The name Sephiroth originates from the kaballa, an ancient text about angels and demons where Sephiroth is featured as one the strongest fallen angels in the whole world. This theme would actually suit him well too

They didn't use "Gloriosa, Generosa". They used "Haryuu no Hanakata," which was used in the original Safer Sephiroth soundtrack and basically no other version of One Winged Angel...presumably because having one Japanese line in the middle of the otherwise-Latin lyrics was kinda weird.

I never intended to have anything to do with Final Fantasy. Dunno why, I was just like 'nah, don't need to.' But then Sephiroth in Smash happened. I think it's safe to say people are hype for the FF7 remake xD So many remixes lately. You and Johny Atma are doing a good job driving the hype train for me. I'm hoping the remakes show Sephiroth as the amazing villain he is in Crysis Core and Advent Children. Playing back through the PS1 game on PS4, and man he's a mommy's boy in the original =__= I want my Crisis Core Sephiroth!
