I said the exact same thing! I've never seen anyone customize the tab stylesheet before (the one exception is I've seen a few videos where the colours are inverted, it went from default white to black)

Staff on top looks clean. Very detailed but still readable. Sometimes these play alongs have really rough engraving. Yours looks great and the playing is really rippin'! Thank you!

Hey thanks so much! I actually really enjoy the transcribing / engraving process and I really try my best to do things properly, so I take this as a big compliment 😀 This song was a kind of interesting challenge to write out because of delay effect towards the end. I could have just wrote in "with delay" or something, but I thought some viewers would be interested in exactly what beats the echoes fell on. I also really wanted to keep it all on one staff, so I had to get a little creative. Anyway, it's not all the time that I get engraving compliments, so as a music nerd your comment really made my day 😂 Thank for watching!

This has got to be the most underrated and underappreciated RU-vid channel I've ever come across. 😮 Your tabs are 100% spot on, your bass tone and playing is amazing, your song choices are killer, and your video production is not only superb but also unique AF. 🤘 I've seen lots of videos with scrolling tabs on the screen, but I've never seen anyone customize the tabs stylesheet before. 🎼 Mario 2 Overworld had the classic 16bit look, FF7 (my all-time favourite game) looked just like the in-game menu screens. Like wow! 😍 I subscribed and activated the bell, I can't wait to see more. You're my new favourite bass channel! 🎸 (backstory: my band wants me to learn the Mario 2 Overworld theme so that's what brought me to your channel 😊)

@@Potatointhehood Ahh. In that section, the bass notes are echoed with a delay of 1 and 2/3 beat. The practical way to play this would be to use a delay pedal, but I decided to tab it out in case anybody wanted to know how to do it without a delay pedal. The notes in "( )" are the echoed notes. I decided to record those notes separately which was a little challenging but fun!

Great question, especially since I typically prefer do to play fingerstyle. In this case, I found that I was able to get closer to the tone of the original by using a pick.

Oh wow, yeah it's really cool how they approached a lot of the music. Lots of the songs were genre swapped and all kinds of interesting things. I couldn't wait to hear this one, and it was completely unrecognizable.

Ok, well....I guess looking into it further, it's a completely different track for the wall market. I think you can buy oppressed people for the music player, but it's not actually playing at wall market. Sorry for the confusion. Great video, lol
