Final Fantasy 8 Remastered Android - "Cheat" Save File

I created this save file for personal use, but than, I decided to share it with everyone :P
Please make sure you read the description, every information you need to get this working is right here. Nottice that, because you're about to replace save files, you will lose all your current game progress but, in my opinion, it's well worth it. You don't need a rooted smartphone to use this:
1 - Download one of these (they're the same, but savedata 2.rar has the same save on the first 3 slots, and savedata.rar only has the "special" save on Auto) and extract it's content:
drive.google.c...
2 - (Optional) Backup your current save files, they're located here:
Android/data/com.square_enix.android_googleplay.FFVIII/files/
*If your android file explorer doesn't allow you to access this location, use X-plore File Manager:
play.google.co...
3 - Copy the extracted folder you downloaded to this location on your smartphone:
Android/data/com.square_enix.android_googleplay.FFVIII/files/
4 - Run the game, choose Continue, load one of the saves with 0:00 play time, you'll start with:
All Character and GF on level 100 and max HP
Every GF available with all abilities learned
Odin, Gilgamesh and Phoenix unlocked
All ultimate weapons and it's various Limit Breaks unlocked
All items, 100 of each item
Infinite (999999999) Gil
All cards unlocked
All magazines unlocked

Thanks for this! Got all the gfs except for Odin but he comes up randomly without being summoned haha and for some reason Diablo is only level 9. All other gfs are 100

I don't know if u notice but the enemies from the start at level 80 and have lots of hp🤣but I kinda love it. Seem like hard mode++start

From Android/Data onwards it wants access rights which I cannot grant. It just takes me to the internal and SD card directory and that's it.

You have to replace the whole savedata folder (backup your old one first) for the one I created, let me know if it works, if not, I'll make one that is not located in the auto save slot

@@BrunoNRG I checked the final fantasy 8 file on my android device under the android data section of obb file but there is no savedata file on there but I have saves on the game

@@JuztN_Illuxion You don't have to do anything in the obb folder, this is the save folder location: Android/data/com.square_enix.android_googleplay.FFVIII/files/savedata, backup your savedata folder, than delete the original, copy the one in the link to the same path where your's was, make sure you're using a file explorer that shows all folders and it's content. This save is the same one I uploaded before, but now it's edited to use the first 3 slots: drive.google.com/file/d/1fHMdIYD-ciXn2Oe6OeomhndX4cjzuwCT/view?usp=sharing

Hi, sorry for the late reply, they're the same, except I edited savedata 2.rar to use the first 3 slots, because someone couldn't load the auto save. You'll probably get it working with the first file, if not, try the second one ;)

I've unlocked everything that can be unlocked with the save creator, if something is missing it's because it can't be unlocked, sorry

És a primeira pessoa a ter essa dificuldade, pois nenhum dos dois arquivos RAR está protegido por password. :) Talvez seja um problema relacionado com a aplicação que estás a usar para descomprimir os arquivos, recomendo WinRAR

I don't have any apple devices were I can test the save files, but they're most likely interchangeable between android and ios, since the same thing can be done between android and pc or ps1 / psp. You only need to find were your device stores the save files, do a backup, and replace them, best of luck 👍

It's most likely due to the file explorer you're using, try with X-plore, it's free on PlayStore

Because you're not using a file explorer that allows you to see such files. Please read the video description, use X-plore, it's free on PlayStore, cheers

In game, when you select "Continue" option, you should see a save file there with 0:00 playtime and 99999999 gil, use that one, if not, something went wrong with file transfer

On PC, using Hyne, a save editor for Final Fantasy VIII, not meant for android version, but still works ;)

Este é o criador / editor de saves que usei: sourceforge.net/projects/hyne/ assim consegues criar um um ficheiro exactamente como pretendes, a quantidade de gil (não dá para ser ilimitado) é configurada no separador Micalleneous. Se a tua intenção é modificar o teu save actual, cria um backup do mesmo, antes de fazeres qualquer alteração ;)

Android 11, I'm guessing you can't access the game folder were the save files are stored, if that's the case, use X-plore

There are no "cheats" on this game, just save files like the one I created, that have everything unlocked / upgraded. Follow the instructions on the video, backup your current save files and than replace them with the ones on the link that's on the video description, that's all you have to do.

Were you able to copy the files to the game directory? Did you follow the instructions in the video description? Please note that, without root, most file explorers won't show you the game directory, try using X-plore.

Using Hyne, it's an app for Windows to edit / make FF8 save files, you can use it to customize levels and exactly what you want to be upgraded / unlocked with it, that's what I used to make these save files :)

These are the save editors for FF7: Black Chocobo, FF8: Hyne, FF9: Memoria. I don't have FF7 or FF9 and I'm not sure what platforms will work with the save files you can create using those editors.

Every android device has several system languages to choose from so, yes, it will work on your device, regardless of the system language you have set, just make sure you follow the steps in the video description :)
