I agree 100% They even covered it Super Mario RPG against Culex which is saying something considering FF 5/6 had both come out, but they chose to sample this iconic song! Battle with the Four Fiends is also amazing!

Best boss theme in the Final Fantasy series! I've never heard a song tell such a harrowing story with nothing but sound. It opens with feelings of dread and anticipation, then towards the middle the protagonists rally, followed by a triumphant victory as you (the protagonist) get the upper hand and emerge victorious. It gave me goosebumps as a 10 year old and it still gives me goosebumps two decades later. Your cover of it does great justice! Brilliantly done!

Was the first I encountered this theme too. I was 10 when I fought culex. Took me a month to beat him and I insisted on using only Mario, Bowser and Geno. I thought using Peach was wuss back then cause she was a girl, and I ditched Mallow for Geno. This was 2000, before 9/11 happened. The memories
