Tetsuya Nomura might have the most specific tastes and aesthetics of any video game developer. Even Kojima and Yoko Taro aren’t as consistent in what they like.
@@K-Choi I mean… Kid Cloud literally grew up wanting to be like Sephiroth, so it’s more likely Cloud just tried extra hard to mimic everything he’d seen about Sephiroth while growing up (Shinra also using Seph as their poster boy hero..) A lot of Cloud’s mannerisms (before he truly finds HIMSELF) are based on everything he idolised from watching Zack and Sephiroth.
If anything despite the fans saying Cloud is imitating Zack I see him doing more of Sephiroths mannerisms. And its perfect like that, they were made to contrast each other.
You do know that they're not selling as well as they used to back then. Final Fantasy is not the same as it used to. The idea of making it episodic really upset people. Especially their old fans. They could have released the whole game. Since Final Fantasy 13 they had been struggling.
considering the focus of First Soldier being Young Sephiroth's life, I won't be surprised if young Genesis appears in this Season 2 later or in a Season 3.
Seeing how charismatic and nice Angeal is here makes his story in CC the saddest of the three friends. Also watch Gen show up next with his uniform altered in some way without officials knowing cause he wouldn’t want to be the same as the 3rds lol
This will probably be one of the most interesting part of First Soldier. Sephiroth didn't take too kindly to being woken. You can see Angeal will have a lot of ground to cover to break down Sephiroth's walls to get to know the real Sephiroth. I'm curious if this was actually some of the cut content from Crisis Core? I had heard that about 50% of Crisis Core was cut due to the UMD costs for PSP. The story of the Masamune will definitely be in this and it seems like they are going to focus on Sephiroth's and Angeal's friendship at first. I wonder how they will introduce Genesis? Will it be later in the episode because Angeal actually knew Genesis before he meets Sephiroth; they actually grew up together in Banora. I feel pretty confident Genesis will at least get mentioned. I really hope they go ham on this, once they introduce the trio, they should have a serious ancient demonic threat appear that will require the cooperation of this trio. It should also be stressed Sephiroth cannot do it alone and needs Angeal and Genesis's power to vanquish it. Something like a 9 headed Hydra Dragon or something. This is potentially the most strongest trio in the FF7 Universe. The hype is back!! Still disappointed in the Halloween event, there could have been a story and a new boss... but...this has excited me.
Knowing he grew up with shorter hair, doesn’t really do anything for me. I prefer the long air edge lord, look and him acting normal in crisis. Core is good enough for me. But this is pretty awesome.
Yes, the story is supposed to focus on how they met, their friendship, and the Masamune. Young Genesis may appear near the end but will definitely be in Episode 3 if he isn't involved in this one.
As soon as I saw young Sephiroth, it gave me Xehanort vibes. Leading to believe the real antagonist is someone other than the person we've known for years to be undone by someone else. Like true Jenova and Hojo. Ever notice their FFVII anniversary emblems always have Cloud, Zach and Sephiroth? Guess who's gonna be the main trio in the final battle...
The camera guy turns into a robed man then? Angeal seemed like a good enough supportive friend to encourage Sephiroth in general and to block out 'Hojo' ... Jenova hallucinations of Hojo maybe? So many parallels to Cloud. Poor Seph, he looks sad & exhausted, never got to live a normal life. He really lost it after losing his friends for a reason.
@@ms.pirate Maybe that good side of Seph that still exists wants to help Cloud out for that very reason, so that they can finally defeat the "source of everything" which is Jenova, together?🤔
From the first trailer, I was thinking the camera guy was going to turn out to be 'Snaps' from FF7 Rebirth. But I think you are right, this camera guy turns into a robed figure, so it can't be him.
Yeah. My theory is the cameraman saw something he shouldn’t have and Hojo makes him disappear by turning him into an experiment. Sephiroth does look exhausted. I think Jenova may be trying to break into his mind through his nightmares, so he isn’t really getting proper rest when he’s asleep. Or it could just be motion sickness, I also feel exhausted while riding in vehicles.
I'm happy Baby Angeal is now a thing, and Versus XIII's influence reached Ever Crisis after Kingdom Hearts(Yozora) and Reynatis! P.S. I hope Before Crisis and Advent Children make it to this prequel of a prequel!
Now we'll actually see their friendship evolve unlike in Crisis Core where we're just told that they were friends. It's nice to know Angeal approached Sephiroth with open arms.

Yeah, after a month I still can't sign in. It keeps saying Unable to Connect with no way to get past it. Tried uninstalling, tried clearing data, tried an entirely new sign in. Nothing works.
The two games are not related. But this is a gatcha game, so it's not finished... Episodes are released step by step. I think you can play them in parallel.
