The battle that made me love this song was the one on the riovanes rooftop. I remember having a chill sent down my spine when Ramza says that elmdor, celia, and lede aren't human. At 0:00, the song sets the theme of "holy shit, these enemies aren't human and extremely dangerous." However, the objective of the battle was to protect Rafa. At 0:24, the song totally sets the theme for protecting an ally from a powerful, dangerous enemy.
@@PlayerPunisherChapter 1 and 2 in the first movie. The final battle with belias in the 3 chapter would be the culmination of the 2nd movie and at the very last the 3rd movie exhibiting the 4th chapter.
I love the way this piece alternates between calm tension and panicked chaos. It's like..."something's wrong here........???? We're trapped! Fight it out, protect the Princess!" Dat betrayal you didn't see coming lol
+Andrew W Yeah, the chaos was brought by Gaffgarion betrayal. The first time I fought this battle, I payed little attention to the dialogues. The objective is Protect Ovelia. Gaffgarion starts the battle and I was like "Ok Gaff, show these worms the power of the Dark Knight!" and he hits Ovelia with the shadow blade and I was like "Gaff, wtf are you doing?! Shouldn't we save the princess from that traitor Delita?! Oh wait, now Delita is helping us..."
I was listening to this song while studying for my college classes, when my alarm went off to tell me to go to class. My alarm is Clash on the Big Bridge, it was almost like Gilgamesh went “hey, who left this song here? There’s only one Big Bridge song!” And overrode it.
i wish there was a higher quality copy. its hard to enjoy these seamless extended versions with good headphones when you start noticing the garbled points and these are the only extended ones out there to date. i still really value these videos, they absolutely saved the day for me more than once, but, well, yeah, haha
"ok Gafgarion, let's take these guys out" -Ramza "actually about that....I'm here to kill you instead o_o" -Gafgarion *le sad face :^(* -Ramza Delita kills everyone: the game
Many in the comment section say this battle is easy and generally the whole game and I agree, however if you do want a challenge and I do mean a challenge, download the 1.3 mod from the insane difficulty website and I assure you nothing is easy.
I assume you're referring to the battle this track is named after, and yes, it's set up to be almost impossible to lose unless the AI gets REALLY lucky.
Yeah, pretty much. The AI itself is actually quite competent in FFT, and knows how to use it's various abilities to full effect, it's just handicapped. Vanilla FFT has both level locked story battles, and enemies with a lower equipment budget then the player. 1.3 fixes both of those, along with re-balancing all the classes so they're better vs each other. This helps the player, but comes across as helping the AI more because it will always use more Knights, Archers, Wizards, and Thieves then the player will ever consider using. So, it's much harder, but in a way that sort of makes sense; the AI is essentially fighting at the players power level, rather then a purposely lowered one.
The battle against Gafgarion was easily the hardest storyline boss of any FF game. I wish the final boss had put up 6that good of a fight. Of course, once you get Orlandu the game is stupidly easy.
I'm not sure which battle was the hardest if you didn't go through some crazy strategy to win it. The battle against gaffgarion at the Lionel castle gate, the one against Weigraph at Riovanes Castle Keep, or the one that followed where you had to protect Rapha against elmdore! She seemed to like getting killed lol
+Will Melendez Definitley Rapha. Since i used Pisces as my sign, Gaffgarion dealt less damage to me, and Wiegraf i did the scumbagish way to fight him (50 Accumulates and 40 Yells) But protecting Rapha is just fucking shit because the A.I. is shit.
+Will Melendez Remember, Rafa's name backwards is Afar. And that's precisely the opposite thing she does trying to fight off the Omega demon sisters and Elemdor.
Travis Gibbons You need to pray to all and every single divine creature in the planet to make her do the right move and move next to you in her turn. i've needed 35 attempts and 1 entire month to go trough this god forsaken battle.
Zero The Bloodedge I had to do the battle several times. sucks too since you can't change your units' jobs. I just had to get a stroke of luck that she moved just far enough away. Get this. I had Elmdor critically hit Rafa multiple times... It was not fun.
Travis Gibbons I've tried to max speed on mustadio, a Ninja and Agrias to try to make at least one of the assassins on critical. I've used the boots that give +1 speed, plus the Lancer Ignore Height ability to at least have a chance IF i could get my turn faster than the assassins. But sucks to suck, because both Rafa and Malak are such useless special jobs for this late in the game, so for all i cared, they could've died in the end.
This really is my favorite battle theme from this game. I wish they would have used this one for the final battle as well...Oh well...At least I beat the game, but the final boss was a bit of a disappointment...
I don’t think it would fit for the last boss. What bothers me is it doesn’t play for the whole endgame, the last time is the fight with Dycedarg. They should have had a fight with Folmarv with this theme, before you fight Hashmal.
That battle was easy all you had to do was unequip all weapons and armor from him before the bridge the hardest was the stupid wiegraf battle where he transforms using the stones power that was the hardest battle of the entire game
that battle was easy then again i grinded the hell outta part one to turn Ramza into a dark knight in chapter one. i cheesed weigraf it felt like Sephiroth vs cloud in ff7. so when i beat it that playthrough i went a more noble route the next run to make it more difficult. lol
Sidney Lawson Last time I made it to that battle, it was on the original version of the game, so I couldn't take advantage of the Dark Knight class. I am, however, working on beating the PSP version right now.
+KoolredfoxPlays oh yeah forgot one slight disturbance battle was the battle right after where the two witches that had the power to one hit k.o or to stop your player. And if they killed one of the brother or sister forgot their names. Then the battle would automatically be over which at one time I had to keep trying over and over about 50 times until one of them witches did a random as moves
