gamers like to complain about arrows pointing you to the destination, but then when they actually have to find the way on their own, they complain about it too xD I liked this zone a lot
I think it was intentional to avoid smashing the control out of frustration... lol but yes best music so far!! I'm 60 hours in and have not finished it yet
This music really fits Zack's wild and optimistic spirit beautifully. I can only imagine what he was like as a kid, he was probably a menace to everyone lol.
I love the way this song develops the more Intel you discover in the region. When the chants first came in my jaw literally dropped. It was so magical, and I wasn't expecting it at all
Oh so it's the intels that changes the ost? I was also surprised when I started to hear the chants but did not realize that it was because of me discovering more intel 😮. I'm blown away by this mechanic.
Similar to nier games. As you progress the song gets better. Introduces new instruments and vocals. Absolutely love that square Enix kept this design choice
After conquering a tower, I climbed onto my chocobo and jumped on a mushroom... and while I was in the air, the evolution of the song with the choirs started for the first time, it was a beautiful moment. I love when a song evolves through the player actions and progress
Rebirth is not only exceptional at nostalgic emotions, but creating new emotional resonance whole-cloth. This theme is a perfect example. This is new and absolutely stunning.
I get to play an hour or less at at time (I've got young kids) so its amazing to me how quickly I can jump right back in and be immersed. Its a wonderful game.
@@jackjohnson8305 Cosmo Canyon has the nicest city theme. But for me the actual zone has the worst most grating music in the game. I actually couldn't wait to leave it.
This whole game’s OST is the type that just sticks with you where you just get an emotional response the second you hear it. Can’t put my finger on exactly why but the last game that gave me these vibes was Kingdom Hearts 2
It's fitting. Since Birth By Sleep had Zack in Hercules world. Cloud may have been the plot armor protagonist of FF7, but Zack is the TRUE TRAGIC HERO OF FF7 😢😢
For french people : There is a vocal sample of children chanting that is used in that song. That sample is from the song RMI by MC Solaar, one of the finest french rapper of the past 30 years. I searched in my memory for at least 2 days before I remember. This is the kind of crossover that you can't imagine 😂
Right! I'm usually blasting through on my ride but the Songs in this game are so good, I just can't help but walk... All the way until I have to bounce on a mushroom 😅
Fellow Caribbean here (Dominican) and yep, this region totally reminded me of going to my family's house and running barefoot up in the hills and climbing trees and going into the ocean. Just being a kid.
The area itself was an absolute nightmare to navigate lol. But I adore this track - I can just imagine Zack growing up and training in the jungle. No wonder he was so damn tough! The devs did a wonderful job of this region overall. Oh obligatory DO NOT SPOIL THINGS FOR OTHERS reminder. This game is truly magical.
@@DaBigBasehell, I turned off the compass and mini map and just traveled thru Gongaga like that. Was absolutely amazing, just following the lifestream birds and roads
The Irish bagpipes mixed with the pipes, flutes, and drums with the gentle strings in the background elicit all sorts of emotions. I'll just hang around Gongaga just to hear this music on a loop.
This game….pure magic from start to finish. I thought that games of this calibre was a thing of the past. The story, music, characters and the memories that they managed to capture from the original game. Just wow! Might be the best game i ever played! And i’ve been around! Need part 3 now!
I was so stunned hearing this lion kingish sound and it fits so well within the FF7 remake universe. A universe of infinite possibilities. I think this is what they were going for. The nostalgia mixed with new moments are what make this game a masterpiece. Definitely my goty contender.
There hasn't been a lot of games lately where I just set my controller down and take in the sights and sounds. Maybe it's because FF VII is one of my favorite games of all time but this ost is just perfect
This theme is so amazing. I kept having to stop to take in the games soundtrack - I'm in disbelief at how good it is. The diversity in open world design is something else
Ur not alone I did the same for somebody that played the original FF7 this was amazing to see and brought tears to my eyes 😭 because I remember this region in the original was only 2 screens I swear what Square has made is truly incredible and FF7 Rebirth is truly a magical experience 🥹 loving every second of it I’m around 90 hours in
I love the beach and the jungle and swimming in crystal waters, its my favorite environment to be in and I thrive in it. When i first heard this and walked into Gongaga all i could think of was "oh, feels just like home!" And then i thought of Zack and all the fun he must have had as a kid. You can tell his parents are a lovely couple too who loved their son very much. Its no wonder Zack turned out such a good person.
god i love this track, and honestly one of my favorite areas of rebirth, omg i could spend forever in this jungle just listening to this track, its just so damn goood
This was the wildest thing that's ever happened to me while playing a video game. Up until this point, I failed miserably at every single piano challenge. After my experience listening to this music on my hike to gongaga, it changed me. All i could think of, this is a tribute to zack. Upon entering the village I tried the piano challenge once more. I hit almost every note on all my 4 music sheets.
The original was a masterpiece ive played countless times over the past 25 years..... And can see me doing the same with this masterpiece. An absolute work of art
It's a beautiful game....I dare say better than the original so far. I'm so glad the development team took this game so seriously. This game has meant a lot to people.
Most beautiful region with the most beautiful music. It was a pain to get around (especially trying to get to that damn middle tower) but this was my favorite area
I just heard the vocals for the first time in game while exploring Gongaga. I wasn't expecting to be hit with emotions out of nowhere. This song is absolutely beautiful. I can't thank the team enough for making this game.
This track really hits home for me. My first introduction to FF7 was Crisis Core. Getting to actually explore Zack’s home, along with the crazy emotions of the story in Rebirth at this point was very gratifying and cathartic. It was like Kingdom Hearts 3 all over again for me.
Just finished the Gongaga region a few days ago, (Sunday night). Made it to Gongaga this past Thursday. Finally got to play it during the weekend, and to be honest I didn’t like this part of the game cause of the traversal. The thing I liked about Gongaga is the theme, just thought it was really peaceful. Monday night I was scrolling through my feed on Instagram to find out a childhood friend passed. She’s someone I’ve known since elementary school. Everyone we grew up with is shocked, cause it came out of nowhere. I thought it happened on Monday, but she actually passed Sunday morning. I have this thing where I’m always thinking about what I was doing in that moment/day when someone I know passes, I don’t know why. I was asking myself “What the hell was I doing that morning? Oh yeah… playing Final Fantasy.” Then I remembered this theme since it was basically playing on my tv throughout the weekend. Really doesn’t help when you finally reach the village, and one of the first things you do is “pay your respects”. There’s a lot of things that’ll remind me of her, but for now whenever I hear this theme I’m gonna be thinking of her. Don’t know if it’s a good thing or a bad thing, but time will tell. To anyone reading this, sorry for the rant. Just had to say something.
Hey, don’t apologize. I think it’s beautiful reading and hearing about how something that’s touched me in one way has had such an impact on someone else as well. I think the variety of experiences we all have related to the same one thing (in this case, a piece of music) is something to be celebrated. Rest In Peace to your friend, I hope she’s in a better place and I hope you and those you know are taking care of yourselves during this difficult time. Much love
The combination of beautifully remixed renditions of classic FF7 tracks and wonderful original music like this is perfection. This song is so well-composed, if I never played the original FF7, I would be shocked to find out it was in the original game. On top of that, besides FF7, Sonic Adventure was one of my favorite games as a really little kid, and elements of this song remind me of Mystic Ruins from that game, so to me at least, it's like a cool little mix of nostalgic memories :)
Hearing this reminds me of walking through Epcot or Animal Kingdom after closing, seeing the torches lit at night and taking it all in knowing you’ll never experience something like this for the first time again
Leave it to Mitsuto Suzuki to compose one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire OST, and it's not even based on any previous music by Nobuo Uematsu. What a legend.
The track changes the more you unlock those satellites I noticed... the hymn gets stronger. I was blown away when I played this section last night... I'm not trying to speed run this game....so much to do.
Literally sounds like an early 90’s Disney ost from idk.. some 3 characters going through there arcs and coming together to form peace after war in the jungle and now they are going to re shape the jungle into a better place montage with this song in the background lol
I walked to tesco which is a mile away to get a cheeky meal deal for work while listening to this theme I couldn't stop smiling listening to this:) thank you for sharing
This song provides just unreal atmosphere in the game, is my favorite of the game so far and one of my all time favorite vid soundtrack songs already, immediately resonated with me. I just wanted to never leave this region, it was so colorful and bright and had this song non stop. Reminds me of a Frontier song.
Easily my favourite regional theme. It's got a very lilting, almost Irish or Scottish vibe to it. I spent three times as long as I needed in gongaga just to listen to this
I figured out why I LOVE this theme. It reminds me of the adventures in the forest that my cousin had back behind his place. During the weekends and for weeks during the supper we would have sleep overs and when we were younger like thirteen and under younger, we would have adventures in the woods exploring a rock excavation site, railroad tracks, an old pond with a drastic hill next too it. We had great adventures back then... I guess Gongaga region reminded me of that same energy with this song in the background... Man it like so many have said I can see young zack having a blast here.
Me, first time hearing this track : "Yeah, that vibe is chill" Me, after 5h exploring the region, being lost countless of time in the jungle: "Yeah, that vibe is chill"
Its like they took the OST from the original Lion King movie and smashed it together with the OST from Braveheart. I'll never forget the moment when I first crossed the water in the Buggie and got out and first started hearing the drums, and then the Uillean bagpipes, and then the pipes. My jaw just hit the floor and tears started welling up in my eyes. I just stopped playing to drown myself in the music. The beauty in this song is overwhelming.
I knew the OST for rebirth was going to be great but it blew me away. Not only a plethora of top tier pieces but having the music develop as you progress and multiple versions of them (battle, questing, etc) it really is something else. Like many others when first hearing the gongaga theme i spent the next 30mins or more just listening and it became one of my fav tracks in the game.
