Just finished the game after about 110 hours doing the majority of side content (I will have to do some battle challenges). Easily the best game I've played. Never got boring, always tons of fun stuff to do. Gets a 11/10 from me.
Took me 112 hrs. I did all the side quests except the gilgamesh, the double summons kept Killin me so I skipped it to beat game. It's definitely a 100+ hrs game without ever getting old. Incredible, really one of the greatest games ever.
Just beat the story, and honestly idk if I'm 100% mentally there after such a beautiful, yet tragic story!! Definitely going to enjoy the life I've been given after having played this masterpiece and get back to this when I'm ready!!
I finished the game with 125 hours in, did all side quests mini games hidden bosses treasure hunting, level cap best items and gears etc. It ruined me lol I don’t recommend completing everything 100% before the ending but if you have the time and patience do it!!!!
AP gain does not increase on hard mode. I tried multiple runs of the same battle in hard mode then again on easy mode. AP earned is the same. Exp and Gil, however, are very much increased.
This game was a letdown because it ended! It was so hard to play another adventure/role playing game after this! I got Forbidden West which is a good game, but it didn’t entice me to keep playing like Rebirth! I plan on playing Rebirth again on the PS5 Pro! If the Pro doesn’t come out this year, I’ll play it again around Halloween. I collect statues, posters and paintings. My game room is FF decked out!
Where are they getting these playtime estimates? I'm at 142 hours and still going through the side quests I missed post game- didn't even try hard mode for the manuscripts. Wish level 70 cap was unlocked
Im 140 hours in...just finished ch 12. Beat every SQ and chadley missions and explored all regions. Went to fught Gilgamesh summons and got clapped 😂 im level 51. I still have all ch 13 and 14 to go and havent even gotten access to heard mode yet lol. I beat all mini games on level 3...140 hours ...STILL HAVENT BEATEN THE GAME ...😮😅
I completed everything I platinum the game every is at %100 it took me 145 hours (yes many tries trying to beat the hardest bosses) it was a journey it ruined me and I hope part 3 is the same! 😊
150 hours characters in lvl 51 - 52 range and did allmoust everything before went to do the ending. I think that card game story was little weak , it should had more as a final fantasy ministory
Yes it does, pretty lame that it just negates a new feature pretty much completely. Would have liked to see maybe an adjustable hard mode where you could opt out of this lousy feature.
What I want to know is ... are there any enemies that give a TON of AP? I found it odd that some materia I had since the very beginning still wasn't even close to maxed out by the end. The most powerful final boss fights still would give like 4 AP. For a materia that needs thousands per level.
It's tough to hit max AP in one playthrough, even if you have a materia equipped from the very second you start. It requires multiple playthroughs but Hard mode provides increased AP gain
BTW, linking to the materia targeted for maxing really made a difference for me! By the time I completed the 1st playthrough at Level 50, a majority of my key materia were maxed! A definite game changer and time saver!
In chapter select, can you change you relationship status with other characters? I don’t want to replay the whole game just see Cloud go on a date at the Golden Saucer with someone else.
@@maxhutchinson6425 I wish they did this in remake.. Having to replay 3 or 4 different chapters to get the tifa/aerith/cloud dresses achievement was a NIGHTMARE....
I finished the game and did 98% of the sidequest and I am telling you alot of those sidequest are extremely annoying. I think I am done with this game until a real good game plus comes along. Love this game but one major negative is some of those annoying sidequest.
I have a question: At the end of the game, will it be possible to roam the world and finish all the side quests, competitions and challenges, such as Red Dead? Or will the game end as soon as it ends and I will not be able to go back and finish what I missed?
When you beat the game, you unlock chapter select. You can select any chapter you like. However you will be restricted to areas based on the chapters. (Chapter 2 is restricted to grasslands, 4 to junon etc.) Chapter 12 is the most open chapter and is the chapter to unlock the secondary portion of sidequests for each region, so I recommend that for completing any sidequests and challenges. You are good to beat the game before any optional content is complete, in fact.
All of these suggestions are dumb. You can do all of this before the credits roll if you really wanted to.. the only real after credits suggestion here is playing on Hard mode. Nice click bait lol.
what did you mean you can play as cloud and sephiroth?? just gonna glaze over that like its nothing?? did you mean JUST in the simulator you can play as them? or can they be a part of your team in the game? like how is this not a huge thing??
question to anyone please, i finished the game and i go to chapter selection right after im done, but i can't access any side quests and its not letting me do any of them, what do i do?
It depends on what setting you started the chapter on. Any sidequest you missed on your first playthrough will be visible. There's the option to carry over your completed progress on said quests when you dive back in. And there's the option to start everything all over. That's as much as I know with these settings. I hope these helped a bit!
There are some more combat trials which give useful materia, such as elemental and magnify. More manuscripts for weapon and party upgrades. Also different monster drops to create the ultimate accessories
Complete all the relic quests and then it will unlock. Playing as Zack or Seph will automatically be set to hard but these fights require to complete other combat simulator trials, which I’ve yet to beat myself :)
@@JACorvini believe it’s just the Gilgamesh relics. And yeah you’ll have to do the dual summon trials! Took me many attempts the other day but it’s achievable with trial and error!
I love this game but man is it dragged down by the shit Ron of mini games you have to master just to get thru I might be alone in this but I think they could have cut down a lot on mini games or at least or on forcing them into most of the game
@@MrQQJojo i just realize that too when i try to clear my quest, im thankful for the monster to come to aid my frustration. But poor guy doesnt deserve that ending 😂😭
You don't have to drag the chicken back. You only go a few feet then a monster comes and u fight it then the chicken talks to red and goes home and the old lady cooks him and cloud and red eat him.
Ok so my thing with rebirth that irks me is Johnny's treasure trove they literally puts all the weapons from both save files on the wall but can't give you them or their abilities, limitations to any single materia is the biggest let down in the entire remake so far second to the saves not carrying over because they want the games "independent (🤡)". A lot of the content literally guides you until you make/walk the correct choice/path in the original your saves transferred from disk to disk with your entire inventory and materia (nothing was left behind) all stats and quests, also if you made choice you had to figure it out through another play through which they took that one too, and whenever you mastered a materia you got a copy of it from lvl 1 which made the game extremely fun through battles being able to make what load outs I wanted and not even mentioning that you could put every single summon on 1 character if wanted and you could combo with multiple summons providing you had already mastered the materia. Other than the devs removing half our features for a ramped up polished version of a game that's extremely similar with the same characters and less everything but size it was a nice 1 good play through and was beautiful detailed and the actual combat from turn based was good choice. Don't think I'm going for a platinum or anything crazy until I see what they are doing with the 3rd part because I probably will just end up sticking with the original before my fondness for the original game gets tarnished.. gave it 100 hrs and really checked it out.. just wish that could be part of the last installment
It's impressive considering that Helldivers 2 is multiplatform and FF7R2 is exclusive. Then again, Helldivers 2 is a cheap semi-indy game, while Squenix loves to jack up the price on fanboy-nostalgia. Btw the game on Japan made less than FF7R it's respectable but you'd think the sequel would sell much more than the previous.
the only data that has came out is physical sales....who tf even buys physical anymore? no one i know....we dont know the actual sales numbers as we now live in a totally digital world. this isnt 2010 anymore my guy
@@RobC-sp7vj tell that to people who like physical media. Personally i don't like them, we're supposed going to the future not back with Blu-ray discs. But you need to understand that companies can and will if they have to, to delist or even delete your digital games. Say something happens to their servers...you can't get those games back. You don't completely own the product you're basically renting the rights for an allotted time, which can be taken away at any given moment. Think when titles get de-listed or storefronts get shut down, or how Microsoft is closing the Xbox 360 ecosystem in July 2024.The ONLY way for this to change is if companies manage somehow to have all digital games in a supercomputer that has tremendous amount of storage so you don't have to worry about any issues. Practically you can play a 2010 game digitally for 10 generations or more. The tech isn't here yet but it will be. Look how fast tech evolved from say 1990's up until this day. Absolutely huge difference. Having physical is a good and bad thing. The bad thing is that the materials to make them isn't eco-friendly.
nope. only physical sales. digital sales havent been reported yet. everyone i know buys digital and considering we live in a digital world now, i still expect the sales numbers to be huge.
I just reached the region after Junon and I'm already burned out lol, the open world is just filled with repetitive boring content.. are we sure this game wasn't made by Ubisoft?
@@gabbingabout Sadly I don't know if any of the side content becomes missable after a certain point so I always try to clear a region before moving on, plus it's the only way to get party exp..
@@Kumire_921it doesn’t, you can technically go back and do side content before chapter 13 and the game lets you know. However, that doesn’t really matter either as new game plus opens up and you can keep all you progress for side content.
the side content is absolutely amazing in this game...what are you even talking about? every region has distinct side quests that are different then every other region of the game. how tf could you be burnt out. im 80 hours in on chapter 10 and i think this is the best game ive ever played. some people are so weird lol
@@RobC-sp7vj distinct how.. every region has towers, crystals, lifesprings and relics. Side quests so far have been generic but I love the combat and story, actually it's because I like the main story so much I would've liked a more liner experience.
They came close to ruining the tone of ff7. Rebirth was just this constant anime goofiness, all these villains dancing in your face like You Got Served. And those 15 linear hours after costa del sol really bummed me out.
your weird man. this is possibly the greatest game ive ever played. i see most people on the internet feel the same. your in the minority there thats for sure. not everyone i guess likes GREATNESS
The game is a masterpiece and is a substantial improvement over the previous game. Tone wise I find it exactly the same as of ff7. Potentially a bit darker.
@@RobC-sp7vjI was kind of let down by the game. I'm 80 hours in, at chapter 10 and have done everything I can so far. I hate collecting all the towers and lifesprings it feels like a chore. I hate the MOG mini game. Story is mid so far. Some parts are to goofy. Materia system could be better with more materia and materia combinations. I'm not ever excited for the next game.
50-80 hours to finish main story? Did you do your research? It will take you 30 hours to do only main mission quests. Dont take me wrong, I watch this channel daily and I would love to get information on what to expect after I finish my playthrough, but how can you keep watching if the intro information is not correct?
you are weird. most people dont want the game to end... its like you live in an opposite dimension from everyone else. theres a reason its universal acclaim metacritic for critics AND USERS. game is a masterpeice@@Kumire_921
Me thinks you didnt do your research bub my brother has been focusing on the main story while doing a few side quests here and there, he is on chapter 8 and is 35 minutes in
@@Mil1210 But before release, squarenix said that you can use the characters unique travelsal ability when exploring the world such as Tifa with her grappling hook 😱.
