like Phoenix reviving Kujata. To be fair, they mostly happen in the campaign (the final fight with Sephiroth is ridiculous with these), but still, come the fuck on Square, I don't need to watch the same animations over and over and over.
I don’t normally comment on videos but all your strats have kept me sane trying to complete all the brutal/legendary bouts. You have earned my sub and I thank you!!!
Finally managed to beat this challenge after many many hours stuck on Odin. Many times when I’d see Odin only having a little bit of health I’d keep rushing him instead of staying calm and kept dying lol. Thanks very much for this awesome guide.
Finally got it ! Odin is such a pain... I added 1 level of difficulty: try doing while your cat switches the TV off in the middle of Odin fight at the few last hits, you know that moment you are so into it... "Wait did my console just went off or just the TV?? Why?? Pooh that cat !! 😺" Thanks for the video 🎉
I just came here to subscribe and say THANK YOU FOR USING TACTICAL in these guide videos. The amount of content creators using the term "Guide" in their titles who input actions so quickly I have to slow down the video is beyond annoying. Thank you!
Friend! Thanks to you I was able to get the trophy from the Chadley challenges. I'm coming from The Seventh Heal. I don't usually comment much, but this deserves recognition for the great help you've given us. You've earned yourself a subscriber, a friend, even a blood donor if you want! Thanks!
Just came to say thanks for all your videos, got me through the tough ones. Had this mostly figured out after watching another video. How you commentate makes all the difference though to really help clarify those little details. Your work is irreplaceable!
I want to say a HUGE thank you for helping me with this platinum. I watched all of your brutal and legendary combat simulator guides and it helped me so much. I wouldn’t have done it with you, you’re the man!! THANK YOU
I'm so tired of this Platinum. It's not even fun anymore. I feel physically and mentally tired. I don't know if I can keep going. I just need to finish Story Hard Chapter 14 and the last 2 Legendary Challenge. Still, I feel like I want to just.. stop.
Your guides are phenomenal and so accessible. It’s hard to prepare materia until you know what you’re up against and you don’t know what you’re up against until you’ve miserably slogged your way through the gauntlet. You’ve saved me so much agonising trial and error. I didn’t mind this one as much because Zack predetermines half the build, making you somewhat optimised.
You are a golden God. These guides literally saved me so many hours of trial and error. Not ashamed that I used them. Awesome video my man; you have the honour of a true SOLDIER.
Again you knocked it out of the park and saved me so much miserable frustration. I can’t thank you enough for these guides man, I’m a bit older now and don’t have as much time to beat my head against a wall so I gotta say I truly appreciate all your effort and the time it took to make this Owe my plat to you, you have my eternal gratitude 🙏
@@ironknuckb I ended up completing it earlier yesterday after editing the class a little bit, only the sephiroth fight left but i still thank you for the encouragement 🤝
@@newbalance5250 I DID complete the sephiroth one... i still have yet to complete the zack one (on try 80), the sephiroth one is alot easier, jus know how to do sephiroths dash n spam tech (theres videos on that) but i cant do the zack one,, these monsters are too dayum OP and zacks such a lil b**** he spends more time on his back than meek mill at a p diddy meeting, I have a good strategy but im too busy keeping zacks p** a** alive
These guides are superb and have helped me get through these challenges. Currently stuck with the Cloud / Zack challenge; I've fought Odin like 5-6 times and just can't beat him! Still appreciate your guides as I feel he is very beatable with your build and strategy!
THANK YOU OPTINOOB!!!! Was honestly stuck on Odin for so long... but i kept at it with your guide... Thank you, definitely one of the hardest FF7 challenges out
For those who are wondering: Rulers of the Outer Worlds are tougher than Bonds of Friendship!!! So, if you managed to beat the Rules, YOU CAN DO IT!!! Just keep trying and don’t give up!
I’ve found every guide up to this point helpful. For whatever reason the bosses just do not behave at all like they do in your video. Even the first fight against titan I find that 25% of the time Zach doesn’t even have a full ATB bar to cast. I try and implement the basics of what you’ve shown when there’s a surprise twist- but the randomness of the boss move set right out of the gate sometimes makes it feel impossible. I’ll keep trying - and hopefully just get good.
Same for me.. Titan Strat works maybe 10% of the time, and none of the other have ever worked for me, and cloud runs out of mana for me despite having the exact setup
This guide was really great. Keep up the good work, man! For anyone struggling, it really helped me to beat the one with Sephiroth first because Sephiroth is broken so it's easier and less frustrating to learn how to fight against Phoenix, Kujata, Alexander, Bahamut and Odin and also to learn how to use prime mode, since having Sephiroth alongside you means you can probably make some mistakes while still learning and get away with it. It REALLY helps to know the bosses, and once you get the gist of it you can pretty much beat them all up to Odin way more consistently. Also, beating the one with Sephi gets you weapon level 9, which really makes the difference. With the "trade off" ability, the stat boost, and having learn most of the fight patterns already, this bout became much more manageable. I think it took me like 15-20 tries to beat the one with Sephiroth, while this one, which is admittedly harder, only took me 4-5 tries. Also, try to use any opportunity to build ATB with Zack and further buff Cloud with Haste/Manawall, really makes a difference since you depend on casting Aerogas as fast as possible.
Just wanted to say, your videos helped me get through all of these hellish post game combat simulator challenges (this one was my final one to do, and I got it last night with this guide, along with using all of your other guides for the Brutal and Legendary challenges), and you won a subscribe from me as a result - holy cow man you have been a blessing for my road to platinum. All I have left is my Hard Mode run and I've got it, which I'm going to fully utilize your videos for those to also do. Once again, thank you so much - you made all of this way more bearable with these builds and strategies!
Again, great guide and I feel like you deserve the credit on these videos. Took about 5 attempts but its mostly because I never used Prime Mode and was not familiar with blocking/countering. My tips here are for Bahumat and Odin. Everyone else can be played relatively the same: Faith on Cloud, Cloud Prime Mode and Fury up. Aero3 when you can. Manawall Cloud with Zack. Rinse and repeat. These were my big notes from your guide outside specific details such as Kujata and Mindflayer For Bahumat, you saved your ATB almost exclusively for the wings. I did not realize this and kept scrambling to build up ATB when the wings were out. Transform seems to trigger three attacks regardless of the form but his wings will come out afterwards. Because I burned my ATB asap, there was one instance I forced Neo transformation earlier than expected. Your approach makes it much more consistent. Save ATB to burn wings, once preasured ATB to Aero3, then build back ATB to save for wings. Rinse and repeat. NEO eventually transformed and depending on pressure, your recommendation to block everything is the safest strat. Manawall prior For Odin, your explanation about Spatial Distortion to Temporal Imprisonment saved me so much headaches from my previous attempt. I didnt know how to manage this initially. Also, using limit break has a timing to dodge it properly. This may require practice. Also resist didn’t prevent it. Let Zack eat the imprisonment since Cloud can sustain damage when casting Aero3. Because of my lack of familiarity for blocking/countering in Prime Mode, I died a few times because of it. Resetting the block/counter is great for ATB. Doesnt involve much practice but this may be helpful for anyone else. You can reset based on sound. The counter audio will trigger, time will slightly slow down, and then you repress+hold R1. Especially in his later phases where there are multiple attacks, this is what made me defeat Odin. Thanks again, this was the last challenge I needed and have officially platinum trophied the game last night. I have completed all the play log and am only short of S-ranking the piano music sheets. Im terrible at rhythm games. Goodluck to everyone else!
@@tbrandy1405 Right! For the trophy but the completionist in me would love to S-Rank all but im terrible at these types of games. I was able to A-rank everything for trophy. After collecting the ****last music sheet*** .... I got a C-rank and not even going to try it any further
Completed! 1st try. After training vs Odin and Bahamut for 1h in the simulations. Thank you so much for your guides!!! Beat almost them all on 1st try. Now onto hard mode lap, I don't think it'll be harder than this.
Finally someone with common sense to actually go practice the fights! Thankyou for not complaining making excuses about the game like 90% of the other comments.
I didnt need to practice because when I fought odin he killed me enough times to where I had his perfect block timing down. If anything bahamut gave me more trouble. I first tried odin
@@kaycex1during the normal fight I've seen his Zantetsukan go off VERY early, after only 2 or 3 hits. But this challenge one never did that for me. Parrying with Prime mode is absolutely key to this fight. If you can do it consistently he will stagger super fast and then just blow him away. I'd also recommend holding onto your limit break for the end. It's a great panic button if you're getting pressure while Zach is napping.
I don't usually comment on videos but your guides, particularly for Chapter 14 Hard Mode boss fights and the last few Brutal/Legendary battles were Godsends! You gave us all the "how" and we have to put it together and make it happen. After finally getting Cloud's weapons to level 9, I came back and crushed Bonds of Friendship on the first try!! Thank you! 😊
Thank you so much for the detailed guide for all the Legendary & Brutal Sims. I just got my Platinum trophy today all thanks to you. I'm looking forward to checking your guide again for the FF7 3rd Installment. It was the most difficult trophy in the FF Verse and I only managed to get it all thanks to your guide. Keep up the great work!
I just gave up. I lost 4 times with Odin and that was enough for me. I completed everything (including the whole play log) in this stupid game and I just can't beat this one. It's exhausting starting from the beginning again and again. Still, you got me to round 9 man, thank you for your guides, you're the real MVP. Edit: just tried it one more time and got it. I guess I was very frustrated and wasn't playing correctly (RNG also doesn't help).
Took a break for a month after hard mode & came back on the 7th month and finally got the platinum today! Couldnt have done it without you. Cheers mate!
Did it on my fourth try, I always seem to mess up on Neo Bahamut. Got the Trophy, now all I have to do is the piano songs, after my new controller arrives, because the two I have suffer a serious stick drift. Your guides were and are invaluable. To anyone who has doubts about themselves follow the guides, they work, flawlessly.
Even using your awesome guide, I just managed to beat this beast!! My hands are literally shaking… Took me about 20 or so tries and a total of three days (can only play around 2-3 hours per day) but I did it! Now I’ve got the final legendary bout and the final chapter on hard mode and it’s platinum city!!
For anyone struggling with this one with a level 8 weapon like I was, finish hard mode and do the Sephiroth and Cloud VR first to get to weapon level 9. After many failed attempts on this one before watching this tutorial, I followed the one for Sephy, completed it first time then completed this one on my second attempt with a fully levelled sword. Amazing work again mate. No idea how long this would have taken me without your videos. Finally got my platinum trophy.
I never finished the game in hard mode and I'm having trouble beating this challenge so I'll follow your advice and finish hard mode and get weapon level 9 first and then I'll try again. Alexander is kicking my ass almost every time, and the only few times I beat him the next monster killed me. Thank you.
I can't believe it. I finally beat it after about 20 tries. I think was finally helped when I was about to quit was leaving this one alone for a bit and beating To Be a Hero first. The Sephiroth build is slightly easier and I think it helped me practice Bahamut and Odin for this one. Thank you so much Optinoob! Without your guides I would have lost my sanity for sure. I have honestly never been this turned off by a game's post game content before. It has really soured the entire game to me at this point. I loved Remake so much when it came out. It was the first Final Fantasy I ever played and got me hooked immediately. I was looking forward to Rebirth coming out for so long and was so excited. Now I can't help but feel disappointed at how much this post-game content made me hate this game. Hopefully when I replay it in about year and can ignore hard mode and the legendary/brutal simulators, I can go back to enjoying the game. But at this point I am so burnt out. Even though I've beaten it now, I truly hope they nerf these final challenges to some degree. It is not fun. It is insulting to the player to abuse their time and dedication like that. That's it, rant over. Thank you if you read this far. I really want to love the game. I WOULD love the game if the developers treated the players who want to 100% it with more respect.
Thank you so much for all your video guides of this game, Opti! This challenge is the last thing I have left for a platinum (I did Sephy’s challenge first to get that lvl 9 weapon skill), and I owe nearly all of my success to you. Thanks again, brother!
I just physically cannot do this one. Thank you for the guides. You have got me further than i would have ever got. I reached Odin twice and Bahamut 3 times but this is in way too may attempts. If the chellenge would just tick itself i would walk away from it happily. its way too overtuned for an action RPG where variables are always different. Some rounds Titan is docile and you can do the strat, other times hes just an absolute menace, ive died in round 1 a few times. The bird in round two is the same issue. Rounds 3-8 i can get through ok. The 3 times i got to bahmut 1 time he felt easy and he laid off me a bit but it followed by Odin who just spammed cleave attacks and was 10 times more active than the odin in this video for example he was insane. The 2nd time i had zero MP because bahmut just would not die the round before. Its just different every single time. There has to be another way surely. I will do absolutely any cheese to get rid of this. Its not fun, its not enjoyable and who ever signed this off to make this version of the game needs to be shot. Like why 10 rounds? 5 rounds with the summons would have been okay, more chances to get the rounds your stuggling on.
I agree mate, its a bit too much isnt it. Just some extra tips, Round 1 is very consistent for me, if you're failing in that sometimes, its because you're just a little too slow at times. Round 2 is definitely a little RNG depending on what attacks the birdy does, though mostly 8/10 times it will work according to plan. With Bahamut and MP, you could use Zacks synergy earlier to get infinite MP, same with the Odin fight. Bahamut can sometimes activate Neodrive early, not sure exactly, think its related to damage done, wings clipped, pressured damaged etc, but if you're always ready to evade each mode the way I advise, that normally works out for me, but I do usually always have to adapt a little because he pretty much always does Neodrive at different moments. And for Odin, yea sometimes it can appear to go completely wrong from the start, you need to get good at being mega aggressive and being ready to dodge/counter each attack in between your own attacks as well, having a limit break ready to bypass Imprisonment is quite useful, counter in Prime Mode is good as well for building Limit Break and Stagger quicker. Its good to practise Bahamut and Odin in the summon fights on Full Might with only Cloud using the same build (but maybe put Empowerment on him as well for Faith).
@Optinooby yeah. Usually I'm a grinder on games like this but this is too much this one 😂 I'll find someone who's got it down eventually and just let them share play it 😂
I hate Titan so much. He gives me the most trouble every time I've tried it. Only once was I able to pressure him before Stop wore off. I try to dodge his attack just to get stun locked by his combo, somehow. Doesn't even look like he makes contact. I swap character to hopefully take the pressure off who he is targeting.. But he just continues to hammer away at them anyway even if I'm hitting him in the back. Odin, my problem with him I think is my own ability. I'm very bad at timing a block so he sweeps the floor with me. He is so aggressive at times (like Bahamut) that I simply can't keep up. I do not find these challenges fun, if there was some kind of check point at round 5 maybe that would be better.
@@CiarlaArt yeah I agree. Or the shear fact there's only two of you. It's weird how two supersoldiers struggle doing this but yuffie and Aerith can destroy everything together. All the materia you've levelled up the entire game (171 hours for me) you can't use and equip on zack. So you've just got one character where the only guarenteed fight is Phoenix. Kujata is like Titan too sometimes I'll cast Faith on cloud, ATB boost and Prime, switch to cloud and he just goes mental changes to lighting starts juggling me in the air even though the hit box is way off and it's end of run. I had a perfect run yesterday up until Mindflayer and Zack at full health just died for standing in the lightning and the AI didn't block. I've tried taking Cloud in with revive but it doesn't work, once cloud has faith and prime and gets killed its difficult to get zacks ATB up to Arise cloud and get back to that position again while bahmut is just relentlessly smashing you. If it was Optional then great but they have gone and locked a Trophy behind it, and me personally I have now stopped playing the game, havent done Hard mode because I wanted this mopped up first. It isn't a challenge its intentional to get people like us frustrated with it and it's a poor poor decision by Square to do this to people
@@smythlife3373 It's ridiculously hard and RNG based, then to have to do 10 rounds while getting used to using new characters (Sephy, Zack). I still haven't done it; it is the last VR challenge I need to do but I had to put the controller down. It's so frustrating. I've started hard mode, I'm on Chapter 12, I'm putting off the Rufus fight which is why I started to do the VR challenges. Now I've been stuck on them for a week - I understand making it a challenge, it's end game, optional, and is needed for the platinum. But you can make something difficult and still make it fun. 10 round gauntlets, with two characters, against bosses/summons where many have 1-hit-Ko attacks, is not fun and is so time consuming. Nothing like getting to round 8, dying, and having to do it all again. This strategy is great, if you can get it off, and do enough damage. But it is also so dependent on what moves the enemy use. With Kujata I didn't even bother for Prime Mode because I needed ATBs as he just continuously tried to charge an element, so I had to be ready to cast magic all the time. I ended up getting Zack to put haste on Cloud because I couldn't get ATBs up before Kujata would try to get an element again. My Cloud did the same with Mindflayer, I think with the bird too, just stood in the lightning for no reason. With Mindflayer I'd attack with Cloud (after faith and Prime), then when it turned its attention to me I would swap to Zack. Mindflayer targets Zack, I'd go back to Cloud. If Zack got an ATB I'd cast Haste on Cloud. Might be the cowards way, but it worked. Helped learning that you can hide behind those rocks after his telekinesis attack. Bahamut seems to go into Neo Drive no matter what and then just decimates you, also sometimes he will only do like 2 attacks before charging particles again so leaves you trying to get ATBs up to break his wings. I know you can use Counter block, or whatever it is called, for his purple attacks (Block and press X) while controlling Cloud, I couldn't get the timing. I just suck at timing in general I think that is why I struggle on Odin. Sorry for rambling, these challenges just do my head in.
I beat this first try with your strat! It was very scary during Odin though...Zack and Cloud got separated by spatial distortion and Zack was alowly dying while Cloud was Stopped...luckily Zack survived long enough for Cloud to come back for the Aeroga kill. Thanks again!
My dude, you are an absolute legend. Yes, this js intimidating as hell and it takes a coupe of tries, but believe it or not, it took me way loger to do brutal challenges 4 and 5. Thank you!!!
Your guide helped tremendously. I was stuck on this for a while and finished this one and To Be A Hero today. Even though the battles didn't go exactly like yours when I did Bonds of Friendship i managed to finish it finally, played little aggressively against Odin which worked. Building up Sephiroth's attack so you can spam the dodge and attack to quickly fill his limit is so OP. Got me through most of the battles in To Be a Hero.
Thank you! I got stuck at Gi Nattak and couldn't do Rulers of the Outer World. With your guides i completed the whole game. I just beat this challenge and got the Platinum. I couldn't have done it without you. TYSM
I was struggling hard on my own, before this video went live. Finished the Legendary challenge with Sephiroth with my own build, 1st try, because lets face it...sephiroth is OP as hell. But this one, with Zack was driving me nuts. Thx to Opti I managed to do it during my first attempt after watching this video, thx once again hehe finally done with all chadley challenges. Missing only one trophy for plat now, which is finishing all chapters in hard mode ^^ should be fairly easy after finishing these crazy VR missions. Opti 4 president 🥰
I FINALLY DONE IT!! My Odin run was scuffed but got through it, can’t thank you enough man, your guides are the reason for my platinum!! Wish you all the best man and thank you again!!!👌
I am here for a second watch through as I had made it to the "to be a hero" fight on Friday, then my ps5 updated in the night and I lost ALL of my progress, so had to do ruler of the outer worlds, and all the solo challenges once more. Thank you for the guides Opti, you earned a subscriber with the content and I'll be sure to recommend to others when my friends get up to these fights.
It's currently 2:30am and after hours of trying and one final attempt before calling it a night, I beat Odin! Could not have dreamed it was possible without your guide! Thank you for all that you do! 🎉
Hey man! As someone who spent the past week grinding the final sims, just keep at it :) Agree with your RNG assessment. Of the bosses, the most "RNG susceptible" of them all are: 1. Quezacoatl (since it won't always do it's "free" pressured stance at the same time every fight - so you can shockingly see your hp drain just from random melees) 2. Ironclad (it's the swings man - cast barrier if you suck at dodging like me) 3. Alexander (his pew pew stuff sequence is very random, but know that his homing blue pew pew, ground hadoukens, and even the seismic shockwave are all counterfire-able). 4. Mindflayer (more for the Eldritch Horror. Have magic shield up) 5. Bahamut (sort of, I still haven't managed to figure out when he changes modes). Surprisingly, Odin becomes predictable with time. ❤
Yeah…. I definitely wouldn’t call this the “easy method.” Like, it’s a SOLID guide. But this is by no means easy… I’m going on 2 days with this method… made it to Odin once…. Bahumut 3x… sometimes IronClad f#%^s me… sometimes Quez… sometimes Flayer…. God help us.
@@Bodhinaut hands down this is the best guide, again shout out to Opti, Ive looked at every other "easy" guide but i cant even get past titan, but this one gets me to ODIN, just cant get it done,
I write this comment as tears of joy stream down my face (figuratively). I've finally done it!!!! Thank you Opti for this guide! It's done finally!! I can't believe it. Easily the worst bout ever and even worse than Rulers! I can't even say how long it's taken me to get here! I will NEVER do this challenge again! Weiss was a cakewalk compared to this! Never ever ever again will I even attempt this challenge. I never wanna see Zack's face again. Thank you again Opti!! You're the man!! Sephiroth can wait. I need a drink lol
Yeah it’s kinda sad. The game is absolutely fantastic but these combat simulator challenges have been so far above anything else the series (dunno about 14, never played it) has come up with before. I only recall the Jump Rope in FF9 annoying me this much. Even Weiss in FF7 Intergrade wasn’t this bad because it was just him. My issue is the slog, the silly battles before the battle I usually want to practice; that just ends up infuriating me then I make some silly mistake and get even angrier at myself lol.
@@Vereid I would equate these (particularly Rulers of the Outer Worlds) to the Savage level difficulty in the FF14 raids. Rulers is MAYBE the Ultimate level of difficulty? The major difference is that (assuming sync'd level), you can't really break any of 14's endgame fights with things like Brumal Form ATB cheese.
Man, thank you so much! Got my plat today thanks to your video, I was able to beat this challenge in only 5 tries. I did the Sephiroth one with this same build and beat it first try. To me particularly Rulers From Outer Worlds was the hardest challenge, took me days to finish it... but I'm just happy my platinum trophy finally popped up. Can't go wrong with your build.
I know most people have already said this, but you have been the best guide for these battles. It took half a day to finish bonds of friendship. I had it twice at the end, but I got annihilated by Odin at the very last second. I noticed my focus dwindling cuz I was getting reckt by the second boss lmao. Thankfully, I pulled through and managed to beat it!!! Thanks so much for your guide
This whole bout is so insanely RNG, not only Odin. Kujata keeps destroying me because you have to attack so many times and so fast that at times it'll leave me on the ground long enough so that it stomps over me and insta-kills me. I'm so massively done with these challenges and platinum.
Thank you so much for these guides. Before I found you I couldn't even beat the White Terror with Cloud, and now I just finished off Bonds of Friendship.
Thank you so much for your videos. I’m closer than ever to the platinum because of your guides. But for this video, could you please add chapters to your video so that each stage is time stamped and labeled?
@@Optinoobyits probably for certain fights in this stage that people have trouble with and can just straight go to that fight and watch that one specifically
Thank you for these guides - I used this one primarily for Bahamut and using the Zack as leader/Cloud as member strategy, but you helped me through a lot of the others! For Odin a few things that helped - Replaced enemy skill with steadfast block - Block most attacks w/ Prime mode (esp in the beginning) except sleipnirs furor, shimmering blade, prob missing a few others - dodge these (and when you’re dodging these moves, be dramatic about it - go further away than you think) - Right after casting wind you have a few free seconds to hit him and build ATB - Save your limit for temporal imprisonment - cancels it out Zack died like not even a min into mine, somehow solo’d Odin 💀
So I did this as my last thing to do in the game. (I did hard mode first so i could be weapon level 9 for the boost) I just wanted to thank you so much for these guides. I honestly don't know if I would have bothered with the platinum without you. Your channel deserves all the love for all the work you've put in. Thank so much from the bottom of my heart! I'm DONE!!!
Even with the guide this one is so frustrating, not gonna lie but I only lost 5 times to Odin, usually it would not discourage me or frustrate me that much, but after 160+h on the game I just want to move to something else and I keep feeling the game is holding me hostage >
Finally went through, I act like it took me 10 times but in reality it took me "only" 7 tries, the most fun part is that on the last try, nothing went as usual for Bahamut and Odin but I wrecked their asses by adapting so quickly that I surprised even myself
@@ErnestoF0if you still need help, max materias if not yet maxed and important thing: do damage. May sound stupid, but I found that going too cautious doesn't pay, use blocks to charge ATBs and cast the more Aerogas you can.
For anyone curious, with Prime Mode activated, the boosted beserk is on the second attack from holding square. If you HOLD Block after the 2nd attack that gets you beserk, you can counter attacks much easier. This Build helped me a lot! It still took me 7 hours to beat this mode, and I'm never EVER doing it again, but thanks you to I was able to complete it! As much as I love Elden Ring, Dark Souls, and being challenged, I'm too old for this shit xD
Yeah FF7 Remake and Rebirth Plat trophies are harder than ALL Souls games. I’ve beat them all, nothing makes me pull my hair out more than Plat’ing Remake and Rebirth 😂
@@Bodhinaut Remake Plat was cake. Rebirth Plat is the hardest thing I’ve ever done in gaming except 100 super jumps, which I’ve still never technically done.
Thank you! It took me weeks, and over 100 attempts. Slowly managed to claw my way to Odin more frequently and messily did it! For those still trying, don't give up but do not be too hasty (except for Brineborn) or panic. There's margin for error and some rounds can be salvaged. This guide is top!
I feel you. FF7 lad since 1997 and completed every game or spin off since. But this, this right here literally feels like it’s ruined 20 odd years of love for the game 😅
this is most horrible thing I encountered in any game ever.. I want to give up, but invested too much at this point. I remember every second of this guide, I got my muscle memory done by now and yet.. YET I still can't beat it. It's fucking I N S A N E.
On the one positive side.. Which is very minuscule, the music is really good. So.. Yeah. For what that’s worth. Hope you enjoy hearing it, because depending how lucky you can get, you may be hearing it for a while.
Bro... I'm right there with you.... I got Oden down to literally one fucking hit and zantuskien kicked off.... I've been at this for 2 weeks about 1 or 2 hours a day
FINALLY GOT THE PLAT!! Already had an idea about this build from widya vello channel but didn't know about the fury buff mechanic until watching this guide. Made all the difference in the world. Thank you so much man lol
Another amazing guide, thanks Opti! I'm sure most fellas here will buy you a round or 10 for your amazing guides. I think from this challenge it has made me learn the subtle mechanics of the bosses. You demonstrate your understanding of their mechanics and how to "easily" address and counter their attacks/defenses. Now just got TO be a Hero left and I'll plat :)
I did it. I know it’s stupid but tears are coming out my eyes. I watched this video for a combined l total of probably 3 hours. After 2 days and over 8 hours I just did it. I got lucky on this run and the bosses and AI just happened to react almost exactly like they do in this video. This challenge requires a lot of RNG luck to go your way in all 10 fights but you still have to memorize the bosses and be able to perform moves as a reflex without thinking. I’ve gotten so used to hearing Optinoobs relaxing and encouraging voice I’m going to watch his other guides even though I won’t need them for other games.
anyone else feel like this game relies too much on luck? i'm following the guide to a T but it doesnt matter what i do, odin will kill zach almost instantly and hes going into the fight with full health. so so so so frustrating, take nothing away from the guide (and previous ones) they are superb but i've got to round 10 over 20 times now, and it happens every single time. Square clearly got too giddy when they made these ridiculous challenges :(
100 percent. im probably on my 20th try and alex decided to uses some ability ive never seen before while he was pressured and instant killed cloud. it really is just a random game and its absolutely shattering a game i really loved
It's too unfair, I love challenges, like FromSoftware games, they give you the tools and multiple chances to defeat your enemies by just learning their patterns, said patterns have pretty generous windows for you to avoid attacks and take your opportunity to attack, but here, SquareEnix clearly doesn't have any idea on how to make a fair challenge, just pure luck, RNG and bs.
update: I beaten odin twice on dynamic and full power with JUST cloud (mostly to get my parry down) , now im struggling getting back to ODIN because alexander kujata and sometime mindflayer is on some RNG BOOOOOLSHAT
Ehem! Alright so, after having a bit of difficulty with some of the fights (especially Bahamut) I finally reach Odin. It was my first time getting that far so I was a little bit nervous. I somehow managed to get to the part where he uses Spatial Distortion, and this is where things went a bit pear-shaped. I was unable to avoid getting separated and Cloud got hit by Temporal Imprisonment despite controlling Zack, I guess maybe because Odin was on Cloud's side when he cast it. Then Odin proceeded to attack Cloud and he took several hits but he did not die, I guess manawall saved him. Next Odin switched to Zack's side and Zack eventually went down. I was very stressed at this point but I tried to remain calm and noticed that Cloud had 2 ATB's and his limit break ready. Odin had about 10-15% health left and Cloud still had all the buffs, faith, manawall and even haste, just not fury and I didn't want to risk running up close to get it before casting Aeroga so I just cast it immediately after Odin returned to Cloud's side and then unleashed his limit break. This was _just_ enough to defeat Odin! So yeah, it was a very scuffed fight yet I _somehow_ still pulled it off. Thank you very much for this guide, I would not have been able to do it without it!
Man I feel the same. I used Zacks MP completely on heals and then he died. Cloud was on his last legs and I couldn't get near enough to build two ATB so I used wind level 2, and barely survived to get one more wind 2 off to kill Odin. He would've probably killed me in the next ten seconds otherwise. I flipped off the TV when I beat Odin.
Got my plat today mate, absolutely couldn't have done it without your guides. SUPER DUPER THANKS you're a freaking legend. Keep doing what you're doing bro!
My man, you helped me to finish all combat simulators! I even made Bond of Friendchip first try thanks to your help! I can't describe how thankful I am for your guides! Thank you so so much!
