@@Sharff514my only issue with the pixel remasters of the first six Final Fantasies is that none of them have the bonus content from the GBA and PSP versions such as Dawn Of Souls from 1 and 2 (not the SNES North American version that's actually 4)
This was the best version in my opinion.. and so many extras too! The graphics and sound effects were so crisp. Wish I had this on an emulator or something.
@@tonywong8134 I actually purchased the PSP version of the game but don't have it anymore. I've purchased so much from Square Enix it's not even funny. I buy stuff from them on Steam and also have a Windows FFV Pocket Edition I purchased. I bought alot of their SNES and PlayStation games as well. Trust me I've thrown alot of cash their way. Thanks for being concerned about them though LOL
I love this. I played it on PSP and on SNES :) Of course everyone used to think it was FFII until it was rumored that it was suppose to be FFIV in Japan and so when it cam out on PSP, it became FFIV.
I've played the FFII (USA version of FFIV) on the SNES in first half of the 90's FFIV on the Playstation in the second half of the 90's FFIV on the GBA in the first half of the 2000's FFIV on DS in the second half of the 2000's This PSP version is definitively the best ever done. We need a same type of portage for FFVI on the switch: Keep the graphics in 2D Improve the visuals Add some 3D effects on the spells It will be the best version of FFVI. They could even make a prequel and a sequel to FFVI as they did for FFIV in the After Years (though this time they really should be far more daring and create new levels, new musics, new monsters...)
I really like the graphics but i disagree that this is the best version. Augments and the dificulty made the DS version the best for me. For example, on the psp version i swear i killed scarmiglione with 2 basic attacks without any grind. On the DS i had to put much more effort into the battle. Actually every boss was much more satisfiyng
@@staysharp2453 completely agree here! It was the first time in a while a boss felt like a boss! Not a "easy to win but takes more hits" creature, but more of a "Holy crap am I gonna lose here?"
@@joshsnider2586 Dude, i can tell much more good sides on the DS version. The second screen display real time info for everything that is happening in battle, every buff, debuff, weakness, resistance, dropable item (not sure if steal itens are displayed as well). On the psp, on the other hand, i remember very well that most buffs and debuffs doesnt give clear information about what worked and what didnt work, maybe only protect gives a glistening effect. But in the end, you just kill almost anything with basic attacks without almost never needing to heal. I was really excited with the 2D graphics at first, even though i already had beaten the DS version like 3 times, but in the end, this version is not worth.
@@joshsnider2586 on the psp basically if you take any actions other than basic attacks, you are just wasting your time because you dont need and you wont know if it worked. Only slow MAYBE on some bosses
Funny how they gave FF1-4 (sans 3 but that got a 3d remake) got the crisp hd sprites treatment but 5 and 6 look absolutely ugly despite being great games

Yeah they are in the GBA and PSP remakes of the first game but in order to access the dungeon that those bosses spawn in called Hellfire Chasm, you must kill Marilith first

Seeing this just helps make us realize how lazy the supposed "Pixel Remasters" are. They're only using the "classic 16-bit nostalgic" graphic style as a COP-OUT excuse to be lazy and not put any effort.
I'm playing the PS version and I have to say leveling up is really annoying. Don't get why both Rydia and Edward was super low when entering, they die basically as soon as a battle began 😑
ThiCCy Chan I guess if you didn't know, Bahamut's Megaflare can be reflected in this Final Fantasy, that's why before the countdown ended, Kain's jump dealt damage and Bahamut used his Megaflare on Kain by which he has Reflect used from a Light Curtain thereby dealing more damage to Lunar Bahamut and thereby making it an effective strategy rather than waste time avoiding the Megaflare
It's linked to a stat that grows over the game so it gets stronger over tim (like all spells) and when used on a group i think its around 60% strength.
