This guy deserves praise. Every single person on the internet rushed to talk about his downfall, but nobody is saying anything about his comeback.

My final rating for this game is a quarter on the street out of ten. It's often overlooked and not too common to find, but those who do find it always end up happy for finding it.

The bard getting the fuck out of his party joke will never get old, i never see it coming and its so amazing how he subtly slides it in its fantastic.

Makes sense that his second form would be a whole BUNCH of demons all crammed together. Which I guess means that he's a big allegory for pollution and garbage dumps. Did you know this game had a sequel? The anime, Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals takes place 200 years after the events of the game and focuses on Bartz's descendants. The anime actually had an American release shortly before the release of Final Fantasy VII. It's a 4 Episode OVA that's surprisingly entertaining. And directed by Rin Taro no doubt.

17:47 I think Exdeath's second form is not weird, to be honest. Exdeath is a tree used to seal evil spirits, so it makes sense, in my opinion, that these evil spirits end up showing up at a certain point. Sure, it could have been done better, but I think it's pretty nice. And his boss fight in FF14 looks amazing (haven't played it because I'm not a fan of MMOs, but I saw a video and he looks badass).

FFV is one of my favorite RPG's. There's some lovable characters in the game, and the job system totally rocks. It's such a warm feeling to remember the days that I played this, searched for special items with thief; laughed a lot with characters like Boko and Galuf.

Is this how old people feel when the band they always listened to as a kid reunites decades later to tour once again? Cause I totally get it now.

Over the years, FF5 has become one of my favorites in the series. I used to be all about FF6, but the job system in FF5 is so much fun, and I feel like it has so much replay value because of it.

Things I’ve learned from this video: -RPGS with job systems generally feel more rewarding to play. Use FF5 as an example. -Don’t make scenarios where your forced to use a specific class. Great to see you back!

Speaking of FF5, Jared's job class must be necromancer. Because he revived his own channel from the dead.

The Job system sounds complicated. But hot damn now I want it in every RPG.

I've said it once and I'll say it again: It's amazing how much of a leap in graphic and audio quality there was between FF5 and FF6 despite being on the same hardware. FF6 almost looks like a 32-bit era game by comparison.

Exdeath's last form does make sense; I clearly remember someone tells you that they sealed a bunch of powerful demons and monsters in a tree, that tree IS exdeath

9:37 That's what magic spells are for, they are unaffected by row placement, so they always deal full damage. It also makes Rangers more unique, as their weapons -- bows -- are not affected by row placement. There are also some Thief & Ninja weapons that are unaffected by row placement, like boomerangs.

THE AGE STAT IS THE BEST STAT This is a reference to Jared’s older vids. It’s the crappy console. Go watch it.

Damn. I never knew about the bad ending. I beat it using a walkthrough, so yeah. Edit: Two years ago, I beat it again, without any walkthrough, but I hit the good ending again without remembering that there was such thing as different endings. So I watched Jerd's gameplay on the gameplay channel and remembered again.

GUESS WHO'S BACK BACK AGAIN JARED'S BACK TELL A FRIEND

Little lore: The reason he looks like that in his final form is because they used to seal all their bad guys that were too powerful into a tree in the Great Forest of Moore. Eventually the tree gained sentience as all the spirits gain a singular goal. Unable to pass on they beg for the end of their existence, to end their suffering, to return everything to the void. With that goal in mind the tree turns into ExDeath, a walking manifestation of their desires, trying to erase all existence, including their own, with the void. At the end when ExDeath is consumed by the void, causing him to lose his sanity in exchange for more power, what you’re seeing is all the spirits sealed within losing their singular focus and being torn apart into their individual forms. No longer being ExDeath but a mass of evil spirits forming a collective known as Neo ExDeath.

He looks newer.... Aged.... Like a betrayed battle scortched warrior who just came back after venturing 5 years into the darkness. The end result? He looks as great as ever.

Today was the day I finished the Pixel Remaster of Final Fantasy V. Phenomenal game. Definitely didn't care much for the story, but the gameplay was definitely one of the strongest of the original 6 games. Now I press for ward in my Final Fantasy journey to Final Fantasy VI! I will finish ALL of these mainline games, good or bad!

That ending was one of the few times that meme actually got me lol. nice job Jared. I'm glad you are back. Keep up the good work
